I’d say KD since he’s 4 years younger and he needs at least a couple more rings (with FMVPs) to move into the pantheon of greats and be a surefire top 10 player all time and be the 2nd greatest SF (ahead of Bird)
@thelegendsqb1 - totally agree with you. No matter how great KD is, his rings don't stack up to others in the top 10 because that GS team was too OP. But just based on raw talent and what he did with Brooklyn this season and last playoffs puts him in conversation. But you're right... he needs the extra jewelry and adversity to solidify his place in that top tier.
KD is already top ten he needs about 2 more rings to move to the top 5 which he would have if it weren’t for injuries in 2019 and last season vs the bucks
Lebron won Disney joke ring. No fans, no road games, no other teams wanting to be there except for Lakers. And he wasn’t even the best Laker in the bubble. It was AD.
If we're being honest the player with the more pressure would be Kevin Durant because people want him to prove he can win a championship without the Warriors. LeBron already proved everyone and the media wrong with winning in LA.
Without Warriors okay, he went to the finals at age 23, carried a young OKC team with the worst spacing in NBA history averaged 30 points on 65% TS. He left for a reason that’s on his team not him. Now in Brooklyn everything is getting interrupted by injuries. KD doesn’t have anything to prove, he’s already one of the GREATEST scorers of all time.

Anyone with a competitive nature wouldn’t do what kd did, he has no shame and no drive. Lebron joined a heat team with just Wade and didn’t they go out in the first round before lebron came. KD created this situation himself. He left GSW to have his own legacy outside of GSW. I love how the whole world doesn’t expect much from Kevin Durant , but they always demand for Lebron James , even when he was just 18, that shows LeBron is a better and a greater one
It's the media that demands more bec Lebron plays that game as he's a MEDIA PUPPET BOY hence that's WHY he gets so much heat and hate as he making constant outbursts and manipulations through the media to teams, GMs and teammates.
Athletes love downplaying competition by stacking the deck. Then say winning a championship doesn’t define their career when they come up short. Why stack the deck then?
The deck will always be stacked. Either by athletes or by team management. Any athlete that says winning championships doesn't define their career have not won a championship.
Lmao coaches getting fired and players getting traded for a ring that doesn’t count. That logic doesn’t make any sense. If the ring doesn’t count why are owners and GMs making these moves?
LeBron had more talent on his roster then everyone else in the league when he wins that's a question mark last I checked LeBron couldn't win no championship when the talent was even up
We all know SAS called the producer and told him to never invite JJ after this. This got to be my favorties episode of First Take, this the realest it has ever been.

Definitely Kevin Durant. LeBron already validated his move to LA by winning a title in 2020. KD needs to do the same in Brooklyn or he left Golden State for nothing.
Oh, you mean 'that Mickey Mouse Bubble title that they were virtually gifted because the true GOAT of LA died that same year'? Rest assurred that little tidbit will come back up if the Lakeshow doesn't win another title before Bron leaves... Sure, KD could've stayed. He's already vilified, so the fact of 'not belonging' shouldn't have mattered to his overall success. He already knows his narrative will follow him regardless of what he did. @@HomoErectus311 Considering they haven't been healthy since they have all been together it is hard for me to think they will be. Every year it is something with the Nets.
Well Stephen A and most fans are more into the storylines and narratives than the actual basketball. Winning a championship doesn't make a player greater, because it takes a team and the right circumstances to win.. That's why Durant played amazing last playoffs and still lost, that's why LeBron was the best player in the league for 10+ years and only got 4 championships
@@letstalkbasketball727 I personally think 2018 LeBron was the best player in the league. But Durant in the playoffs this past season was worthy of the best player in the world title for sure.. Either way the point remains.. Winning a championship doesn't make one player better than the other.
For me it all depends on context. If we are talking about legacy both players are in different stratospheres. Lebron’s legacy is GOAT level. But if he wants to truly solidify a spot above MICHAEL JORDAN he needs at least one more ring maybe even 2-3 for some people. KD NEEDS a ring outside of GS. People don’t view his rings as legit. He made arguably the weakest move any athlete has ever made in any sport. He is an undeniable talent and most still have him as a top 20-top 15 player all time. But if he wants to break into maybe the top 10 he needs a ring outside of GS probably needs another 2.
People are forgetting that KD went to the NBA finals, with Russell Westbrook on his team.. If Russ was not there, KD would have won.. Ain’t nobody talking about, let’s see Russell Westbrook get back to a final.. only time he went there, was because of KD shooting.
“If Russ was not there, kd would have won” that’s BS Russ had many games better than kd from 2011-2016 in the playoffs saying that just shows that current Russ is making y’all forget his impact on the thunder teams. Dre was just uncomfortable with the attention Max gave to him on such a platform...and sometimes people made fun of Max using the Iggy gif meme, which obviously Dre would prefer not to go there. But Max well he's been proven quite so accurate about Dre as a clutch player in his own right.

