The scenery there is spectacular! The mist just adds something extra special - makes it a lovely backdrop for photos. I could sit and enjoy this scenery for hours. Especially the pretty waterfalls.
It’s such a huge place. We been to the panhandle many times but the interior is so vast so we’ve only been to the tourist areas of Anchorage and Whitehorse Yukon
Gosh the scenery is just magical! I love the look of Eddystone rock at 0:30. It's so cool that it was originally part of a volcano! The mist really adds to the ambiance of the place. The water looks beautiful and calm. Alaska looks so beautiful - I would love to visit one day.
Cool rock that used to be a volcano! We did not know that area was a temperate rainforest, interesting. It wouldn't be the Misty Fjords if it weren't misty! 😉 We do enjoy cool rock formations
Eddystone rock was a great first vista. So pretty cruising through the fjords, the mist hanging in trees was stunning. That water fall would be amazing after heavy rain. Thanks for sharing
That small island looks amazing with Eddy stone rock stands on! The misty Fjords looks magical, it looks like in the movie, I never thought that kind of natural view exist in Alaska, thanks for sharing the little information about the misty Fjords.
Oh wow what an absolutely stunning cruise - the mist over the water and mountains is so beautiful! I now really want to visit Alaska (I wanted too already but now even more)
This place looks really mysterious! 16,7 mln acres, wow! That's a huge territory. Such relaxing views.. Eddy stone rock on a way looks great. Thanks for sharing all facts about it :)
I came across your video again which I truly enjoy watching. I saw your videos on South America when I was planning my trip but now with Covid, we are not so sure yet but we are heading to Alaska. Did you visit the totem park when you were in Ketchikan?
I’ve been to both. Saxman Native Village and the Totem Pole Park. They’re both worth visiting and a great place for pictures We’re also thinking about doing a South America next year but Covid is making us nervous to go too far from home
@@EdwardTravels thank you for the info. I'll keep in mind. A friend told me that totem park is a must see. It's either totem park or Saxman native village. They do not have a tour that would go to both
The excursion boat was fairly large. On the first level where we sat , they had a snack bar and a couple of bathrooms. I’d inquire with the cruise line but I think it was an accessible excursion
I don't think I've ever seen just the core of a volcano - that's interesting! The cruise reminds me quite a lot of Milford Sound in New Zealand, which is actually also a fjord. The mists rolling down are really cool. Did you get very wet from the Fjords? 😅
Yes we had this tour in the morning and then we were free in the afternoon. I think some people in my group walked over to Creek Street later in the day

Well if you ever find yourself on an Alaska Cruise then the Misty Fjords are the place for you
What gorgeous views. Alaska is one of the last few states I have not been. I plan on visiting within the next 2-3 years.

Beautiful!!
Have you ever been out to the Fjords?
@@EdwardTravels no not yet. Looks like something I would love to do!
That's amazing information about the Eddystone rock. The misty fjords are a great excursion
Yup. I thought it was all very interesting to learn about

That rock was unexpected and it was very interesting to see out in the middle of the channel

It’s such a pretty place. That’s the first time I’d been there so it was a treat to see

I think that 16.7 million acres covers most of the Alaska panhandle. Such a prettt area
Really amazing place, specifically the rocks, I just thinking about how you managed the whole tour during pandamic situation
Traveling during covid was something else but the cruise line made sure it was done safely using all kinds of protocols

How comfortable is the boat itself? What is the bathroom situation? Are they easily accessible for someone in a wheel chair?

We did get wet as it was lightly raining. It wasn’t bad so we we’re good
@@EdwardTravels Nice - I remember I was completely soaked in NZ.
Would you still have time to walk around Ketchikan if you did this tour? Either before or after?
Yes we had this tour in the morning and then we were free in the afternoon. I think some people in my group walked over to Creek Street later in the day
