    I’m a CS major taking an animation class and your tutorials totally have me wanting to do more outside of class. Thanks for making these and saying blobbies in an adorable way!

      I'm so happy you are enjoying it! CS majors are perfect for VFX like particles. There's a lot of troubleshooting which you are used to. :) And that's not how you say "blobbies"? lol! :D

    For particle water simulation, you can set the Point Force Field parameter to Worldspace mode. In this case, the particles will not move down a flat plane below. If in this mode for spherical particles the Self Attract parameter is unscrewed by 10, they will be collected into drops and drops from the emitter like drops from a tap.
    Nevertheless, artifacts on the water remain in the form of spheres and depressions between the spheres. Therefore, instead of using Blobby Surface, it is better to make the water surface polygonal and cache it in alembic.
    Modify -> Convert -> nParticle to Polygons
    This is necessary, to better display particles as water in the render =) Like

    Is there a way in this process where I can keep just one frame of the simulated result?
    For example, if I was filling a bowl up with cereal, I'd want to simulate these particles into the bowl just to get an accurate result rather than doing this by hand. Then once I'm happy with what's been simulated, I want to keep that final frame of the result and delete all simulation. Hopefully I explained this decently.

    Hi, Monica. I have a problem in Maya and I can't get rid of it. How do you clear Opacity PP command under Per Particle (Array) Attributes? I was following a tutorial and it said to apply an attribute. I read, and read, and shut it down and reset the settings.... nothing works. I also did a right-click and chose Break Connection. The attribute is still there. and it is affecting all the work I do with particles. It is an Opacity and an RGB attribute. Do you have any idea about how to clear that attribute from there? Thank you. BTW, I enjoy your tutorials!

    Hi Monica jubi jeaaaa jubi jubi jeaaaa love your tutorial so helpful. Please make some more. Can you explain how to export particals out as geo. I want to bring it into Nuke and work with an object in 3D space. The problem is that when you are doing n'particles (and I want that) it is does not have any keyframes to export. What to do????

      That’s an interesting idea, Chris. I can definitely look into it. I think you can cache the nParticles, but i’m not sure about baking. I’ll have to check it out!

    • @sprechensiedeutsch1330
      @sprechensiedeutsch1330 5 лет назад +1

      You need to klick on nParticleShape1 then Shading - then Incandescene - then the little black and white window next to selected color => here down on the left you can see arnold - klick on it - then klick on Shader - then klick on Surface -then klick on ai StandardSurface - now you can use it:)
      Then just follow her instructions.
      I just have the problem now that nothing happens when I use the Frosted_Glas Preset... It changes the color of the bubbles in maya into black but as soon as I render it in arnold.. they look exactly the same as without the Frosted_Glass Shader... so the colour change just happens in maya but in arnold its all the same

      Which Maya are you using? They should come with Presets. Maya 2019 has a ton. Make sure you update Arnold at the Solid Angle website. Check out this tutorial where I go over presets ruclips.net/video/yAxw_jgn7DY/видео.html
