David's age can be medically verified so as the case is still under investigations, I trust that the Metropolitan police will do their due diligence to verify his true age. On the aspect of organ donation, recruiting someone from Nigeria to come and donate their kidney, whether he's a child or an adult is contrary to the process here. As someone in the system, I know there is a list for those requiring organ transplant and you cannot jump the queue regardless of whether you are rich or influencial. I don't know if they were planning to do it in a private hospital but the letter the senator sent to the British High Commission stated, Royal Free hospital which is a NHS facility. If the Senator or his wife or any of her siblings had volunteered to donate one of their kidneys, this won't have been an issue but to bring a stranger into the country for such purposes is simply criminal! In essence, whether David is 15, 21 or 25, the senator and his wife would still be found criminally liable.

You must bear in mind that the British Government have investigated this case for over a month before arresting the Ekweremadus and you must understand that, before a UK judge issues a warrant of arrest, the prosecutors must present a convincing evidence to the judge. I think we should wait and hear what will come out on July 07. When I also heard different versions of the story I said conclusively that the guy is lying, his stories are not consistent and realistic. If he's truly 15 years and he's not aware of organ harvest plan the shock of the reality alone should make a 15yr old to want to run back home to his family not trying seek for asylum not to come back to Nigeria. He, his wife or any of his children could have donated their kidney for the girl, but NO, they would rather buy the kidney. The girl is on transplant list but while waiting she will be on dialysis, so no immediate health risk for the girl. The boy is a product of Nigerian society, looking for quick money, I think he probably knows what he is going to do in the UK and also has his own agenda. He has nothing to lose but gain a new life by seeking asylum in the UK and the senator has everything to lose. Consider the possibility that he'd have been instructed to say at the visa interview that he's going for kidney donation by the person who contracted him, yes he could say that without meaning it literally. He must have been told that that's what he needs to say in order for the visa to be granted without complications and he played along without knowing that he was actually going to give his kidney. Then there's also the possibility that he saw a desperate situation and decided to take advantage of it. There are so many specifications that have to be met in order to be a donor in the first place. It cant just be a random person. They have to have the same blood type and everything. So why him? This story does have human trafficking vibes bc like Daniel said these people could have announced their need for help with finding a donor and many people would come forward for the chance to make a lottle money in exchange for their kidney. It just doesnt add up. This could possibly just be a case of the middle man being the only person to actually come up from the entire situation bc once they find the guy and make the deal without all parties involved knowing their part in the situation then they get to just walk away.

I feel this serves the senator right even though I feel so sorry for his daughter. But to be fair in all I have a strong feeling that David is lying. He knew what he was going to do but outsmarted them just to remain in the UK because according to the letter to the UK high commission it was just a one week visa. He had to play a smart one on them if they are not willing to let him stay back after the procedure. Because of course after the surgery he will have to return and the money given to him may not be able to cover for the challenges he may face with having just one kidney. Usually at the embassy before you are given a visa you would be asked tons of suspecious and even embarrassing questions. Your application would be checked by several people. It's a rigorous process really. So there is no way he would say he didn't know. The lying about his age is the most upsetting. Why lie about your age if you don't know the age of consent already. Nobody visits the British high commission for visa. You fill the form and submit through their agency and pick up from that agency too. That man claiming to be a boy had a relative in the UK who was coaching him on what to do when he gets there and the words to use if he wants to claim asylum and remain in the UK.
Sometime people like that won't get into the embassy, when I came to U.S at first I was never went to the embassy, people came to the house and take my passport photo and the finger print, after that I was only told to pack my beg that the driver will pick me up at home to the airport. People who have money have their ways of getting a visa without the passport owners being there. I was one of them, but my own was in a better way of traveling out of the country.

The man even had streaks of white hairs... But if they took his finger prints then they'll get him some day ..there are many cases like that & they'll make all kinds of claims & to implicate the rich people, he probably deliberately ran out to live as homeless, as he was instructed by his invincible handlers... There was another case of an innocent woman who helped her uncle or a close family member or friend to pick up an envelope he told her to please help him to hand over to his children in the UK ...she did not realise she was carrying fake UK visas on Nigerian passport or fake UK passport ... something like that... When the fraud was uncovered, & she was asked about it she confidently told them her uncle or so gave them to her so they called him He picked the call & denied knowing the woman & played naive...the woman who has known the man for years went into shock. She was locked up for a while as her church prayed. According to her testimony, she prayed to God in the cell to vindicate her & she refused to sleep on the cell bed but on the floor before God as a protest or as a way to call God fir mercy ...it was a tough case but she was eventually released ...she was never the same again. Nigeria? Even Nigerian children are not innocent, let alone teen-agers... something doesn't sit well with this young man who claimed to the authorities to be 15 years of age...why is it the age of 15 that they all claim? The authorities have records so they should do their job.... Let them send the young man back to Nigeria..... Because he is old enough to have declined the offer, if at all all that was it.... When David applied for a United Kingdom visa, he was said to be born in 2000. When David travelled to the UK with his passport, the passport stated that he was born in 2000, which puts his age at 21 years. He passed through the Nigerian Immigration and the UK Immigration with this age. However, when he got to the UK hospital, his age dropped to 15 years. Even if he was not told the purpose of his travelling, he cannot have non-emergency surgery in the UK without his consent, let alone kidney donation surgery. All he needed to do was to refuse the surgery. It appears that the "age drop" was a ploy to claim asylum in the UK, and not have to go back to Nigeria. The arrest of Senator and Mrs Ekweremadu was collateral damage.
At what point did he apply for his BVN? What document did he use to apply for his BVN? If he was below 18 years of Age, he would not get a Drivers License, neither would he get a voter's card and even the National ID card can only be given out if someone is 16 years of age and above and clearly he did not have an international passport as at then. What I think is that his real age was falsified upwards to enable him get an ID card to enable him submit same ID for his BVN. We need to see a copy of his identification.

