Great video! My personal experience with my two Rolex pieces, I had a sub and explorer II. I completely agree with your critique. I don’t give a hoot about the past. I judge solely on merit, the present, fit and finish and quality of the sum. One of my good friends has a 126610LN, and when, comparing the SS to his sub we both agree that the SS speaks way above its price point. Until people compare them side-by-side tangibly in their own hands like you did even with the newer pieces it really is amazing how well Ginault executes.
I have no reason to show favoritism towards any watch other than what I experience when looking at everything side-by-side, and will fairly give accolades to each manufacturer for what they do well. Case closed. It’s amazing how many people get offended and emotional when it comes to horology and comparing time pieces just my two cents.

@@FadeToBlack2181 completely understand, with that said, there’s so many other things in life that sets one’s priorities on a materialistic thing like a watch! Personally, even though I collect a few watches, it doesn’t cause me to react like many do… I do it for my own satisfaction, and no one else’s. I would like to say I could care less what people think about other peoples belongings but then again, I did comment on the fact that I liked the video and the reason why I like it.

Ive had my Ginault for a week. Its a hell of a watch. The crystal is so clear, the hand finishing looks amazing. I have the BB 58 and just love this 2 watch dive combo. The Ginault is ungodly comfortable. It really is a fantastic watch.

I have two Silent Services now, along with a bunch of other watches. They’re my favorites. Some people are into brand names and douchery some are into what the watch is, and the Ginault is incredible quality. I can’t say enough about them.

have you compared the Ginault to a San Martin 019? The case and bezel action are amazing. I was told about them by my watch repair guy, and he was spot on to the quality of them. I was looking at getting the Ginault, but I may not now

What is the quality of finishing like inbetween the bezel teeth on your Ginault? That gets a lot of criticism, and to be fair it often looks really rough, almost like it has been missed. I have read some owners have even tried to clean it up with extra polishing done themselves! It's putting me off getting one.

I actually kinda hate your Ginault videos, Chris! I'm in week 7 of waiting for my Silent Service, and your glowing praise for the watch just makes the wait that much harder haha. And of course, all of the inevitable "shady past" comments just make me shake my head. Look, I get it...but it's like these self-appointed, holier-than-thou defenders of the saintly Watch Realm have never made a mistake before in their lives, know what I'm sayin? The Ginault dude made a mistake in the past, and I'm guessing he's just trying to move past it and make great watches now. I mean, I realize that no Omega employees were ever recently involved in an fake watch auction scandal.. Oh, wait a second... 🤣🤣🤣

I agree with you, I really could care less about their past. I own 2 of their ORII's and the build quality is almost as good as my 41m Submariner. It is the best watch you can buy for $1,200

@@driller7714 Strangely enough, I've employed the opposite strategy of not checking for Ginault emails at all hahaha! I basically attempt to pretend like I never ordered, or even ever heard of a Silent Service!!! So when the day comes when there's finally a shipping notification from Ginault in my email, I'll just be like "oh...THAT'S RIGHT!!!... I ordered a Silent Service all those weeks ago! How about that?!?!" And be super stoked for it to get to me in a few days hahaha 🤣🤣🤣
