  • The lost city of Atlantis as described by Manly Palmer Hall was a pinnacle of spiritual and material advancement, whose inhabitants, led by spiritually illumined Initiates, foresaw their continent's doom due to a departure from virtuous paths.
These Initiates, in a bid to preserve their sacred knowledge, fled to Egypt, establishing the foundation of its divine rulership.
Atlantis itself, described by Hall, was a continent rich in resources, technological advancement, and profound wisdom, ultimately succumbing to cataclysmic disasters that plunged it beneath the sea.
This narrative intertwines historical speculation with philosophical allegory, suggesting Atlantis's story as a cautionary tale of moral degradation leading to downfall, while also positioning it as a significant progenitor of ancient civilizations' knowledge and spiritual practices.

There are other references to Atlantis, researchers have found references to Atlantis in the works of Proclus, Theopompus, and several other Greek historians. In the Platonic version, Egyptian priests told Solon about a great island in the Atlantic that was destroyed nine thousand years earlier around 9600 BC. The civilization on the island was founded by the descendants of the god Poseidon and a beautiful woman called Cleito, the Atlantean civilization also ruled over several lesser islands in the region. The main island had a large hill where Cleito lived, the soil was very fertile, there were two streams of water; one was hot the other was cold. Poseidon was afraid to lose Cleito and decided to dig a series of circular canals around the hill to keep Cleito for himself. A sophisticated civilization sprung out of the main island, they tamed wild animals, mine metals, built temples, palaces, racecourses, gymnasiums, public baths, harbors, and bridges. Walls were coated with brass, tin and a red metal called orichalcum. The other nine lesser islands were ruled by other kings each with their own kingdoms, however, they were always subservient to the main island. Life in Atlantis was ideal, the citizens eventually became restless, decadent, and corrupt and started to chase novelty and power. In Proclus works, he says that three hundred years after Solon, the priest of Sais showed Crantor columns with the history of Atlantis in hieroglyphic characters. Theopompus of Chios repeated a similar story originally told by Midas of Phrygia, two hundred years before Plato about a portion of the world besides Europe, Asia, Libya or Africa which is unknown and of incredible immensity with blooming meadows and pastures which feeds various huge beasts, and where the men are twice the height, and live to twice the age of men. Thank you for the research and effort put behind the video, it takes me back to when my cousins and I gathered around Abuelito and Abuelita to listen to their stories.

Someone I met while camping in the Mojave referred me to a great book. MAN BEING VOLUME 1: THE TRANSMISSION. Unbelievable read. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a new Hermetic work. Authors are Dramos & Bohemias. Don’t know how this book isn’t more widely known.

I was taught in college and, with further study, that Plato only mentioned Atlantis in passing; not into a long diatribe about it.

Hypothesis: a supposition or proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation. Here is a suggestion, why not study the undersea cities in the Caribbean. Oh, that's right the US and pals are pretending that they don't exist, even when you can actually see some in the territorial waters of Cuba. The US is still trying to get rid of the people of Cuba. I'm not saying that they are Atlantis, just that they were very likely outposts. Here is a thing, the Tainos had cities that resemble some of the myths. Then there is the "Bermuda Triangle", with the storms and ships sinking, not that all have, and the US 100% knows about it. Yet they can't figure out how to deal with it. Heck even Columbus lost ships there. And there are the people that did not drown even if their ship was damaged and had to change course to pre-Castro Cuba for repairs. Not a secret where one of the points was located. Let just say that the US decided to invade there and has never left since 1898. Hint: same place that generates energy, still. Of course no one says anything about what happen to the survivors, who most likely spread around. Egypt is just one of the theories. Departure from virtuous paths, happens all over the planet, but they don't sink. Question is again what happen to the survivors, people claim to know all this stuff about Atlantis. How about the other very advanced Island in the other side of the planet? Number one question, what are people hiding and why. Manly P Hall, scary looking guy. Could have been a horror movie actor. Not to say he was faking it. He was after all a Freemason and a Rosicrucian. I'm Partial to the second. And to the Knights Templars that no one seems to mention. Not the British kind, those I... Anyway, enough said. Asides from repeating not every one sank in the Bermuda Triangle.

I don’t think Atlantis is a real place. It’s a metaphor for the civilization that existed before the ice melted.

I've come to a rather comparatively similar conclusion, as one must not mistakenly see past the Freemasonic trend of allegory and metaphor, while Atlantis certainly does not in its mysterious profundity receive exemption. Another example which may be of doctrical connectivity is the metaphorical idea of the beings of a "giant race" that reportedly dwelled within the realm of the preceding epoch; this giant race, however, perhaps metaphorically subsumes an inference to a particular degree of exaltation of which the ego-self was made manifest, relating to a specific ethnic group, and such a degree of greater heights than what originally is conventional, expressed in conscious function, that allowed fanciful ideations of the faculty of imagination to project onto the rational intellect, consequently distorting natural inclinations and the heart-centered conduct.
