We were looking for a compact SUV for my wife. This car wasn't on our shortlist. Out of sheer curiosity, we went to the citroen showroom in Baner, Pune. The car is over 4m and not exactly a "compact" so we were a little apprehensive. Took a TD including a good bit of soft roading. Loved it and booked it right there. I've spent over 15 years working in the auto industry but lesson learnt all over again - when you get the basics right, everything else just falls by the wayside.
Great SUV , Turbo Engine with torque converter with Citroen ride quality at that price is unbelievable, Citroen just needs to ramp up dealer network - FAST.

In India no one cares about Ride Quality. If Citroen pasted a 17 inch laptop on the dashboard, it would be loved more by Indians than actually driving dynamics. We love to sit in a car and feel like we are sitting in an office.
I don't need panoramic sunroof which is quite impractical in India. I don't need funky features ,like ventilated seats, ADAS, All automatics of lights, wipers, ac. Etc., I just need a ride and handling and comforts. Best fit in budget. I think this is the car.
I own a manual 7 seater max dual tone. Simply an extraordinary machine. Already loving its suspension and ride quality.. Very practical and very spacious. Was completely avoided by the mass only because of missing unnecessary gimmick features. And now Citroen has announced that 6 airbag will be mandatory for all their cars
I am happy that Powerdrift has not kept an elitist mindset with this review and have tried to understand the strategy behind Citroen price positioning and value of its cars

If you are looking for budget friendly SUV, you don't need the modern features except those quintessential features which is basically add to your car.. I booked the c3 aircross after 9 months of research.. Best car with comfort as its dna .. I bought tata punch and was disappointed now selling my punch to get the c3 aircross.. I did a test drive and wow feels like a car with power and pleasure . It is happy to take pot holes and bad ridges in national high ways because that is the place which it can show how unique is it from its rivals ... When u want 50 % power to overtake it will deliver u 80%.. percent .. Its my request pls all people of india take a test drive of this car and see how well it performs... Ur family in the second row ur kids everyone will have such a comfortable journey...

What a beautiful presentation. I guess people don't care for a great mechanical package anymore. In-car Tech and gizmos have slowly but surely become a bigger priority for us Indians. While Tech will please your senses and ease your life for a year its the mechanical package that keeps you holding on to a car forever. Well done PD on highlighting this Car for people who still buy cars for the ride!
I don't know much about the pricing of this car and even being an Indian i find it confusing when people ask less price and more of idk what from a car. Just like an arranged marriage (Usual story is youll end up buying 😅 something that youll have to love later on as the relationship with the machine progress lol [this doesn't include those people who are just buying a car for the sake of getting a 'CAR' to commute as in you don't have any further feelings for it]😂). The technical specs of this car seems really good tbh they have a reputation for good ride comfort cuz of their suspension technology. All i care about as someone who loves to drive is how its gonna perform keeping in mind that everybody has different tastes and looks are subjective. Loved them in the rallys but lets see how they are gonna be in India for the coming years.
Citroen screwed up long ago. Completely misread Indian consumer demands. Later additions don't matter, First impressions do. Citroen will need a new generation ofC3 to explain to people how it is good. They forgot the basics that are demanded by current consumers.
Ventilated front seat and auto climate control are basically a necessity in this segment and this car doesn't have either. It might be arguably the best to drive but Indians will not buy it because it's not loaded upto the brim like its rivals
Its competitors may cost more but what you get is much more worth it. For instance yes you get a 3rd row but its the worst in the segment( and this segment has the Alcazar and that says something ) and yes its novel you can take the 3rd row seats out but do you really want to take them outside the car and risk them getting dirty? Spend the money and get a Grand Vitara or Seltos, this car is for racebois who care about turbos and gadgets, nothing else.
Not sure if the script for this video was also written in France (😉) but at least where I am from I don't have to pay for gifts that others are giving to me.
Look at C3 aircross in Europe, it's got a shape of mini Cooper with ground clearance and taller stance, Indians want boxy suv looking cars with ground clearance not crossovers like Renault Capture. A capture had more solidity as an SUV than a creta or Seltos despite the shape but nobody bought it or liked that design.
That Door Handle, Key , .... Cetroen need to understand cars are aspirational buys in India. They have touch points in city and their vehicle lack features that a city people looking,.... Spy shots of their upcoming sedan shows , even that is going to come with such door handles, remind me of 800. No wonder why their sale nos are so poor,..... ~400(all models combined).
I own a Citreon c3, excellent car with best in class ride quality, basics are all right and all necessary features are provided. Save 2 lakh over less spacious punch. This covered my fuel upto 30k km which is currently my odo. So thanks Citreon 😊
I think Citroen has missed out on reading the Indian market. It has not been able to differentiate sufficiently. As a new comer to the Indian market, it needed something to bring people to the showroom. It doesn't have a lot of wow features like a Kia. Comfort, suspension and ride quality are things people cannot experience until they come to the showroom. Also, I think the urban Indian customer which Citroen would be after is also far more savy on safety aspects. I think Citroen could've got a far better response if it could've shown a 5 star or even 4 star GNCAP rating.
You spoke about comfort without mentioned about cruise control - a crucial comfort feature for long distance drives. This car does NOT have cruise control. why?
Still lags many features. Citroen should launch a top variant of this product with additional features like 6 airbags, push button start, automatic climate control, cruise control, LED headlamps, Sunroof. Let customer choose which variant and features they want in addition to Citroen's superb suspension, ride quality and comfort.
Apart from cruise control and to some extent climate control rest aint quintessential i dont understand why sunroof is so fancied in a tropical country
We've been anticipating for the C3 Aircross to be released in Indonesia alongside eC3. Alas, the local brand holder/importer was so slow to take action. People who initially put down payments on C3 Aircross and eC3 decided to pull out after no certain confirmation on when their car is going to arrive here in Indonesia, most of which were eC3 orders. This made me sad because I do like the C3 Aircross, but seeing it not being released on time and then having customer pull out on their down payment. Made me pessimistic if we could ever have this on our roads.
Considering this for my upgrade to 6+ seater from SCross. I will wait for BNCAP rating with 6 airbags and also cruise control, reverse camera and rear wiper. Other funky features like sun roof, ventilated seats are ober rated and really not needed.
What are the safety dynamics of this car given Aircross doesn't have a GNCAP rating yet? And eC3 got zero stars - given they share the same platform will zero rating apply to Aircross version as well?

