God damn man I love the sound design of this movie. The T-800 is so agressive looking compared to the T-1 and genisys terminators. It actually looks like it’s designed to kill people
I didn't think about it until now, but this scene is a direct reference to the final scene in Terminator where Kyle and Sarah are in the plant, trapped with the T-800, and the T-800 is just it's endoskeleton, and it's more frightening than ever before. It's the same scenario, except now it's John protecting his father from the same threat. Not sure if that makes sense.
The reason they dropped Connor so much is because of the audience's detachment. At this point, John Connor has been played by a different actor in every film he's in and it affects the audience's ability to attach to the character. They did what had to be done.
Also, I thought Reese said in T1 that "All the records were lost in the war, Skype knew nothing of John's past." But yet, Skynet knows Klye Reese, a nobody in the world, is #1 on its hit list bec6it knows killing Kyle kills John.
First time I saw the T-800 let itself lower to the molten pit of lava by Sarah Connor I cried for the entire day, even rewatching it today I still cry like a baby like goddamn man!
I just love how the T-800s armor is so hard to penetrate. So far we haven't seen anything put a hole into it. The most they've ever done is dismember it or tear it's head off. That and how relentless it is makes it still the most terrifying Terminator in the series. In T1, it didn't give up chasing Reese and Sarah until it actually lost them unlike the T-1000 which still had them in sight but stopped chasing cause they were a fair distance down the road
The moment t-800 slows down as melted metal cools down is beyond terrifying. I could call it the biggest nightmare. Probably would die from fear.. I’d be like, ok you win, kill me but make it fast.
I like it, but it doesn't make much sense considering these models are supposed to be the eventual infiltrators and are whirring and grinding (which you'd hear even under all the flesh and tissue)
Niko Bellic It IS the best Wether you like it or not, it IS better than the crappy T3 and Genisys. Salvation wasn’t that bad Why? It goes back to the R rated route (Unlike T3,4 and 5) It has Linda back as Sarah (Unlike T5) It isn’t a F*cking comedy (Unlike T3 and Genisys) It acknowledges that Sarah and John stoped Judgement Day (Unlike T3) It is a DIRECT sequel to T2 AND it has a good villain (Unlike T5) It isn’t the best in the franchise, but it IS better than T3,4 and 5 END OF STORY!
The prime Master03 That was the only thing that I didn’t particularly like about the movie. But at least they acknowledged that Sarah and John stoped Judgement Day. Unlike T3. And they had Lina back as Sarah. Unlike Genisys. And it is rated R. Just like T1 and T2. And it isn’t a f*cking comedy. Like T3 and Genisys. AND it had an actual good villain. Unlike Genisys. So it isn’t the best in the franchise. But it has more good things going for it than the previous 3. Though I will admit, Salvation was pretty good
Could you imagine a terminator wanting to save you and another wanting to kill you. But in the process the one that saved you becomes your friend and gives what’s left of his life to you. That’s an insane story and that’s why I love terminator salvation.
When I first watched this when it came out I was sooo stunned the second he got stabbed I didn’t expect that... great film I grew up on terminator 3 so when he was replaced with bale I was a little disappointed but my expectations got the best of me! Great cast.
Love how this showed the origin of how John got the scar. The scar has been a consistent attribute of future John in T2, Genesis and even the OG Terminator Game "Dawn of FATE"
I loved this movie. I don't know why it got panned. There's a great depth throughout. Sure some parts have crappy storytelling, and the dialogue could have been better. But overall I like this movie
i know that most fans feel like they have a moral obligation to hate all the terminator films after judgment day but this film was actually pretty good
I don’t think salvation gets the recognition it deserves. The film is far better than genysis and dark fate. We need another film like this in the franchise.
Yeap, in hindsight Salvation wasnt all that bad compared to those 2 movies that came after.... In fact now I really wish those 2 planned sequels they had for Salvation would have happened, cause then we could have atleast seen more of the future war. I mean heck, this even showed how John got the scars he had in T2 future war segment/intro scene...so in defense of Salvation, it really tried to move franchise forward atleast and how us how things went on after Judgement day and close the circle so to speak. Ofc I know some Terminator fans never liked the idea that Judgement Day could not be prevented and thus dont accept any Terminator movies after T2, but personally I was open to the idea that some events could simply not be prevented, only altered. And lets be real here, most Terminator fans would have atleast wanted to see more of the future war.
The CQC in this scene was pretty great. Quick and to the point. Loved bow Marcus didn't skip a beat as soon as he got revived. Saw the jarring new reality, laid John down, snapped the bar, jammed it in the Term barely looking, and decapped it, all in 1 smooth motion. Really sold the Marcus char is far more than human or machine.
The original script had John Connor killed after the battle with the T800 and then had Marcus Wright being transplanted his face. After his terminator protocols kicked in and he killed his lieutenants and his wife with the movie ending there on a cliffhanger without the viewer knowing if the machines just won, or if Marcus wearing Connor's face would keep his legend alive

If there was something ahead of it's time in this film, then it's probably the idea that upcoming Terminator sequels will suck more and more balls.
The truth is the rushed this film ahead of its time .. if they would have took time on it it could have been great .. this what happens when you put a howard in a movie like if you agree or disagree 😏
@@smhsadley what do you think if it was released today?

why does the terminator here look so real vs the shitty CGI terminators we got in Geneshyts
Because this film use actual puppet and practical effect to film it
@@comsuondaihiep9699 ye just goes showing that CGI can never replace the real thing
Although for example LOTR trilogy was perfect example how CGI is done and used right ans its actually funny/sad how Hobbit trilogy was the opposite..
@@comsuondaihiep9699 Actually most of the shots in this scene use the CG version. Mainly the difference is due to art direction and time/budged restrictions.
There was CG in the film obviously but it was done well, some of the time it was mixed together with practical effects, some of the time it was just practical.

