If you have not checked out, enjoy BTS more channel, you should look at it she has put so much work into putting a lot of their live performances up with subtitles, and you might have better chance of putting them up without being blocked. And English is her second language as well, and it amazes me the amount of love that she is put into doing all the subtitle work!
The hate that the holy trinity ( Dynamite, Butter and PTD) get and still get is insane..these 3 songs got ya’ll mad when all they were doing is trying to make us feel better while in the midst of a pandemic. Went as far as saying they are trying to get western validation meanwhile tons of other kpop grps have English songs but no one says anything..just enjoy their music cause I’m sure they will be performing them when the finally have their cb concert in 2025-2026 💜
Honestly, I never heard what anyone was saying about the songs. Butter is my worst enemy in music. It’s everything I do not like. So I thought that all their songs are like Butter. It’s just personal preference. Maybe if I were an Army before these songs came to be, I would have been more ok with Butter, but that song is my death honestly. It followed me everywhere. Work? Butter! Uber? Butter! Home Radio? Butter! Tescos? Butter…😂😂😂 it was following me I swear! Dynamite is okish for me. It’s not that bad. 😂 But before I listen to Butter again…I need time. But honestly, I’d take any Korean song before the English ones. Even the Stray Kids translated songs, I listen to the original Korean ones. They hit differently. It’s just personal preference. 💜
LIke @lorydannagr for those of us who weren't Army back then...but I kept hearing about BTS so I checked out their Butter special performance MV, and for me who doesn't listen to a lot of straight up pop music, just thought it was okay but didn't draw me in. It was actually the gatekeeper that kept me from wanting to learn more about BTS until last year when Army edits kept showing up in my IG reels despite being no where near stan socials and they themselves and their relationships drew me in and I found myself watching Rise of Bangtan before I could even name another song which lead me to deep dive further into their discography and now I'm a streaming/voting Army. I understand getting defensive about Butter and the English trio, but for some of us they weren't the comfort songs they were for others. I can NOW appreciate the intention behind them, but for many of us it isn't about hating on them bc the songs are in English or western validation, etc, those reasons didn't even cross my mind back then and aren't what stopped me from wanting to know more. BUT it just goes to show that BTS will find you when you need them/are ready, so here we all are loving them and looking forward to their CB no matter what.
Exactly! As outsiders we cannot get the comfort Armys got from these songs. For us were just some songs in English done by a Korean group that we knew nothing of. So we judged based on what we heard. It was nothing personal. I am a Stay and I have a Stray Kids song that I cannot listen to as it drives me insane.
Yes they're dancing is beyond me it's so incredible and so in sync. This song is fire and together they won't fall that just shows their bond and how they rely on each other. Beautiful reaction. LOL you ended up doing Butter ☺️ Borahae 💜
It's true that I don't like their English songs as much as their Korean songs, I think they are fine though, As Yoongi said, they were meant to make people have a good time without thinking too much in those dark times. But the amount of hate from k-popers and prejudice from locals is kinda over the top. Anyways, it was funny to see those people choke on their words when they found out Bangtan has the best rappers, the best discography, the best lyrics, etc. It's fine If you never watch Butter again! they have a ton of songs I'm sure you will love 🙃
I am unaware of the backlash they got. I have beef with Butter and only Butter. 😂😂😂 Because it persecuted me. That’s all. I prefer the Korean ones because of the music choice. I do not like Michael Jackson and that song has a similar vibe.
Yoongi is definitely top tier, not only his looks and incredible rapping but his powerful creative mind. Butter is not a favourite song of mine either, but i love their performance at the Whammies, oops, i meant grammies. It's a must-see choreography.
