Some schools also used codes to alert the whole campus in case of lockdown to make it less suspicious for the intruder. Also, I’m sure that teachers do know the procedures from their school's emergency plans and probably are told to teach and talk about what to do in a lockdown to their students, so there was no point in saying all of that if the campus needed to be put on lockdown.

Also, they do NOT say all clear. Sometimes the vice principal acts as the person who broke in the school and says over the PA System "This is Mr ****** speaking. You may now go back to original positions. Lockdown is over." or somethin like that as a joke, but we aren't supposed to move. Crazy thing is that the band students left after they said it. The police actually found out the door wasn't locked, so they *FAILED* the dirll. But when the vice principal said "Ok. As I said before, the drill is over. You can go to TA." We weren't supposed to move, but we went to TA, and the whole school *failed* lol
