Dude, THANK YOU for showing that close up of the ram clearance with an AIO installed at the top of the case. I've watched so many reviews of this case and you're the only one who showed it up close and in detail.
This was THE case I was looking for. 4090 and 13900k work and look amazing in this. Temps are great. And it's a looker. EDIT: Thanks to the "overbuilt cooler' for the 4090, there's no temp issues, so I ditched my bulkier, higher airflow Phanteks p500a for the black and white Hyte Y40. Never going back! My favorite case ever.
great review. i was about to buy this. ur info on the limitations (aio length, ram, gpu, etc) is really helpful. other reviews are just hyping the "showcase" feature of this case. thanks a lot
Great Video! I love the attention to detail and the thorough analysis of the pros and cons. The best part is your enthusiasm and straightforward delivery! Subscribed!
For anybody who's still looking at this case. I just picked up the red variant for $115 on Newegg. It's my Christmas present to myself. I'll be recasing my two-year-old gaming rig into it. 12600 CPU and the same GPU that's in the video.
Would love to see a "pro" version of this with a single bent glass panel, at least 2 3.5" drive bays and some improvements to bottom airflow. Still, would bang.
Great review! I love how you explained the dimension and limitation of the case instead of focus on the aesthetic. Subscribed for sure! For the AIO. Do you think Valkyrie E360 (397*120*27MM) fit with a rear fan Lian Li infinity 120? E360 is slightly longer (3mm) than a NZXT Z73
Whats the best case like this for you. I like the nomal atx size because the others with the psu enclosure by side looks sooo big.... I prefer the standar atx type... but... I think they have some problems with the heat. Then, for you whats the best? Remember, we can use only one. I have a 7800 x3d with regular atx mobo, and a 4070 super. And a second question, for you whats the best aio cooler? By the way.... You review is super excellent. That the good way of reviews...
When Fractal Design released the North, I was hoping the new trend of PC case in 2023 will be less glass and less RGB. Unfortunately in CES there are mostly oversized "fish tanks".
@@ElevatedSystems "Available" is debatable in relation to the North lmao - where I am anyway. Would have to buy one From another country with massive mark up, if they ship at all... I'm buying one as soon as there's one for a non-disgusting price. Your videos are very informative and nicely done btw, thanks a bunch
If you want to vertically mount a gpu without having to pay 70-100 for a decent pcie 4.0 riser, then this is the one to go with. A good number of cards cool better vertically mounted than horizontally.
not here to try correct you but I'm almost certain most gpus cool better horizontally considering mounting it vertically restricts airflow to the gpu considering the fans are facing a glass panel and not facing the fans at the bottom of your case correct me if I'm wrong please
depends on your CPU, 240mm is actually enough for most CPUs I wouldnt be too concerned about cooling, having no issues with high temps with a ProArt 4080 Super which probably has one of the highest temps of any 4080 Super due to it being way smaller. It sits around 60-65 degrees in this case.
@ sweet. I’m looking for something for an upgrade on my old rig (R5 2600 and RX 580 8GB, it’s a relic at this point). I decided on the R7 5700 X3D and an RX 6800. I went with the PowerColor Fighter, which is I’ve heard has decent cooling performance. I’m hoping temps aren’t too crazy. From what I’ve heard, it seems like they won’t be. I loveee the look of the case though. I’m so excited to build it
@@nathancroud3730 They are totally fine. Sure there are definetly better cases, but we mostly talk about 2-3 degrees difference, that doesnt matter the slightest As I said, I probably have the worst 4080 Super in terms of cooling and my temps are fine.
Thank you for the video. I have one question tho (but i think i already know the answer to it): Did you put the LS720 all the way to the front? Because i just got the Y40 in white and wanted to buy the LS720 in white since i think it would match it perfectly.... now if it is to big to fit a rear fan i would have to look for another white AiO that fits... Thank you very much! :)
Thanks so much for the video! A little help would be appreciated. I currently have the corsair 465x . I love how it looks but space is tight. I brought a palit gamerock 3080ti gamerock and wanted to mount vertically but it's so close to the glass in my current case that overheating would be a massive issue as the vertical mount slots are right at the front. I can use a mount on the horizontal slots because the height of the gpu will not clear my ram (team nighthawk) llonger than usual cause of the shape . I really like the look of this. The y60 is out of budget. And I know the video said 3 slot 80mm (my gpu is 2.7 slot 60mm) but realistically would this run smoothly enough without substantial temp spikes in this . I don't want to encounter the same issue and waste money. And I've never built a pc before so even learning to transfer into a new case will be a challenge I don't wanna have to do it twice lol
@@aer0sense ultimately ended up with the H5 Flow from NZXT. The Y40 is taking too long to arrive at my country. The H5 is a good case but damn the corsair dominator still conflicts a little on the 240 aio at the top. Might decide to ditch the corsair dominator and get a different ram.
Thanks for this, i want to buy m2 mac mini, help me to choose configuration please. I will be learning software development - coding, photo/video editing and some after effects on 1080p only. Damn, those tempered panels are too tinted and too dark. You can't see any components behind it unless you use all those gypsy RGB lights .. Imagine someone using the non rgb components or want to do all black components .. He wouldn't see anything
I haven’t enjoyed a review this much in a while. Super detailed with critical feedback but largely positive tone. Subscribed!

Great review, no nonsense with all the info I was looking for, as well as being very fair and unbiased. Bravo sir.
Thank you for actually measuring it cause the measurement between companies are needlessly complicated
Just finished building my new rig in this case and loved it! Your review was an inspiration. Thanks so much!😊
What a great review! You made me purchase one just now.

Was there CPU temps with the aio installed? Sweet review
The Montech with its included fans makes for a very strong competitive case especially with its price and equal variety of colour options!

1:02 is that a gap ?
Yes, I explained that later in the video. without the gap the two pieces of glass would risk shattering when they impact while closing the side panel.
What was the cpu temp with the 360 aio in your testing? I"m confused why it's not listed in the graph.

2cm should be enough clearance for cooling as long as you have the side intake fans installed.
I’d rather they didn’t include the two fans which are garbage and need replacing anyway but the case looks very good
What fans are those on the side?
:)
they're just a couple of Aigo RGB fans I grabbed out of my bin of random case fans.
O thx
I think this case would be better if they put a hard drive tray where the bottom fan is.
At the price, they can't be bothered to include passthrough grommets?
I think that was a purposeful, allowing the design of the right panel to show through. But otherwise I agree.
Same thing I thought, which is why I’m not buying it. Happy with the y60 though.
