It's kind of creepy how it tells you your IP address, location and internet provider at the top of the screen. Anyway NordVPN is still 73% off is still on! bit.ly/3B7C35z get those dramas!!
Like... It's not even that explicit to be honest. Its more comedy than anything else 😂😂. Love this show, my favorite at the moment then "Spare me your mercy".
@@BLblush24How in the world do they think there’s no plot? It’s literally the overarching plot and premise of Taming of the Shrew. They even beat us over the head with the reference in the first episode. And Kant has a quote from Shakespeare tattooed on his back. Jojo is making every effort to make sure we understand. I could understand other criticisms of the series, but “no plot” was not on my bingo card. That’s just absurd.
Finally, an adult conversation about plots, symbolism, deeper introspection, etc, and not just superficial objectification. Not that the boys aren't gorgeous nor that the NC scenes aren't hot... it's just so refreshing for me to read (listen to / see) an adult perspective. Well done. I bet the Director and crew will be overjoyed that someone gets the deeper meaning and that their efforts haven't gone to waste! I really enjoy your content. Thank you, and I am looking forward to your next offering.
After watching the third episode, my first thought was that it became evident fairly quickly that while two of the characters are assassins, it’s the other two men who are least likable. Kant and style’s characters are so willing to invade privacy, disrespect physical boundaries, and manipulate emotions that they leave you wondering if they aren’t the actual “professionals“
you all forgetting kant is a ex criminal too , like he is an ex car thief , him having some of these traits like being good at lying and manipulation is expected that is why the captain keep forcing him to work for the police in these cases , captain chris mention that he knows kant can do the job better than a cop practically because he is good at this and his not morally correct person anyway, also people keep forgetting that he is being blackmailed by that cop and forced to go on different dangerous missions since the cop is threatening him with re opening his old car thief cases which will send kant to jail and that will cause him to be separated from his little brother, little brother who happens to be a teenager who has no one but kant to take care of him , i bet his little brother is the reason why kant stopped his criminal activities in the first place and the reason why he is trying his best to clean his criminal records, actually he has the most valid reasons in this serie to do the things his doing also all he knows about bison and fadel is that they are dangerous assassins , in the other hand the 2 brothers have being brainwashed by their adoptive mother to work for her in this assassin profession and family business, they crearly do NOT want to be killers or live their whole life killing people and both have tried to go out of this family business and quit this job , even fadel did as showed in the last episode , he dated a guy in the past and he tried to get out off this asassin job and family business , he wanted to quit too but after something happened with that guy , they talked about a loss , he changed his mind and and bison is currently trying to quit but fadel is preventing him from letting him speak with their mother about it, he knows quitting is no an option for them or at least something that is hard to do be because fadel himself tried to quit before but couldn't also their mother seem very toxic and manipulative type of mother, she keeps forcing them to do this horrible job , and brainwashing them into thinking they are doing good to society by killing this rich politician men who come across as good people in front of the public eyes while committing crimes behind close doors , and well style is just a goofy kinda annoying and stalker ish guy, i don't expect him to be morally correct person either because there is a reason why he is kant's best friend even kant mention that in episode one , all 4 characters are complex characters they are not entirely bad people but also are NOT morally correct people either , life is not black and white , everyone has a reason valid for them at least , to do and act the way they do , but if you ask me dispite being the most hated character at the moment, I think kant has the most valid reasons right now to do what he is doing , because he is doing this mission as his life depends on it , to clean his criminal record and leave his past illegal activities behind in order to give his little brother a better life and to avoid getting into jail which ultimately will ended up forcing him to be separated from his little brother who is his priority, and the person who he wants to protect the most and will do anything for also he is working for the police who are suppose to be the good guys because no matter how charming fadel and bison are being presented in the serie they are still assassins and are not the innocent victims some people want them to be , they are not entirely bad people but they are not the good guys either . no one in this serie is entirely good or bad , they all have been doing questionable things , and have their fair amount of red flags . The serie is literally about 2 assassins brothers (fadel and bison), a thief (kant) and a goofy mechanic with stalker ish traits, it is foolish that the audience who decided to watch this serie knowing this since the beginning expect now to not find any red flags , problematic behavior and faults in their main characters or suddenly want them and expect them to be morally correct characters lmao also there will be for sure character development and redemption arc for all 4 of them eventually , we are literally just in episode 3 guys !
