How to Fix Sticky Car/Truck Window Crank Properly!

- If your windows are feeling harder to crank up and down lately, it's probably time to clean and lubricate them! I've had to do this for most of my cars with roll up windows, and it only gets worse as time goes on. Today, I'll show you how to do it on a 1995 Mazda Mx5 Miata. The cleaning process should be the same for most vehicles.

Have you ever had to do this job before? If so, let me know how you did it and what products worked best for you!
I've had to do this a few times over the years. I found that the thick lube like you used collects dust and dirt and becomes gunky again quickly. I've been using thinner white lithium spray grease and that seems to do the trick. It's also easier to spray grease in the track without needing to take the whole assembly out. I also replaced my sliding bushings with the delrin ones from Moss Miata, they seem to work well.
@@BombavalusicaI’m on board with all of those things! I put the Delrin bushings in my last Miata. I’m not sure why I didn’t this time. And yeah, that white lithium grease should work just fine. Truth be told, I think I wanted a good excuse to go in there and clean everything since this car is newer to me haha.

and them rubber door seals........ I have not found anything yet that does not smear the edge of the glass... apart from sexy lube....... never tried that......:)

Thanks Neil! Speakers next, then some interior stuff, then I should probably do the brakes before I go through a wall at my next track day. The bmw has been off to the side collecting dust. I know how much you miss that car 😝

Wasn't mentioned , but I saw you do it, lubing the cable is a good idea. I've seen several get shredded, on my own car, and a couple in the club. Crazy how clean even the inside of your doors are. Didn't mention the black goo either, I bet that stuff sends you OCD into conniptions!😂
Oh yeah I lubed the cable up! Once I got into the black goo mess, I stayed far far away from my camera and anything else I care about lol that stuff drives me insane 🤪