This segment epitomizes the problem with ESPN bruh...
when SAS said "there's so much to teach" it reminded me that he puts on a clown suit for this show.
Thank you JJ finally a emotional stable human being on tv
He’s not the first
Anything LeBron does would be extra credit. I never believed he had a chance of catching the goat status but his status as an all-time great and a top five player has been solidified since 2016
Exactly lmao
He’s def top 2 lmfao top 5 ridiculous

The thumbnail with SAS is exactly how viewers feel about this topic and topics about LeBron's legacy. 🤣🤣👀
Speak for yourself.
I always find SAS takes unbearable and sometimes make me not wanna watch it but having JJ here is a really fresh take and he really checks SAS.
RJ and JJ are two diamonds ESPN added.
Lebron in year 19 and they still talking about pressure
So the obvious answer is KD
anyone notice how red JJ's face got when SAS went all SAS on him?
I’d say KD since he’s 4 years younger and he needs at least a couple more rings (with FMVPs) to move into the pantheon of greats and be a surefire top 10 player all time and be the 2nd greatest SF (ahead of Bird)
@@Ali-fo4uv even 1 more ring and a fmvp he's debatably top 5. Only Lebron and MJ would have more FMVP's
@@02buddha02 you couldn't agree more, skill wise KD is top 5, but career wise for sure top 10-15 and would move up if another fmvp without Steph
KD is already top ten he needs about 2 more rings to move to the top 5 which he would have if it weren’t for injuries in 2019 and last season vs the bucks
@@letstalkbasketball727 don't think KD is above Kobe, and usually Kobe is not top 10(top 7 to me)
JJ is a real one. He speaks truth.
JJ is great on First Take. Keeps it simple and logical.
Yeah I agree with JJ by saying NEITHER
Lebron has won with the lakers already. KD is the one who assembled the avengers. He couldn’t win without the warriors. He still has to prove that
Lebron won Disney joke ring. No fans, no road games, no other teams wanting to be there except for Lakers. And he wasn’t even the best Laker in the bubble. It was AD.
@@MrGenexxx dont tell the true to the fanboys bro... remember olympics game when every bron fan wants kd to lose
That's the bubble LeBron been 1st round exits missing the playoffs and everything else in La
Lakers won while everyone else lost but the winners are getting clowned more than the losers. Funny how that works.
@@MrGenexxx Funny because I remember Lebron won Finals MVP. Am I correct?
I had to pause the video just to scream "OMG! THANK YOU, JJ" 👏🏾👏🏾
Nobody cares what “people” want. Among his peers, KD is NBA royalty. He has nothing to prove
@@anthonyhands5690 Exactly
@@plybc he hadn’t proved that he can lead a team to win it all. He couldn’t finish the job up 3-1. I don’t want to hear about spacing when you were up 3-1 against the greatest team in NBA history and choked. It’s not the fact that KD left the thunder, it’s the fact that he went to the team that beat him and the team that beat him had an unanimous MVP and was on its way to become a dynasty. KD ruined the NBA for years when he went to the warriors. He might be the greatest scorer ever but to me, his rings mean nothing. Anyone with a competitive nature wouldn’t do what kd did, he has no shame and no drive. Lebron joined a heat team with just Wade and didn’t they go out in the first round before lebron came. Bosh came after lebron came and so I don’t to hear any comparisons between KD and lebron move either. KD has to prove that he can lead a team to a championship and period.
@@javonniblevins8141 that’s how I view it as well. Kd joined the team that has the greatest record and joined them. Imagine bron joining the best team ever made. His rings would mean less. But he beat the greatest team in 2016 but then they added KD. 🤔
JJs smile after his take, while SAS is rolling his eyes
JJ is speaking facts. The media is definitely creating the narrative in this situation.
KD created this situation himself. He left GSW to have his own legacy outside of GSW. GSW made moves to keep him, but he still decided to go, joined with KD, blew up their role players to get Harden, add aging All-Star vets to win one without GSW..... We should be talking of a possible GSW vs Nets finals but we arent even close to that.
SAS be talking like he is lecturing a bunch of students in a classroom
Love JJ and I agree with JJ aswell. Neither have anything left to gain, yes both teams were made to be championship contenders, but are falling through due to injury and precedent on the Nets front and Injury, westbrick and team chemistry on the Lakers. Nobody has any expectations of the Lakers now cause they're inconsistent and Nets have so many injuries + Irving being himself that nobody has large expectations for them either.
You do know that the nets are still a top 5 favorite even with health issues right?
Nothing to gain? Seriously?
@@zingisamahlasela seriously, nobody expects them to win a championship. If the Nets are fully healthy, different story.
@@stefancarter5014 Top 5 is nice but do you think that's enough to get the chip? Suns and Bucks will be taking that if they don't get their health sorted.
@@seanclaxton2627 never said they was winning the chip or beating bucks I just proved a point that the nets are a high expectation team cause a lot of people still are picking them when he said nobody was expecting nothing from the nets
JJ SHINES THE LIGHT ON THE RIDICULOUSNESS OF SAS AND I LOVE IT
Big FACTS... SAS IS A JOKE THESE DAYS..
I loved when First Take had a real moderator.
Stephen really thinks that being a part of the media places him above the athletes
JJ with the “in 2022 we act like there weren’t super teams all through history” is the realest thing ever spoken on first take.

