Great video thanks so much for sharing. I’ve walked across the border from San Diego before and it was much less hassle. Then driving my last time driving across the border took me almost 7 hours to get back on the US side. Please keep the videos coming definitely going to hit up some taco spots when I go out there next weekend
Just saying the beaches have staph infection so do not swim 116 kidnappings and over 865 asults and 47 murders since Jan 2022 in Tijuana hope you look mexican and can speak it. This is not the 90's
@@DanVsWorld Because California has become a Ghetto so sure makes since. California people crap on the sidewalks in every city. Hollywood is a Ghetto, palm springs is 3rd highest per size for crime. Calif is a S-hole
Nice walk through of how to get into Mexico. The Tijuana tacos looks fire 🔥 wow that a long line of traffic and only $16 to park the car there, that’s awesome l. Great video bro. 💪🏽
The smell difference could have been low tide since you were getting closer to the ocean. Often stuff that washes up on the beach when the tide has gone out smells.
Those tacos looks super yummy. I'm heading down to Cabos in November, looking forward to eating some excellent tacos. You heading anywhere overseas Dan? Dubai would be a good place for you to do food videos tour.
I ordered 9 quesabirria tacos which were super fat and 2 drinks for under $9. Tacos de Arron. It’s a taco truck with a drive thru. Super cool. Love Tijuana.
DVW, I have only been to Mexico on a cruise. I would not mind going to San Diego and walking across like you guys did. I will need to get me a local contact before we do that though. Thanks for sharing!
You went after the Cartel war a couple weeks ago? How was the vibe? I usually go once a month but decided to skip a month since Jalisco Cartel said they werent dont yet. However its been a few weeks so maybe they are. I dont see military everywhere so maybe this is an edit from before all the drama too. Btw that beach seems fun but they had a shooting that killed someone there a week ago and 2 years ago when all those migrants were at the border that beach is where they set a few people on fire. Just be careful then again tourists for the most part are safe.
I arrived here literally the Same day of the burnings from Peru, I actually moved here, the day after it was like nothing happened. Don't believe all the news, yes people get murdered but those are between criminals and most of the people don't even know that it is happening. Is like not going to school because of the shootings
Tijuana resident here, bro I know the smell you’re talking about bro. I know you didn’t want to offend no body but the smell is fucking nasty la neta wey it’s not everywhere it’s just in highway to playas but still jajajajaja Btw great video new sub ❤
How was the safety in Tijuana Dan? It looks great in your VLOGs but I always felt it had a hard rep due to the Drugs trade and local cartel but that could simply be a throwback to years ago.
I know you asked Dan, but I used to go to Tijuana frequently until one day I got robbed by the police there. It isn't worth it. If you're really going for food and restaurants, beaches and things like that, all of that can be found in SD. Most people travel to TJ for the Hong Kong district in Zona Norte or to get cheap dental/medical procedures done. There isn't anything all that special about the rest of the city. If the goal is to visit Mexico, go anywhere else in the country. Yes playas, Zona Rio, and Rosarito are more calm and probably safer than downtown, but you have to pass through downtown and hence all of the prostitutes, dealers, pick pockets and con artists to get anywhere. Also when you do cross San Ysidro, and make it through security you will have the taxi drivers and homeless people aggressively begging you and following you. You will have children beggars run after you. The police force there are corrupt and love to rob tourist. Whether you walk, drive or are a passenger they will stop you and search you to get any cash you have out of your wallet, and there will be nothing you can do about it other than stop going, or don't go to begin with. Some taxi drivers are in pocket with the corrupt police force. If you do get in a taxi maker sure it's "taxi libre", even though some of them are in on it too. If you use rideshare, make sure the driver and the plate match. Some of the taco stands and vendors are a front for drug dealing, especially at night. Hell one time, I was offered drugs by the guys who take a picture of you with the zebra painted donkeys. Again it's not really worth going to. You probably won't be physically harmed unless you go around playing Mr. tough guy or making jokes about criminal organizations or wandering around alone at night, but you will be a target for theft. Unless you've been there a few times or are with someone who knows the area, you're gonna have to pull your phone out to look at your map which is something you cannot do there in the streets, because somebody will snatch it. I would not recommend driving there as the traffic is bad, everyone there is a road rager, if your plate is from the US, you'll make yourself that much more of a target for the theiving police, and US auto insurance is not valid there. Even if it were, the law means nothing there and if you do get into an accident, you're gonna get extorted. Go if you wish. I'm sure somebody will argue against what I've said, but I honestly do hope it helps you if you're considering traveling there.
@@buren7215 I've never been to Bakersfield, but after visiting TJ my debit card got hacked and some guy in bakersfield was trying to get money out of a bank there. Connections, perhaps? Anyway that reminds me of another point: In TJ, you're going to need cash and know the exchange rate. The last time I went it's roughly 20 mxn to 1 usd. Street vendors will take advantage of you if you aren't aware of the exchange rate, so always bust their balls and look up what the rate is and use your calculator. It isn't wise to be walking around with a lot of cash or in some cases any cash, so you'll have to use an atm. The atms there like giving out pesos and the max they'll let you get at a time is usually 5000 mxn which sounds like a lot but in usd it's roughly 250 dollars, which won't get you much. The atms that do dispense usd are gonna charge foreign exchange fees that are outrageous. On top of that, using an atm there puts you at risk of your card being compromised, unless it's inside of a bank (which will have a long ass line 9/10 times). Never use the atms anywhere in Zona Norte especially the indoor ones in the HK district. Never keep all of your cash in one place. Major chains like Oxxo, Soriana, WalMart etc are the only places that will accept card or debit. You can keep this in mind, but I think the easiest thing to do is consider a different destination.
When I lived in San Diego, I went to Tijunana,4-5 times, and didn't like it .I had been to other places in Mexico ,and they were nicer. From what I've seen in your video it looks and seems nicer.
