    Although Black Friday pricing has ended, using my code can still get you the lowest price of the year! You can find the code in the description!

      Yeh they're not bad at all! I wish I could have demonstrated the multiscreen mode. Hopefully they get the desktop software out soon.

    Great video, Troy... thanks for packing so much info into under 10 minutes. I don't know enough about this stuff so I wanted to see if you do: Can I watch video feed from a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 (an aMAZing little camera!) on the Rokid Max 2 glasses either directly via Bluetooth or with DJI's Mimo app on my Samsung S23+ phone. DJI says there's no POV, VR or Smart glasses that are compatible but, from info in your video it looks like it just might work.
    'preciate any help in advance...
    Best,
    Matt

    Are you able to screen shot what you see in the glasses?

    Why are the subtitles not working with netflix, hbo or sky. I watch them with my phone.

      At the moment it’s Galaxy S24 ultra for personal & iPhone for work…but I I switch the ultra with the Pixel 9 Pro occasionally.

    I have the Max 2 glasses, but I find them difficult to do any PC gaming on, as the edges of the stationary monitor are blurry.
    What I can't seem to confirm anywhere, is whether it's possible to mirror a PC screen through the Station accessory, enabling 3DOF while PC gaming.

    Hi. I also ordered them a month ago, but they haven't been sent yet. I wanted to ask when you ordered them and when they were sent to you?

    • @WhatGear
      @WhatGear  Месяц назад +2

      These were shipped from Rokid direct. Unfortunately I don't know when they sent it.

      A lot of people who backed Max 2 glasses + Station 2 on kickstarter a few months ago are also waiting for Rokid to keep up on their promise, while not being very transparent or even helpful with their communication.
      But apparently, a bunch of glasses have been produced and maybe shipped, so I hope you'll get yours "soon" (that's a word they like very much when answering).

      @@bencharpentier A lot of people also paid extra to get first batch shipping and are still waiting. So if you bought them on their website expect a LONG wait.

    Could you connect the glasses to a PS4 and watch 3D BlueRays?

    I like the look of these. Too expensive for me to take a punt on currently but looking forward to seeing the progress in the next couple of years. I have quite strong prescription glasses, can I wear these over the glasses? Or is it not recommended. I shudder to ask how much putting prescription lenses in the rokid would be.

    I wear reading glasses +1.25 or 1.5 to read or look at my phone up close would I need reading glasses to use these or is the focal length at 6 ft

    • @RokidGlobal
      @RokidGlobal Месяц назад

      Hello, we believe you won’t need to use reading glasses, as the screen you see through the glasses is equivalent to a viewing distance of 6 meters (approximately 20 feet).

    I'm not a fan of the "bug eye" look. Every other company goes with a wayfarer for a reason.
    If Rokid changes that, I'll buy these, unless there's a wayfarer version I'm not aware of.
    And when you walk out in front of the glasses to show the transparency, it looks like you can barely see the screen because you can see right through it.
    Is the screen this transparent, or is that a "through the lense" misinterpretation? I totally get that it could be given what you're trying to work with, lol, but just wondering if things are clearer in headset. Thank you 🙂

    Have you used any of the Nreal or now Xreal Air / Air 2 / Pro models? If you have, how do these compare in display quality and perceived screen size?

    This is a ridiculous purchase. A quest 3 is so much better than this.

    • @WhatGear
      @WhatGear  Месяц назад

      Yeh it's the same price as Quest 3S entry model...but Rokid kind of position this as AR first due to the clear lenses

      I completely disagree.
      I commute every day to and from work. A one hour total trip, each way. There's no way I'm strapping a VR headset to my face in public.
      These are THE best solution to killing my commute time. And it has phone screen emulation, so I can watch my stuff AND use it like it's my phone at the same time.
      This is pretty much all I'd need.
      I'll keep my Quest 3 for gaming at home, but for media, these are only 75grams. It's sh!tty wearing a Q3 in bed when trying to relax and watch a movie.
      And when it comes to productivity, you're going to be looking down at your keyboard constantly. We all do. I'd rather be craning my neck up and down hundreds of times with only 75 grams on it instead of 517 grams.
      The fact that it gets 5 hours of playtime, Google playstore, Netflix, prime, RUclips, etc, plus a web browser is perfect considering it's just a pair of glass i can pop in my coat pocket. Are you kidding me? It's perfect.
      Add a blue tooth game controller and some wireless earbuds, and you're gaming on a giant screen with spatial audio and a killer bass to go with it. On a friggin' train! I'm sorry, but that's awesome.
      I've done movies in Q2 and Q3. I've played all kinds of games. I bought 3 bobovr S3 batteries and the charging dock for them, for my Q3. I never run out of power now.
      But after hours of gaming, your neck feels it. A Q3 with a bobovr halo strap and battery gives a Q3 the total weight of approximately 1550 grams. That's the weight of an average 2 slice toaster.
      The Rokid glasses are 75 grams. That's a deck of playing cards. I know which one i want stuck to my head on my commute, and for media consumption on the couch or bed, lol.
      Don't get me wrong, Q3 is my favorite thing and watching movies in virtual worlds, or while doing some Real VR Fishing is great, but it gets tiring.
      These glasses would get more use than my Q3 in the way my daily life is. I mostly use my Q3 for media. That's not needed anymore with these.
      And with OLED displays in these glasses, it's not even close.

      @WhatGear 10 years from now vr will be in glasses format as well. But the question is, why would you be walking around in public in VR. That seems like it's the death knell for humanity if it becomes that augmented.