@@candycamacho9558it’s so humanizing. Everyone has their reasons for doing what they do, but that doesn’t mean it’s right. Two wrongs don’t make a right. In most series, it’s an Angel and devil character that’s gonna change. This series is a full circle of justifying “doing bad things to bad people”. Doing terrible things for what they believe is right. Kant has a brother to take care of and probably raised. Bison and Fadel were orphans, Bison has no skulls other than killing and manipulation being taken care of by Fadel. Style…. Maybe we’ll see? He might just be the breath of fresh air character. He still went out of his way to a very personal space, not only for Fadel, both other grieving people. He could’ve easily avoided being seen, but didn’t. Overall, Fadel shouldn’t try to make Bison stay killing with him. Kant shouldn’t take advantage of Bisons genuine feelings. Style should know boundaries. Bison shouldn’t have sold his brother out to Style. No one is perfect and I respect them for it
It's a freaking Thai bl! That's all you need to know. I don't understand why people expect more from some bls. They aren't always supposed to make you think too much or deep, just entertain.
The fact that so many watchers only saw 🌽and didn't even notice the plot and layers of underlying themes makes me worried about the BL fandom. This is the kind of complex storytelling we've been craving, FFS.
@@aprillen yes, this! I see so many complaints that fans are tired of the basic, by-the-numbers, BLs and want more variety, more creativity, and more intelligent storytelling. And then when we finally start getting it, there’s a contingent of fans who are balking at having to actually ‘think’, and they blame anything (ex: adult content) other than their own lacking & laziness. It’s discouraging, but I like to hope that the balance skews more towards a quieter majority who applaud the change instead of the vocal minority who want to be spoonfed.
@@touchofstrange Of course it will skew towards the growing majority of viewers who are appreciating what these creators are trying to do and for GMMTV in taking the risk in allowing these Queer creators to do something outside of the what IS expected for these series. There is also the other option of these viewers who have SO much concern over what they're watching. Just don't watch it anymore, but we ALL know that they won't stop watching.
@@VixenByNight72exactly they won't stop watching because it's easier for them to keep hate watching than to admit they don't have the brain capacity to understand complex storytelling , also if you add to this the fact that some of these people crearly have their own hidden agenda, some of them are part of some petty fandom wars and they are here just to hate on the actors themselves and that includes the project/serie itself also I can see a lot of jealousy since some of these people can't stand the fact that dispite them throwing tantrums about thk , the serie is actually getting more and more successful with each episode as it should because thk is actually good and touch in so many important subjects , this is the kind of unique and complex storytelling that I was craving for from a gmmtv production and I will not let a bunch of ignorant people to take the fun of it or stop me from enjoying this amazing serie .
Totally in agreement here. The scenes make us uncomfortable because we know the lies beneath them as well. The Fadel scene- he was alone and being himself.
I’ve got to be honest, I did not expect the level of purity policing with THK that I’ve seen with other BLs with NC content that dare to use sex to establish characterization, develop plot, or even to simply represent that sex is a normal aspect of human relationships (e.x. 4 Minutes, Love Sea, etc…) Silly on my part, seeing that the ‘purity police’ are everywhere… I’m so very tired of these kids that are to young, too naive or too ignorant to comprehend that sex is a part of real life. People aren’t watching these higher rated BLs purely for titillation. (There’s plenty of actual 🌽 for that for crying out loud.) There’s a huge audience for stories that aren’t afraid to include the exploration of sexual dynamics in adult relationships for legitimate storytelling purposes. It’s so obvious to anyone with a brain that the variety and intensity of the sexual encounters in THK are such important elements of the plot. There’s a reason that Kant’s first hookup with Bison happened when it did. The change in their sexual dynamic is also a big part of their arc. The same with Fadel and Style and the extremely impersonal way their first sexual encounter played out. Fadel is distancing himself with the mindset that he’s just an itch to be scratched by Style. He can avoid considering the deeper implications of the progress of a developing emotional connection. I would go so far as to suggest that anyone dismissing THK for its more mature exploration is not seeing the forest for the trees (i.e. the story for the smut) and is not the audience for these kinds of shows. But rather than accept that not every story is made for everyone and they should just bypass the things that contain elements they don’t like, they act like entitled brats and try to force their views & agenda on everyone.
And they will continue to watch every second of the remaining episodes and will continue to complain, moan, and b*tch about it, just to not miss out on anything.