Amazing advertisements, they didn't talk about negatives at all. 😂😂😂 last row is completely useless, even kids can't sit comfortably. Rear vent is just a blower fan not ac. Also, misses the wow features. But I agree about a good ride quality with a 17 inch tyre, beautiful 10 inch display and nice discounts. I took a test ride but 3rd row comfort was a deal breaker for me.
The rear blower in C3 aircross works better than proper rear AC vents of lots of cars. It works really well in passing on on the cold air from the front side to rear occupants in no time.

Bought one and yes completely satisfied and enjoying it everyday 5k km on odo every drive it makes me feel yes you made the right decision As you mentioned this is not about the spec on sheets you get all you need and it works ! and the ride and handling that is segment above. I don’t understand why the well known reviewers and media has not showcased it the way it needs to be except powerdrift 100kmph feels like 70kmph in the koreans thats how the stability, comfort and the steering is.. I have my mom who had earlier always complained about the back pain in my previous car this one she is happy and never complains about it For 16 lakh its a steal of a deal it needs to be compared to the models in the same price like creta ex, seltos htk and elevate v germans mid variant and you wont you won’t complain about the features Its like going and test driving a top end that costs 25 lakhs and ended buying a mid variant for 16 lakhs is the features are same did i get the same feel and features And this car has option for 7 seat/3 rows may be many would say its not good but think you get a suv where others have 2 rows when there is a situation you have always an option rather than no option even if you dont use, it will give great boot space and flexibility

Considering this for my upgrade to 6+ seater from SCross.
I will wait for BNCAP rating with 6 airbags and also cruise control, reverse camera and rear wiper.
Other funky features like sun roof, ventilated seats are ober rated and really not needed.

What are the safety dynamics of this car given Aircross doesn't have a GNCAP rating yet? And eC3 got zero stars - given they share the same platform will zero rating apply to Aircross version as well?

Amazing advertisements, they didn't talk about negatives at all. 😂😂😂 last row is completely useless, even kids can't sit comfortably. Rear vent is just a blower fan not ac. Also, misses the wow features. But I agree about a good ride quality with a 17 inch tyre, beautiful 10 inch display and nice discounts. I took a test ride but 3rd row comfort was a deal breaker for me.
The rear blower in C3 aircross works better than proper rear AC vents of lots of cars. It works really well in passing on on the cold air from the front side to rear occupants in no time.
Most 3-row cars in the segment aren't really meant for 3 rows, we recommend you look a segment higher.

As you mentioned this is not about the spec on sheets you get all you need and it works ! and the ride and handling that is segment above. I don’t understand why the well known reviewers and media has not showcased it the way it needs to be except powerdrift
100kmph feels like 70kmph in the koreans thats how the stability, comfort and the steering is..
I have my mom who had earlier always complained about the back pain in my previous car this one she is happy and never complains about it
For 16 lakh its a steal of a deal it needs to be compared to the models in the same price like creta ex, seltos htk and elevate v germans mid variant and you wont you won’t complain about the features
Its like going and test driving a top end that costs 25 lakhs and ended buying a mid variant for 16 lakhs is the features are same did i get the same feel and features
And this car has option for 7 seat/3 rows may be many would say its not good but think you get a suv where others have 2 rows when there is a situation you have always an option rather than no option even if you dont use, it will give great boot space and flexibility

LED Headlamp, keyless entry, engine start stop, 6 airbag, ventilated seat, ADAS and better interior quality would be perfect
it has led drls keyless entry start stop mild hybrid not a button start stop and just seating position and comfort cannot express now your choice value for money or useless sunroof features which are not used once in a year
We’re surely gonna see more of these c3 air cross suvs with the launch of the automatic.
