    Well by the time this video was over I purchased one. I'm a helicopter mechanic and this is almost the perfect work knife for me! Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for the video. I agree, 2 flat heads? If they put a phillips on it, bam...sold.

    Just a thought from my decades with SAK Pioneer,,,, try the small flathead on Philips screws, the similar implement on SAK works on most.....

    8Cr13MoV is the steel I cut my sharpening teeth on. It was the "Super Steel" of the 80's & all we had growing up unless you wanted 440C. LoL

    I was just thinking I needed something like this for my son that isn't a Swiss Army knife.

    I'm seriously considering this knife. I LOVE the Tenacious. I've had it for about 3 years now I think, it's the one I find my self carrying everyday. It a large knife, but somehow it is way less obtrusive in the pocket than even my Kershaw Leek G-10 or Leatherman Skeletool.

    I just got one as a gift. Seems to be a pretty good knife for the money.

    Spyderco's heat for 8Cr13 is supposed to be one of the best. It is a decent steel option but I would be more concerned about corrosion, a very common problem with multi-tools from what I am seeing.
    I applaud the move of adding a pry solution to a knife. I see far to many bent and broken knife tips in the used knives I buy.

      I've had my Tenacious for about 3 years. I've done a light coat of oil on the blade twice (I don't think it needed it though). Doesn't even have a hint of tarnish, rust or corrosion. I carry it at least 5 days a week (sometimes 7). Granted I don't use it in a salty/salt water environment, but H1 steel is better suited for that anyway.

    Cool concept but for now ill be sticking with my pm2 and leatherman squirt combo. Really curious to see how far spyderco runs with this but for the first go it looks pretty solid!

    I love the idea, but I wish they went with better steel on the blade. If it was in s35vn or cpm 154, cts xhp, so on and so forth I'd be all over it. And I know that would put the price up quite a bit but I'm totally fine with that.

    Does the off center blade within the handle bother you? I find the torquing bugs me for heavy cutting with thick SAKs.

    • @SliceyDicey
      @SliceyDicey  6 лет назад

      It's not my favorite, but falls short of really "bugging" me.

    Great video! Really enjoyed it, Man! 🍺
    Kinda cool knife, but I’m not 100% certain this one is for me. I really enjoy carrying SAK’s or smaller traditional knifes through the workweek (definitely non-offensive in office environment).
    My usual weekend “beater” combo is Byrd Meadowlark 2 + Leatgerman Wingman.
    (Roughly same cost as the Clipitool, but far more tools, though takes up some more pocket real estate.)

    i would want to buy it more if it had vg10

    • @SliceyDicey
      @SliceyDicey  6 лет назад +1

      Given that Spyderco's 8CR is one of the best and their VG10 is one of the worst, they ain't that far apart other than corrosion resistance.

    Funny....I KNOW that I am in the minority...but I do not get all the excitement with Spyderco Knives??? I own one (PM2 Sprint Run...nice knife!)...it's cool...but I do not get the Spydie Fascination. LOL!
    ...but everyone can knock themselves out if it makes them smile 😀 !!!! :-)

    Bump the steel up to Chinese D2 , Change the small flat to a punch and this would be in my pocket for the weekend construction work. He who am I kidding I'm ordering one right after I post this.

  • @jimhebrank74
    @jimhebrank74 6 лет назад +1

    Bought it, wasn't impressed (too heavy and wide. Could have had more useful tools, like punch/ awl, or scissors instead of a can opener.) Gave it as a gift to someone who will use it way more than I ever would.

      Hopefully these take off and they start making them in Golden. There is a definite need for a modern American take on the Swiss Army knife.