If i hadn't loved Yoongi's music first and known how good the Korean songs were before dynamite, i probably wouldn't have loved it as much as i did at the time. so i understand not being ready for the English songs yet. Permission to dance is probably my favorite out of all the English songs. But that's probably because it didn't get the hype it deserves and didn't get overplayed on the radio.😂💜💜 anyway, love your reactions. I've been watching since your first few videos.🫶🏼🫰🏼

Not Today is among the top songs/MV on my list. It’s okay if you don’t want to watch Butter. You don’t have to like every song. While it isn’t my favorite, the MV is fun and the Gr@mmy live performance was amazing. I appreciate the reason behind the song. There are so many incredible songs. Many times I find the B songs pulling me in more. I recommend Tomorrow and NeverMind along with Just One Day. As much as you love Yoongi, I recommend First Love and The Last. Tissues are needed for both of these very personal songs. Yoongi pours his heart out in both. His voice invokes such deep emotions. I also want to make sure you know about Interlude: Set Me Free (different song than Jimin’s Set Me Free pt 2). This song is the song that helps bring me calm and peace. It is beautiful. Jimin’s Alone is my favorite song off his solo album. I think he said it was his favorite song off his album too. (Btw, I love pink hair Jimin. Something special about it.) I have so many recommendations. Not possible to put them all here. But honestly, you can’t go wrong with whatever you listen to next or the order you go in. Many people will have their idea of what you should do, but there is no wrong way. The only reason to watch anything in order is if you get into the Bangtan Universe (BU) then it makes a difference and it is very deep and complicated. But as long as you are just wanting to get to know them them just keep diving and enjoying. Borahae!
I enjoyed your reaction. I had never seen any group dance like this before ,so I wanted to see more.Jhope, Jimin and JK got together and named themselves the 3J's . They do special stages for shows. One in particular is the Home party dance practice, which is great, they have the actual performance too, but the camera work is terrible and the lighting detracts from their dancing. For live performance I have seen other reactors use Enjoy BTS More, and that doesn't seem to have a problem. See you soon.💜
Butter is not my fav also although I don't hate it like many do. But I really like Dynamite and Permission to Dance. I genuinely cannot understand why people would use strong words like "hate" for a song like Permission to Dance which literally asks people to just cheer up! And the sign language in the choreo was such a sweet thing to do as well! Please give PTD more love you'll. I think that song deserves some praise!💜
I do not know PTD, but Dynamite is fine (not my favourite, but it’s ok). I only have a problem with Butter. I do hate it as I cannot stand to listen to it even a little. 😂 It’s not my style of music. I understand the choice, but it’s just not to my liking. But I do understand that others can love it. It’s personal. It was overplayed in the UK. Wherever I was, there was Butter. I heard it so much that I ended up hating it. I have a Stray Kids song that I hate as well. It’s not something to do with BTS. 😂 Just with that song!
@@lorydannagr I do get you!😊 We have our personal choices. Since you have listened to Butter and didn't like it, it's okay. @@lorydannagr. I’ve been enjoying your reactions to BTS immensely. I’m a little jealous that Butter was following you everywhere. I would have given my left ear to have heard it played anywhere but unfortunately it was not given any radio play in my area. Only time I heard it was when I played my playlist. It was such a light hearted happy song and the boys had so much fun doing it as they were having a hard time as well during the pandemic. When they did Butter at Grammys they got a standing ovation. For Live performances - watch or use Enjoy BTS More - they will not be blocked - she also uses accurate lyric translation! www.youtube.com/@EnjoyBTSmore
While Butter and PTD aren't my faves of their songs, I simply do not understand the hate towards the English songs. I mean they do whole albums in Japanese! I don't listen to any other "Kpop" artists so I don't know, is this a thing in the industry?
I only hate Butter. 😂 But I do prefer the Korean versions because of the lyrics. They are having more substance then the English versions of the same song. Stray Kids have English versions of the Korean ones. And 2 members are Australian. The songs are fine, but the Korean language adds culture, and different substance. The English ones cater to the western understanding and lack the traditions and most of the symbolism. This is why for me.
So in other words you think like every other kpoppie that they did it for western validation meanwhile they themselves say they did for us to be happy during the pandemic they do not need any validation and they can sing in any language and do any genre they want
It was for you as you were an Army at that time. It is not for me as I met them after. As an outsider you do not look at all the history of a group when you listen to a song. Not everybody is so crazy about Kpop to get into everything a group does. Liking only some of the songs it’s acceptable as not all the songs will be for every ear. And we are all so different. If all of our tastes would be the same, how lame would that be. And no, I do not think like any other kpopie that they did it for the western validation. I do not like the English songs because of personal preference. I do not care what others say about the songs.
yes I agree the Korean songs have more depth and they sing with soul even if we know why they sang the English songs I love them in the original hope they stick with it..
