Hey thanks for posting this. I have a 2004, 4410 like yours except mine is the epower reverser - so almost identical. I live in central NH and in the super cold this exact thing happened to me. I was out there today freezing laying in the snow pounding on the same part and found I could free it (only to have it catch again- as you described) So I left the cold and came in to find this. Pleasantly surprised since I thought it was a unique problem on an old tractor. Thanks for taking the time to post this. When I get a warm day I plan to do the same thing you did to yours. I have a little more confidence after watching this - thanks again. Jim
Thank you and I’m glad it helped. My neighbor traded in the tractor I now own on a new one. The dealer hit him hard on the trade in because they told him the brakes needed replaced and at a HIGH cost, so I went over and bought it the same day for not much more than they gave him, as he told me what they gave him. A little Karma for that dealer I guess...😀
There’s a cotter pin on the backside of the bracket that holds the arm on. I take that off to make it easier to move and it gives it more movement. I’ve also hooked a tarp strap to that bracket to give it more pull to help release the brakes.

It's been a while now. Have you had to do any more work on your brakes or was this a one time fix? Dad's 4200 has sticking brakes.
Thank you for sharing your time my left side is not releasing I'm going to try and fix with what you said, thank you
Thanks. I have a 2003 4310 with the same problem.
So it did not want to move or what exactly?
