    "Lucky for us, Maya is smart" are words I never heard in this order before.
    Good tutorial though!

    When I bring the newton field and press play, the particles fall to the ground instead of getting attracted to the icon. what can be wrong ? thanks.

    Thank you so much Monica🤗 so sweet of you to do this tutorial👍 just one question how to render thise bees out as geometry. I want to bring Them in to Nuke for compositing. 😊

    • @AcademicPhoenixPlus
      @AcademicPhoenixPlus  5 лет назад

      yes you can! they are considered duplicates of the original geometry so they will render and then comp them in nuke. I'm glad this is helpful! would love to see your final scene when complete!

    So useful! Can you do this with low intensity point light sources?

    • @AcademicPhoenixPlus
      @AcademicPhoenixPlus  4 года назад +1

      Unfortunately no, lights can't be used. But you can make geometry 'glow' with emission :)

    Since it is particles, can particles render in Arnold?

    Great butt-flies, thanks :D
    Can you somehow activate animation on the geometry to for example make their wings flap?

    • @AcademicPhoenixPlus
      @AcademicPhoenixPlus  5 лет назад +5

      you can! It's a bigger process, but I'm making a tutorial on it now (it's a bird). Should be out by next week so keep an eye out!

    Cool!
    I made swarm of fireflies but I stock on the glowing material. How to make a randomly (for each particle) flickering glow?

    • @AcademicPhoenixPlus
      @AcademicPhoenixPlus  5 лет назад +1

      You can animate the texture, so the glow looks like it's flickering. I have a tutorial on it here. Hopefully it helps! ruclips.net/video/mFPDbAtFY5g/видео.html