Love this. Love the Korean songs too : inpexressibly superior to their English songs. I think those were made for two purposes - simply to be cheerful and make people dance and smile (which they did) and additionally to see whether the US media would give BTS the coverage they deserve if they ever conceded to all those repeated requests to sing in English. They must have had hundreds of interviewers ask when they would do an album in English! Well, I think the answer to the last question was, they did get a bit more exposure on eg radio, but nothing like they deserved! Now, if you're interested, Boracity Magazine has a video which probably clarifies that (though it predates any of those songs). She explains a bit about the financial construction of US media which very heavily uses something called "payola" (bribery) - supposedly outlawed, but .... not so much. Big Hit have never done Payola. For years they lacked funds, and I think afterwards just refuse because they disagree with it on principle. Not that I know anything.... Anyway - back to Not Today. One of my favourite songs for years : right up my street, carrying me back to my teens and all the 'protest pop' of that era. I don't think there are any actual links or direct influences, or that BTS necessarily knows anything about the songs that drove my teens. but, this is home to me as are all the others. As to the absolute mystery on how they construct the presentation of set, costumes, choreography - and all the rest - YES, it is simply something magical. It comes somehow out of the ether with no logical source. Except of course, that the people doing it all live in a sea where these creative currents are everywhere. On the one have that sounds wonderful (also right up my street) but on the other, terrifying. The time pressures, cost management, and hundreds of decisions required every few minutes must be crushing. But whatever it takes, BTS' teams are able to come together with such flair and confidence, and they clearly manage to attract the best - and bring the best out in them. I suspect that this is the real genius of Big Hit. Clearly BSH can be incredibly hard headed but he manages to marry that with an incredibly facilitative and enabling management process - and he listens. He really does listen to his people. He's ot always right (he wanted to dump Jimin FGS!) but he listens to those who disagree and can be persuaded he was being a dick. That's pretty rare I think in many management structures. Another thought on Not Today - you mention the references which also surfaced in other songs. I don;t know if I recognised them all, BUT am I alone in feeling a rush of affection and comfort when I do, when some Korean reference which means nothing over here, like baepsae hits my ear and sets a whole context which ARMY can recognise? BTS do this more than any western band I know of and probably more than other Kpop bands I've heard- or am I wrong about that? It seems to me that where bands did not have their own input into material it might be unlikely to have these cross-references, but as bands do more of their own songs, there is more chance of it. I notice that you never really talk Stray Kids here, but I wonder how you now are as a Stay. I'd love to hear hoe the music of BTS and SKS communicate in your existence. Please don;t feel obliged, but also don't feel you can't bring them into this channel....