First a melted metal shower than that liquid Nitrogen and STILL movin'??? This T-800 was made out of adamantium or what? Did they not see the end of the Alien3? That is how physics works.
Zoltán Perei the t-800 are made of coltan that can take temperature of 3000 degrees Celsius. Possibly why it was able to take the hot molten metal.
@CIA T1000? That was a prototype. T850 was also not the best idea, since it was nuclear powered.

This was literally one of the best..... definitely top 3, and yet dark fate was rated soooo much better?🤨
This movie should have focused more on john Conor and not Marcus or Kyle Reese but anyway cool movie
I think John Conner should be treated like Darkseid of the Terminator. Not overly exposed to where we become desensitized. Keep the wonders of mystery
@@richardbarrett4488 nice idea
The reason they dropped Connor so much is because of the audience's detachment. At this point, John Connor has been played by a different actor in every film he's in and it affects the audience's ability to attach to the character. They did what had to be done.
Also, I thought Reese said in T1 that "All the records were lost in the war, Skype knew nothing of John's past." But yet, Skynet knows Klye Reese, a nobody in the world, is #1 on its hit list bec6it knows killing Kyle kills John.
1:33 the only part where he does a Batman voice 👍👍
1:10 t-800 from T2 coming back after some people said Carl's death was sadder.
Yes
First time I saw the T-800 let itself lower to the molten pit of lava by Sarah Connor I cried for the entire day, even rewatching it today I still cry like a baby like goddamn man!
Fun fact: The T-RIP was the first Endoskeleton to use its voice modulator to mimic someone’s voice

God, the sound design in this film is so good. The Terminators all sound so dangerous and intimidating.
I like it, but it doesn't make much sense considering these models are supposed to be the eventual infiltrators and are whirring and grinding (which you'd hear even under all the flesh and tissue)
Still the only watchable post T2 terminator film.
Dark Fate is the best since T2
Niko Bellic It IS the best
Wether you like it or not, it IS better than the crappy
T3 and Genisys.
Salvation wasn’t that bad
Why?
It goes back to the R rated route
(Unlike T3,4 and 5)
It has Linda back as Sarah
(Unlike T5)
It isn’t a F*cking comedy
(Unlike T3 and Genisys)
It acknowledges that Sarah and John stoped Judgement Day
(Unlike T3)
It is a DIRECT sequel to T2
AND it has a good villain
(Unlike T5)
It isn’t the best in the franchise, but it IS better than T3,4 and 5
END OF STORY!
Niko Bellic How am I the troll? You’re the one being negative of this movie.
Which by the way, IS the best since T2
Niko Bellic T3 was shit
The prime Master03 That was the only thing that I didn’t particularly like about the movie.
But at least they acknowledged that Sarah and John stoped Judgement Day.
Unlike T3.
And they had Lina back as Sarah.
Unlike Genisys.
And it is rated R.
Just like T1 and T2.
And it isn’t a f*cking comedy.
Like T3 and Genisys.
AND it had an actual good villain.
Unlike Genisys.
So it isn’t the best in the franchise. But it has more good things going for it than the previous 3.
Though I will admit, Salvation was pretty good
I love that you can see a little bit of skin left on the T-800
One of the most under rated movies of Hollywood.. I just loved it
This is terrifying and it's great
I loved this movie. I don't know why it got panned. There's a great depth throughout. Sure some parts have crappy storytelling, and the dialogue could have been better. But overall I like this movie

When uncle bob realizes that there's one more terminator like him coming from future to assassinate John Connor

I would say this movie is more a prequel to The Terminator than a sequel to Terminator 3, who agrees??
The whole factory setting for this final fight is a complete call-back to the ending of Terminator 1 and 2. Pretty nice.
This movie has the best T800 CGI out of all

While this movie does get a lot of stick it did a great job of making the T-800 a threatening foe again.
Better than Terminator dark fate
No!
I disagree in my opinion
Not saying much.
Definite
1:36 : "You wanna know how I got these scars?" 😉😁
takes that much effort just killing 1 terminator, imagine multiple.
It’s kind of funny how they just go ahead and unload their clip on the terminator knowing that it will have no affect at all.
Better to try and slow it down than just die, right?
0:25 that feels when Skynet has access to Elevenlabs API
Like when he gets up after lava falls on him is what we call a reaper!
Perfect
And the Oscar goes to T-800 !
Dark Fate ripped off this scene where Sarah is yelling at Carl to get up, back in the game. Same here where John is trying to get Marcus back up lol
They copied every damn terminator movies in DF....
This movie is aging like a fine wine and I love it.
I feel like you can watch Salvation as a prequel to the first Terminator