You don't go through Visa interview for UK unlike the US where you are interviewed.For the UK you submit your documents through their accredited Agent that will also conduct biometrics for you.No interview for UK

I had to go through Visa interview before entering UK infact when I was about to switch Visa my UK interview was provided this is why I said the interview is always documented. Maybe it differs though but for me and all my friends we had to go through interviews

David could undergo all these tests without knowing what it's for...he wasn't clearly told what he was coming for and he wasn't the only person tested, they made him lie about a lot of things so as to get visa but the boy developed a cold feet after he discovered that after a week he gets back to Nigeria sick with poor family that can't find a donor if his life depends on it. David's age can be medically verified so as the case is still under investigations, I trust that the Metropolitan police will do their due diligence to verify his true age. On the aspect of organ donation, recruiting someone from Nigeria to come and donate their kidney, whether he's a child or an adult is contrary to the process here. As someone in the system, I know there is a list for those requiring organ transplant and you cannot jump the queue regardless of whether you are rich or influencial. I don't know if they were planning to do it in a private hospital but the letter the senator sent to the British High Commission stated, Royal Free hospital which is a NHS facility. If the Senator or his wife or any of her siblings had volunteered to donate one of their kidneys, this won't have been an issue but to bring a stranger into the country for such purposes is simply criminal! In essence, whether David is 15, 21 or 25, the senator and his wife would still be found criminally liable.
I think the issue must be about concert though cause it was written in the letter it’s purpose and I don’t think a well learned man like ekweremadu will blindly put himself at risk knowing uk doesn’t accept that. You must bear in mind that the British Government have investigated this case for over a month before arresting the Ekweremadus and you must understand that, before a UK judge issues a warrant of arrest, the prosecutors must present a convincing evidence to the judge. I think we should wait and hear what will come out on July 07. One other thing that baffles me about this case is, people closer to the Ekweremadus, said , when the boy was tested in the UK, it appears he was not a Match for his daughter. Now my question is, how come the boy was taken to the UK without first carrying out the necessary medical tests in Nigeria to determine if the boy was a Match before taking to the UK? This question has troubles me daily.

When I also heard different versions of the story I said conclusively that the guy is lying, his stories are not consistent and realistic. Consider the possibility that he'd have been instructed to say at the visa interview that he's going for kidney donation by the person who contracted him, yes he could say that without meaning it literally. He must have been told that that's what he needs to say in order for the visa to be granted without complications and he played along without knowing that he was actually going to give his kidney.
Then there's also the possibility that he saw a desperate situation and decided to take advantage of it.

There are so many specifications that have to be met in order to be a donor in the first place. It cant just be a random person. They have to have the same blood type and everything. So why him? This story does have human trafficking vibes bc like Daniel said these people could have announced their need for help with finding a donor and many people would come forward for the chance to make a lottle money in exchange for their kidney. It just doesnt add up. This could possibly just be a case of the middle man being the only person to actually come up from the entire situation bc once they find the guy and make the deal without all parties involved knowing their part in the situation then they get to just walk away.

I feel this serves the senator right even though I feel so sorry for his daughter. But to be fair in all I have a strong feeling that David is lying. He knew what he was going to do but outsmarted them just to remain in the UK because according to the letter to the UK high commission it was just a one week visa. He had to play a smart one on them if they are not willing to let him stay back after the procedure. Because of course after the surgery he will have to return and the money given to him may not be able to cover for the challenges he may face with having just one kidney. Nobody visits the British high commission for visa. You fill the form and submit through their agency and pick up from that agency too. That man claiming to be a boy had a relative in the UK who was coaching him on what to do when he gets there and the words to use if he wants to claim asylum and remain in the UK.

Sometime people like that won't get into the embassy, when I came to U.S at first I was never went to the embassy, people came to the house and take my passport photo and the finger print, after that I was only told to pack my beg that the driver will pick me up at home to the airport. People who have money have their ways of getting a visa without the passport owners being there. I was one of them, but my own was in a better way of traveling out of the country.

