Have not resorted to installing any google workarounds until now. No gbox and no gspace etc. Have been doing fine without those. The only thing that I can't use because of it is google meets for some work meetings but other than that it has not impacted my day to day and I do my meetings on my office pc anyways. Your milage may vary of course but for most users in europe it's still fine and you can always put gbox if needed.

i have first foldable phone samsung many years ago and i use it daily for calling but screen is created me problems i give it to repair 2 times so foldable phone is bad because soon or later start to creating display problems after one year of open and close you will get this problems and this idea is outdated it was famous around 2003/04
As of July 2024, this is still the most recent foldable screen smartphone to have external storage card support. It might be Huawei's own proprietary NM card slot instead of the universal microSD card slot, but you can still have extra secondary storage on the phone itself for offline backup.

Watching this on my Huawei Mate 50 Pro without Google services. Not having Google spyware it's actually a good thing. And also a good thing for battery life and cheaper price is not having a 5G modem. 4G it's plenty for watching 4K videos. 5G would mean I have to spend a lot more on my network bills and drain the battery much quicker because 5G loses connection very often which means it would have to switch between antennas all the time. So 4G is cheaper to produce, cheaper for me to pay on phone bills, has better battery life, better coverage. 5G in Europe it's basically a scam or a useless feature at the very least for the next few years.
The OS Huawei uses seems more user friendly and capable, feature rich in daily usage, like how you can add apps to the swipe down menu and many others you've shown. I am not sure yet if you mean that the Harmony OS supports Android apk/apps natively, even though Google Play is absent. I can surely do without Google's awful software. For anyone that uses Windows devices this is second nature. I never miss anything Google when I'm on my Windows laptop or tablet.

It looks really nice, hardware-wise. But... with no Google services, no 5G, and then pricing it a whopping 50% more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Fold 4 (prices will be from eur 2200,- in the EU), this is going to be a very niche folding smartphone
I owned fold 5, I think X3 is better than Samsung Z fold 5, my palm got digging mark due to Z fold is heavier than X3. the samsung case make the screen wobble on the table while I using it. I had to take out the standing compartment to stop the wobble. X3 have fully round edge which will be more comfortable on hand.
I'm still using Huawei mate 20x I believe it's the last phone with Google services enabled. I struggle to see any competent phone in the market after this. 7.2 inch, non-foldable. I think my next move would be those fold devices, I'd prefer Huawei but without Google stuff it's hard, I will select Samsung galaxy z fold 5 maybe. Yet again the mate 20x is the best which there were mate 30x 40x 50x

I would definitely consider this, but without Google apps, 5G and the HIGH price tag i can only admire this from afar(and on RUclips). Right now im rocking a Fold 3 and a Google Pixel 6 Pro and i look forward to see what the Pixel Fold brings to the table. I just like the UI of the Pixel, the haptics and the camera so if they can bring that experience to the Pixel Fold I'm sold(even with the high price tag). I've also been looking at the Vivo X Fold 2, OPPO Find N2, and feel like the Fold 4 is an iterative upgrade so I probably wouldn't get that. We always talk about the gap between when the fold phones are folded, does it occur that the more the screen meets in the middle when folded, the more the crease will be visible on the screen, the curve between the screen in the samsung fold, puts little pressure on the screen when folded.

As a UK resident I hate the fact I'm unable to buy Huawei products because of the uk government ban. I'm a lifelong Huawei user and I find apple , samsung and even the Honor device I now use as a temporary wife far superior to Huawei. I hope they can find a way to make these products available to UK users in the near future so I can start using my favourite Huawei products again. 😢

I was able to side load Google but the phone in the USA since it's a 4G only it drops calls to 2G and it drops the calls, bad reception all around.
I would love to have an Androids one if not for the price. Hopefully it'll go down to 800usd.
