    I have Jackall Poison Adrena. I think I got it in 2014 It is the best rod I have. Shimano must have bought them out. I got mine out of Japan before they were ever sold here in the U.S.

    • @OnAnotherLine

      They have always been a Shimano and Jackall joint venture as far as I know. If yours is the first edition PA from the JDM, the handle should pull off of the rod blank. I was told this allows for ease of putting it in a compact car. Check it out.

    I’m thrilled to see a review of these rods and I know they are gonna look BAazz, and I have 3 of them in a shopping cart online, just not sure how their action compares to a IMX Pro or GLX Loomis, and I haven’t been able to touch one in person, even the Expos haven’t had them in stock.

    • @OnAnotherLine
      @OnAnotherLine  4 года назад +2

      The poison rods are comparable to the IMX Pro and the GLX in craftsmanship and sensitivity. A couple of things you won’t get from the Poison rods are a hook keeper and a rod made in the USA. I have several of pretty much every shimano/G. Loomis series with the exception of the Conquest as I only own one of them. I was blown away at the sensitivity of these a poison rods! So much so that I find myself picking them up ALL the time. Looking for reasons I can pick it up and try another bait on them. Matching up a Metanium with ANY rod is a no brainer because it’s awesome! However, if I were to choose three rods to pair it with I would choose an NRX..then the poison series and last would be an Expride. All of this depends on the techniques you want to do with it.

      The MH has a moderate action as opposed to most rods in the line having a fast action. Between the two for what you want to do with it, I’d go with the M+. However, I find myself throwing Texas rigs on the 7’2” H a majority of the time now. Take that for what it’s worth because I like more backbone in all of my flipping and pitching rods. Have you tried the 6'11" medium + yet?

      Bassassin yes I own the two in this video and just picked up the 1611m+, but I haven’t got to use it much. I have it paired with PowerPro braid as a top water rod at the moment. I think it’ll be amazing at that.

    Just ordered a Expride spinning rod haven’t even seen these was thinking about getting a nrx for dragging baits. Everybody swears by the 893. How do these rods compare to the nrx?

    • @OnAnotherLine
      @OnAnotherLine  4 года назад +1

      I think the sensitivity is very close with both rods. I have an NRX 894c and I love it for flipping and pitching. There aren’t a bunch of options in the Poison line at this moment, but if they make more options available I will own them all. I love both series equally. One thing you have to take into consideration is that the NRX have an extra fast taper, so they have a little different feel than most rods. I find that going one action higher on the NRX than I would think usually makes me like the rod more. That’s why I got the 894

      The nrx 893 is the most special rod I have in my lineup of 8 combos. The 7’3mh Adrena is my go to chatter bait rod

      TL Bombsquad I have 2 NRX rods, 7ft 1 MH, and Heavy. You will be extremely impressed with an 893. The NRX line is the standard for comparison for a reason. Definitely worth the money!!!

      I guess we will have to agree to disagree then. I absolutely love mine. I have a conquest also, although they are in two different classes of rods, they both get used in my boat.