He does not even look 15 but well into his 20s.,.I remember watching UK Border Force program & in a series, a 30+ Nigerian claimed to be 15 (which is the age they often use, the age they were groomed to claim)... The man even had streaks of white hairs... Which baffled the officers but then, I've seen a 9 & a 10 year old with white hairs so ...but when he was placed in. foster home because of the age of 15 he claimed, he absconded before the authorities came next day or so to carry out age test on him...he disappeared into the system...they never found him. But if they took his finger prints then they'll get him some day ..there are many cases like that & they'll make all kinds of claims & to implicate the rich people, he probably deliberately ran out to live as homeless, as he was instructed by his invincible handlers...
There was another case of an innocent woman who helped her uncle or a close family member or friend to pick up an envelope he told her to please help him to hand over to his children in the UK ...she did not realise she was carrying fake UK visas on Nigerian passport or fake UK passport ... something like that...
When the fraud was uncovered, & she was asked about it she confidently told them her uncle or so gave them to her so they called him He picked the call & denied knowing the woman & played naive...the woman who has known the man for years went into shock. She was locked up for a while as her church prayed. According to her testimony, she prayed to God in the cell to vindicate her & she refused to sleep on the cell bed but on the floor before God as a protest or as a way to call God fir mercy ...it was a tough case but she was eventually released ...she was never the same again.

When David travelled to the UK with his passport, the passport stated that he was born in 2000, which puts his age at 21 years. He passed through the Nigerian Immigration and the UK Immigration with this age.
However, when he got to the UK hospital, his age dropped to 15 years.
Even if he was not told the purpose of his travelling, he cannot have non-emergency surgery in the UK without his consent, let alone kidney donation surgery.
All he needed to do was to refuse the surgery. It appears that the "age drop" was a ploy to claim asylum in the UK, and not have to go back to Nigeria. The arrest of Senator and Mrs Ekweremadu was collateral damage.

If he was below 18 years of Age, he would not get a Drivers License, neither would he get a voter's card and even the National ID card can only be given out if someone is 16 years of age and above and clearly he did not have an international passport as at then. What I think is that his real age was falsified upwards to enable him get an ID card to enable him submit same ID for his BVN. We need to see a copy of his identification.

Seems He was aware of why he is travelling to UK & once he get their he made sure in UK HE REVEALED HIS INNER PLAN HE CHANGE HIS MIND because he think once he get to the hospital he knows where ever u r this world a surgeon dr don't take operation without telling or asking u what he gona do .Without your concent and your signature doctors dont do operation.So he made himself that he doesnt know nothing why he is in hospital .OTHER ISSUES IF U R OVER 18+ NO NEED OF PARENT OR CUSTODIAN TO ACCOMPAGN U AT EMBASSY DURING INTERVIEW THERE IS NO SINGLE KIND OF VISAS WITHOUT INTERROGATION AND INTERVIEW .HE KNEW WHY HE TRAVELLING TO UK .HE CHANGE HIS MIND ONCE HE ARRIVED .IF THERE IS DOCUMENT & HE IS OVER 18 HE IS THE ONE LYING.JUST HE WANT TO ESCAPE POVERTY N CHANGE HIS LIFE.SO IF INVESTIGATION TOOK PLACE ALL FROM NIGERIA UK EMBASSY TO UK PROCCES WILL BE INVETIGATED .& IF ALL DOCUMENT ARE ORIGINAL & TRUE HE COULD BE JAILED OR FULLFIL THE AGREEMENT BY LAW
You don't go through Visa interview for UK unlike the US where you are interviewed.For the UK you submit your documents through their accredited Agent that will also conduct biometrics for you.No interview for UK
You go through Visa interview for UK and the interview is documented

I had to go through Visa interview before entering UK infact when I was about to switch Visa my UK interview was provided this is why I said the interview is always documented. Maybe it differs though but for me and all my friends we had to go through interviews
How many years ago?.Not less than 8 years ago they have not been scheduling Visa interviews . Incidentally my children and my cousin went for their biometrics today.Thanks

David could undergo all these tests without knowing what it's for...he wasn't clearly told what he was coming for and he wasn't the only person tested, they made him lie about a lot of things so as to get visa but the boy developed a cold feet after he discovered that after a week he gets back to Nigeria sick with poor family that can't find a donor if his life depends on it.
The senator should have taking the boy as one of his before and after the operation, with that the boy would have remained with them for a long time and as well recieved good medical treatment...
The one week was the last straw that broke the camel's back.
This was EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS. how selfish is it for a senator. A boy is willing to donate a kidney to your daughter, even if you are paying him but if the senator have sense he should have decided to take that boy as his own forever, so that in that way the boy will not be afraid for his tomorrow if maybe his health fails or something. But to be returning back in 1week that is a JOKE and the sentor most be out of HIS SELFISH MIND. NONSENSE
Senator wasn't thinking right, i guess. How about follow up medical check up for the guy donating? How about frequent follow up visit to doctor just to ensure the guy stays in good health too??? Oh is only his daughter that he is concerned about abi? Now see where his selfishness has landed him.
