    Darker due to more oxygen exposure possibly. The original as a NEIPA is probably transferred in a closed system.

      @BrewBrosUK  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, quite possibly. It didn’t taste oxidised but then we drank it very fresh. We had a fully oxidised NEIPA brew recently and vowed only to use a closed system after that! But a small batch stovetop NEIPA is a challenge.

      It's all good fun to give it a go though and I'm sure it was still a decent brew.

    Great video.
    What’s the sanitiser you use to spray lids and stuff. Obviously a no rinse kind ?

    • @BrewBrosUK
      @BrewBrosUK  Год назад +3

      Yeah we always use no rinse sanitiser 👌

    Are you able to bottle it once it's done/ able to separate it in any way without losing the carbonation, or do you have to keep it in the keg?

    • @BrewBrosUK
      @BrewBrosUK  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi it needs to stay in the keg. The best thing is to follow the same process shown here but use bottles instead of the keg and divide the dextrose between them (half a teaspoon in 500ml bottle)

    Hi Guys, did you use the bucket due to dry hopping?? Cheers

    • @BrewBrosUK
      @BrewBrosUK  6 месяцев назад +2

      Partly but it’s better to ferment in a different vessel to the one you condition and serve in.

      @@BrewBrosUK ah ok, so would you recommend I ferment my classic IPA in my bucket then transfer to the mini keg??

    • @BrewBrosUK
      @BrewBrosUK  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@jonseyboi83 yeah definitely a good idea to get a fermentation bucket (or demi john) and siphon. A big improvement for low cost.

  • @jonseyboi83

    After the boil do you not put the liquid through straining bag into the bucket??

    • @BrewBrosUK
      @BrewBrosUK  Год назад

      No, partly because Hazy Jane is meant to be cloudy but more because it’s being fermented in the bucket then cold crashed and transferred into the keg for carbonation (so the sediment at the bottom can be avoided). We only strain through the bag if fermentation and carbonation are both happening in the keg.
