  • This beautiful 2023 Vintera II 70s Tele bass has sold, so I'm filming the setup for the lucky buyer plus anyone else who's interested. I give the setup measurements in the video. This bass was a breeze to set up and it plays like butter. If you want to see more of this bass, I previously made a walkthrough/demo video of it here:

Hi, I don't have this bass anymore, but the Fender page says 1/8" hex size. You can see the Fender reference page in my old listing here if you like: reverb.com/item/80478995-fender-vintera-ii-70s-telecaster-bass-vintage-white-mint-bag-see-video-30678

You don't happen to remember the PU heights? Mine came with PU at about 12/64th...and that seems high.

Hi, you mean how far the pickup is sticking up out of the pickguard, or am I misunderstanding you? Myself, I generally measure from the top of the pickup to the bottom of the string to check how much clearance the string has that way. If I want more output I raise the pickup to get closer to the string. On guitars you can get pretty close depending on pickup output, but on bass those large strings can vibrate so much you sometimes need more clearance. cheers

The strings should be loose when adjusting the truss rod!