I do not know if you know Stray Kids music or not. I cannot draw parallels between BTS and Stray Kids as they are 180 different. I love Stray Kids and will forever love them. I am very much involved in my Stay community. In July they will have their first concert in London and I cannot wait to go (bought the tickets in the presale 😂). I listen to Stray Kids every day. They saved my life (literally). I would not be here today if not for them. This is why I found it very hard to accept other groups at the beginning. I felt like cheating on them. 😂 I accepted Ateez because they are friends in real life. I know TXT and Enhypen are also their friends but I know 0 of their work. BTOB are also their firends, but also, I only know a song by them as Stray Kids performed it. 😂 I heard about BTS long before I knew of Stray Kids. But in the UK we mostly have the English songs and those are not my stye at all. Butter is my death. 😂 I hate that song from the bottom of my heart. This is why I stayed away from BTS. Then one day I saw online Mic Drop with Steve Aoki and I said that there is no way Steve would get into a Butter type of song. So I recorded my reaction…I was like…let’a see this crap…and I was so pleasantly surprised. And I am so happy now that I left Butter away and gave them a chance. I love them now. But it was hard. 💜
@@lorydannagr I don't know Stray Kids music (except just very promising snippets). They are a band I need to explore, and I'm interested that you see no parallels / relationship with BTS. Now, see me, to me that's a challenge! Because in some of those snippets, I feel a fellow energy. Subject matter may differ, but I feel some of those lyric snippets hit me on the same ribs! I bow to your knowledge of their work, but I need to poke around for myself 😂 .... and I was hoping you would be my short cut 😂💜
I am here to help with anything. But I will only be a slight guide. I believe that the relationship one has with music is very personal, and needs time to discover on their own. They will have slight similarities because they come from the same country with the same traditions, understandings, ways of saying, proverbs, and many more. So some things can feel similar. But when it comes to music style, they are very different. They have the hype songs that Stray Kids are known for. But for most Stays, those are not as important as the B sides. Songs that speak about growing up, mental health, suici..de, and many other difficult topics. These are the songs that most Stays are so into Stray Kids. This is how they saved my life. And BTS have similarities in topics, but they are very differently explored and exposed. And the music choice is also very different. I love both, and on a daily basis I choose by listening to my feelings on the day. 💜
Please react to stuck with you is a song by Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber that Jimin danced to in his very unique style I would love to know your opinion
'stop recommending me Butter'.. who does that? we need to talk lmao can't believe an OG ARMY would do that especially knowing Lory enjoys lyrics. Butter.. really, ARMY? I know taste is subjective and their Eng songs have their stans too but know your audience..? that being said! their live performance @ their PTD concerts with Dynamite+Butter is a k¡ller, it's great!! but just know your target amis... Maybe don't think so much about your own preference and more about the person who's starting to know the boys

Hi, I tend to hang out in the background but I wanted to ask if you were aware Lee Know was a back up dancer for this song? :) Borahae, Lory!
Hi! Yes I do 💜💜💜
I have a reaction that will come and that will show why I know 💜💜💜
I had hoped, that way you get the best of both worlds :) @@lorydannagr
I love the fact that Lee Know was their backup dancers ❤️
@@lorydannagr 💜
React jungkook hate you @I Heart radio,@time square please
Helloooo. Can you react to the truth untold pleasse? It's only the vocal line, lyrics are insaneee and te vocals.......you know....💜💜💜💜
yes I agree the Korean songs have more depth and they sing with soul even if we know why they sang the English songs I love them in the original hope they stick with it..
I agree Their Korea songs are amazing but they have only 3 english songs and some people make it a big deal other groups have english songs too
I heard about BTS long before I knew of Stray Kids.
Jimin.🔥🔥🔥😘👌👍❤️❤️❤️
So ppl gotta pay $6 to watch you react to content we can watch for free anytime..make it make sense..
You do not have to. And most content will be here anyway.
Please react to stuck with you is a song by Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber that Jimin danced to in his very unique style I would love to know your opinion
He danced on Stuck with you? 💜💜💜
@@lorydannagr Yes he danced, the song is wonderful, please react to that video, he tried very hard, he did it for army
'stop recommending me Butter'.. who does that? we need to talk lmao can't believe an OG ARMY would do that especially knowing Lory enjoys lyrics. Butter.. really, ARMY? I know taste is subjective and their Eng songs have their stans too but know your audience..? Lory's said she prefers rap and you're recommending Butter pls lmao not to mention their Eng songs represents Bangtan the least BY FAR regardless of the taste of whose listening
that being said! their live performance @ their PTD concerts with Dynamite+Butter is a k¡ller, it's great!! but just know your target amis... Maybe don't think so much about your own preference and more about the person who's starting to know the boys
I can listen to any other song besides Butter. 😂💜 That song kept me away from BTS for years, that much I hate it. Dynamite is okish. PTD i did not listen yet, but will. 💜
@@lorydannagr I doubt you'll like PTD lol but maybe? of their 3 songs it's the one I like the least but their PTD concert was great. I side-eye whenever I see an ARMY claiming their Eng songs are their faves but they do exist as hard to believe as it is for me
