Hi Dani’i. We made it thru with minimal damage, trees down, awnings blown away, dock washed away and this at True Blue. Carriacou has been severely mashed, no news from petit Martinique. St Patrick’s went silent mid morning so we suspect a lot of damage there. Winds here are now southerly gusting to 35 knots. We had a few gusts of 50 knots. No water and no current for the island. 24 hour Curfew in place . I probably don’t have to tell you but your forecasts and analysis are really excellent. The big boys can’t even pronounce Grenada correctly and get confused between st Vincent and Grenada. Your Caribbean roots give you a great perception and understanding of the region. Thank you

Greetings Dani’i loved your interview yesterday with Pat, you did a great job with the interview yesterday. But I’ve been tracking hurricanes since 1979 during Hurricane David when I was 11 year old child, and I never witnessed a hurricane like Beryl in my lifetime. This isn’t supposed to happen, and I fear that my brothers and sisters in the Caribbean was caught off guard. Hopefully, Beryl will weaken before hitting Jamaica because I was in high school when Gilbert hit in 1988. Seems like you guys would get the northern quadrant of the hurricane which means a lot of on-shore winds and heavy rain. Not sure about storm surge, but if it stays on its current trajectory you guys may avoid that one. But it’s really tricky, because any jog north or south will determine what happens in Jamaica
For sure, this sort of cyclone hasnt ever occurred since reliable records began in the 1850s, its truly a spectacular storm, but it shows that we are in for a long, long season.

Yep! Somehow (I just did not want to say it), but I did unfortunately expect hurricane Beryl to increase into a category 5 hurricane 😬!!!
