Since I'm not the adventurous sort, I would never have known that there were places like this in the city, but vloggers like you make us aware of the places we should go. I greatly appreciate this informative video.
Thanks for the video Taylor. I feel as if you are the host showing us around this beautiful city. Loved how the young lady acknowledges you at 2:15 with the victory sign. lol
I like the lush green plants. It's makes the place beautiful and the food intro by Andrew looks great. Never he eats this place before" Bamboo Hills". Pretty nice.
Hi Taylor have you been to KLCC there is a cold storage on the ground floor it has lots of goodies like cheese and crackers beer and of course chocolate please go and have a look. Angela from Perth Western Australia
Oh yes, we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here few years back. There's a Japanese restaurant called Kanpai. Their wagyu BBQ is one of the best!
We went to Bamboo Hill tonight, also to Tap Room KL / Pizza Duo, we were thinking of it and when I saw your video, we booked for dinner. The surroundings are really nice, lots of greenery and well landscaped. Tap Room / Pizza Duo however didn’t deliver to expectation. Pizza was good, but service is awful, slow and lazy. And the place is swarmed at night, mostly young local crowds. Nive for a visit, supposedly Potager is a good fine dining restaurant there, but not sure I’d go back soon. Too far from where we live in KLCC and just not the right vibe at night.
Happy weekend Andrew 🎉This restaurant is really a great place to have a meal in, with beautiful food and surroundings, you can have a stroll around after the meal and relax. I miss K.L and Penang, many friendly people, great food and greenery. So nice to know you always enjoy your life in Malaysia 🎉🎉👍
This is simply amazing, you are a box 📦 of surprises. Your epicurean sense of directionis out of this world. You always find great places with a local flair. At 6:16 the gardens are simply gorgeous, good choice of music too. Love it❤
Looks like a nice place. Looked up the website and they do have 3 towers planned just east of the eateries. Look like a grocery is planned too. Seems like a good development plan. Is that a decent part of the city? Says there is a MRT stop nearby.
Enjoyed the video...the few days we spent in Malaysia,we had the chance to try an Italian cuisine in KL,we were impressed. We once had pizza in Rome,we thought it was awful..ha,,ha.btw,Malaysians tend to eat out a lot,my partner and I only.eat out on special occasions though we appreciate fine cuisine. Is eating out part of their culture or is it purely because its affordable?
I have heard that all those F&B outlets at Bamboo Hills are only temporary. In a few years they might get demolished for condos. Personally we enjoyed the Japanese restaurant there (Kampai Yakiniku).
I liked the music. Sorry to hear about your dreadful experience at the Botanica. Like you I thought it looked fantastic but a restaurant is only as good as its food no matter how attractive the decor. I hope they upkeep the maintenance - I'll be curious to see how Bamboo Hills (btw where's the hill?) looks in 2 years 😁
Hi Andrew (and other Malaysia fans) if I had only 4 days to visit Malaysia, do you recommend KL or Penang? I'm leaning towards Penang because I feel like it would be more accessible to walk around/get around. I'm open to both, but walkability and "ease" in use of public transport is also a main consideration. What would you recommend?
Just how much money does one need to live in Malaysia? I've seen many videos which break down daily and monthly costs but no one gives an overall amount of money in the bank that is required. For example, I am from the UK and am 42 years old. Would a total amount of £800K (~$1M) be enough. If I received 4-5% passive income from share dividends, that would generate £32K-£40K a year. I am presuming that will be enough? I want to move to SE Asia very soon but, naturally, am nervous about the financial side of things and don't want to overlook anything. Thanks.
I would not pick Chiang Mai because of the very polluted air during the burning season. Even Bangkok was hard enough to breathe last month when I was there. KL, which I was also there last month, is a giant metropolis, lots of concrete like that of New York City but much cleaner and the people are nicer. You get good health care in KL on par with the big hospitals in Bangkok. Siem Reap is a small town that has plenty of different cuisine that you’d never have to worry about whether you can eat anything. There are good restaurants like Malis (mango salad) or Wild where they make very good fresh spring rolls out of Caesar salad. There are hamburger places and Italian food places, all kinds. And in SR, you have an out of body experience of sort when you walk among the temples, to see the grand creations thousands of years ago made possible without any machine or modern invention. What SR lacks, however, are great medical centers. They do have hospitals but anything serious, you have to make the hour flight to Bangkok, KL, or Singapore. Siem Reap has an international airport. To stay long term in KL, you have to have a bit of money to fulfill their long stay requirements whereas in Cambodia there’s just easy visa extension. Both places are hot. If you like hot over cold weather, then you’ll be fine.
@@heythavethere is a whole other aspect to Malaysia impacting millions of their own people which Taylor is completely silent on, maybe because as an expat he only cares about the goodies for his types.
@@kitkat253 Like what? I think Andrew sticks to his topic well. He can’t be the official news channel of Malaysia. But, if you have some info, please share.
Andrew, I wanted to ask you about the bank deposit requirement for the MM2H: are the funds held in US dollars or ringgit? And was there a reason as to why you chose that particular bank? Are there any banks that would give you a choice to keep in dollar or ringgit?
I’ll have to add this on my list to visit while I’m there! Looks beautiful! So glad you shared this with us Taylor!

The best...❤ It..
Great montage, Taylor
We will be in KL this week. We will definitely visit there!
It is a very comfy and nice place. Interesting!
It really is!
Good place..haha..you found it..not all locals know whre is this park..TQ Taylor..
I really enjoy your restaurant reviews because I never know there are these restaurants in Malaysia.

Lovely place.
It really is!
A pizza without cheese is like trying to enjoy an Oreo cookie without the milk! 🤣 Great video Andrew, thank you for taking us along.
My pleasure!
Craft beer! Wow!
Yes ...loving your restaurant reviews ..more plzzz ..
How did you get yr motorcycle license in Malaysia ?
Transferred from US.
Nice looking place. Looks a little pricy to me. Best wishes to you and to Earl Gray.
It is pricey 😂

Both I think!
Ambience in most restaurants good & relaxing but food not ok below standards (except for Starbucks)
I hv heard about it
I have heard that all those F&B outlets at Bamboo Hills are only temporary. In a few years they might get demolished for condos.

I think they are adding condos. This development is much too nice and expensive to tear down.
Why demolish such a beautiful place. The draw or highlight is not the condos. It is the surroundings !

Hi, Taylor, nice video. Can you talk about the health insurance in overseas?

Hi Taylor
Question.
What's the most things you like about Malaysia?
Too many to list!
That thing is the "Astana" Event Space, its for "beautiful weddings and events".
Thanks so I wasn’t wrong! 😑
Was that a local temple with the triangles or a spiritual kind of place?
For weddings someone said

more than enuf to live modestly

I believe it’s all in ringgit
@@andrewtaylor4558 That means the money can lose its value when the dollar is traded at a higher rate.
The montage music was too good for me that i forgot to watch.

Sadly, exceptional landscapes/restaurants are sometimes spoilt by unexceptional food experience.
So true
I’m sure restaurant at bukit bamboo has a whole range of foods you can choose from. I’m sure too some people love the pizza that Andrew had had
Love your exploration videos. Was there a time when you felt lonely and had nothing to do?
Nope. I am almost never bored 😑
