This song is actually based on a trip that Eric went on with Justin Hayward from The Moody Blues. Graham Gouldman then wrote the song that included a bit of his experience too. Love this! Notice the changing position of the back up singers shirt collars in different shots. This band is a good rabbit hole to go down. My favorite of theirs is Feel The Benefit. There are plenty of live videos of this band too. Thanks for all you do.🙂

nicest guys I have ever met. Spent about three hours with them, mainly with Rick, the guy with the moustache last June after their concert here. Really nice men.

Blue-eyed reggae! Gotda love it. Such a fluff piece that is so fun. Never saw the video, which I love.
This story almost exactly mirrored my experience when first visiting Jamaica. (except the cricket part) Mid '70s, two young naïve white guys spending 10 days in the country. Started out scary and foreign; ended fully immersed......loving Jamaica and all the cool people we met. So many crazy and wonderful experiences. So many warm and loveable people. Totally away from the touristy resorts, it was real and earthy......a life-changing trip with memories that I would not trade for anything.

This is darker than most think. At a time when little was known about Jamaica in the UK apart from tales of muggings, Yardie gangs and drugs brought back by cricket supporters and tourists. Great satire like most of their songs.

Their music was fun, their lyrics clever, they were one of the great bands of the 70s. I've got their greatest hits on vinyl on the shelf.
This isn't one of my favourite's, it got played to death, but it is good. Think my favourite has to be Wall St Shuffle, which is full of great lyrics, and has a driving beat behind if. Rubber Bullets is a story song about a prison riot. Under your thumb, and I'm Mandy fly me, both introduce a slightly spooky element to procedings. They did a lot of others - Donna - Cry - good morning judge.....