To answer the question, I think it's KD. LeBron already old af, he can't win a championship as the best player on the team. And also KD's big 3 are all in their prime.
Good to see JJ being real.
Same as Miami big 3 and Cleveland big 3 was all in their prime and KD was the best player on the warriors so what is u saying curry had to take a back seat to KD
@@theetruth8626 yah AD should lead the way for the Lakers. Let LeBron be the point guard, rebound and defend. He was around top 20 in defensive win shares the year they won the chip. I think he is still capable of defending.

“It’s a story that has to be told” Stephen A is all about Narratives, without facts.
JJ gives this show a breath of fresh air.
In my opinion I say Kevin Durant, because of the big 3, they are all under pressure to win a title for the Nets organization. LeBron has won a title with 3 different teams, that's amazing itself, he has nothing else to prove.
No LeBron has won with 7 different franchise players on his rosters what have he won without having more then everyone else
Stephen A and JJ is a great combo
How tf can Stephen A tell former players about pressure and how they should feel. Then to say he has to "teach them" blows my mind.
Its obvious on this one since KD needs one without GSW. KD going to the Nets and having his own team is all about him winning one without GSW.
Uhhh bc he a sports media guy & ppl love a story
@@princecheck11 Exactly, this is entertainment for the people.... and look at the conversations of fans.. its all about legacies. Just before KD left GSW everyone was talking about he needs to win one without GSW as everyone was calling him a cupcake.... he is now with the Nets with 2 other stars.. and somehow now there is no pressure on KD?! BS... people here are just siding on such a terrible take by JJ because they don't like SAS when in reality this is a horrible take from JJ as even he knows that KD needs one outside of GSW..... When KD needs a burner account on social media, you know he even knows how his move to GSW made him look. I don't knock him for going to GSW, and gain the Championship experience but you gotta translate that to your own just like how Lebron already has proven.
More JJ please
I’ll say KD but at the same time neither one has much to prove but ppl do wanna see KD get a ring without the help of a super team

JJ should be the permanent co-host, he only speaks facts and doesn’t waste words.
The pressure is on KD who left several rings on the table by leaving Golden State prematurely to go join the "Kyrie-Circus". If he never wins another title, his choice to leave GS will somewhat stain his legacy and forever mark him as an under-achiever who should have more than 2 rings having played with Kyrie, Harden, Westbrook, Steph and Klay.
To join them stained his legacy he could of win without them in okc

LeBron is easily top 3-4 all time. I'd say KD has the most pressure, technically, just due to the whole Warriors narrative but KD won two rings, an MVP and is the best pure scorer ever.
Jj is already one of my favorite analysts always keeps it real!
I love how the whole world doesn’t expect much from Kevin Durant , but they always demand for Lebron James , even when he was just 18, that shows LeBron is a better and a greater one

Athletes love downplaying competition by stacking the deck. Then say winning a championship doesn’t define their career when they come up short. Why stack the deck then?
The deck will always be stacked. Either by athletes or by team management. Any athlete that says winning championships doesn't define their career have not won a championship.

Either way the point remains.. Winning a championship doesn't make one player better than the other.
Love JJ on here
For me it all depends on context.
Lebron’s legacy is top 10. Maybe top 7 at best.