This is exactly it! Fidel finally having sex Style had nothing to do him actually giving in to him. He was using it as a tool to distance Style, turning it into an emotionless transaction instead of something intimate. It was a way to dehumanize their interactions and repress what he’s actually feeling. It was brilliantly done.
You ate with this comment and I totally agree 💯 , actually I find this purity police the most annoying type of BL fans , actually the most ignorant type of people , most of them have not the brain to understand complex storytelling in BL , they live in a fantasy were they don't even know or understand how real relationships and normal human and sexual interactions work in real life specially when it comes to the queer community, this purity police people are so out of touch with reality that I feel kinda pity for them , and left me wondering how these people can even survive in the real world , how can they going through life when they are so afraid of something as normal and natural as sex 😂
I'm in agreement in the purity police or making a series less it there's explicit sex. And spot on, every series is NOT for everybody > and that's okay. BUT from a BDSM perspective (from someone who has ropes under their bed pre-attached to save time) the acting was spectacular! First gave every emotion a newbie would experience in that situation. (This man was even able to communicate his feelings from under a blindfold so BRAVO!) I think it was an honest exploration of power exchange. Fai & Style: Style literally says what is happening Nail & Bail... because as pointed out this is why Fai did it. He needed to distance himself from someone offering him normalacy. Thank you for sharing! Many hugs, Z. Allora
I love how this show is an adaption of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. In the first episode this is even very strongly hinted at by one of the main characters reading this very story. I really like this show!
I kinda wish they hadn’t beaten us over the head with the Taming of the Shrew connection. But maybe that was geared more to a Thai audience who likely are long as familiar with Shakespeare beyond Romeo and Juliet. Maybe? Otherwise, it’s just kinda bad writing. 🫤
I feel like THK has a great plot right now and I can’t wait to see more. I can definitely see why people think the whole series is about sex but it’s kinda deeper than that. At least in my opinion.
Oh yesss i remember reading a comment under one of the episodes saying how much they hate the series bcz it's nth more than sexual scenes..and that he would rather watch p***n if he wanted sexual things...he particularly stated that he didn't like it bcz the series is devoid of any 'emotional connection' or 'emotional depth' ..and i was like??? That's the plot???? Kant and style r supposed to be deceitful here??? They're not here to get emotionally attached to bison and fadel..wtf? Did he just totally ignore the entire plotlineee??? Like if u don't want 'deceitful' stuff and want soft lovey dovey things then maybe this show ain't for u ..
I don't know why but it feels like that Fadel and Kant are using every tactic to protect themselves and people important to them (their brothers). On the other hand, Bison and Style are looking to have control in any aspect. Bison's desire for control is very clear. But Style also shows frustration (even though he quickly hides it behind his carefree act) when he can't get the reaction he hopes for from Fadel. I feel like his carefree and shameless behavior is his way of retaliating. But we need more backstory on Style.
Honestly, although the forced kiss showed the crack on Style's confidence, to me the fact he followed Fadel to the therapy group really was a glaring evidence of how desperate he's becoming. I think that was the stroke that broke the camel's back for Fadel, hence the coldness and detachment in the JoongDunk love scene. I'm curious to know how things will progress You made really nice points in this analysis, I did not make the association with capitalism but now the nagging in my brain that I was missing something has been answered, so thanks!
I loved this video I agree with everything and it's interesting for me how people forget that not only Kant is covering himself under a mask but Bison also does, as he doesn't know Kant already knows about his secret job, and actually no one is being authentic here, therefore the s3x scenes can't feel personal or warm, because they're not supposed to be personal or warm when we're all faking to protect ourselves
I think we are seeing the struggle fans are having, adjusting to the fact that many of these actors are adults. They cant keep playing out the way overdone college love trope. The fact that this BL actually has a very complex storyline and we are getting hints at characters we don’t know a lot about yet, as well as many things we still don’t know about our leads, especially Style.. like what is his real deal? Just a mechanic? I don’t think so. He was returning keys to Mrs Ped, the same night the boys were trying to get her info. The fact that his brain immediately goes to assassin etc for Fadel when he knows that Fadel is not who he claims to be. And don’t forget the mention of Boonterm by both Mother AND Style in the third episode. This is not about NC content. In fact I think it’s used to disguise many important plot points. If you are only focusing on those scenes you are missing the whole point. And I don’t know that I would say that those scenes are cold and emotionless… beneath those “detached”exteriors there are a wealth of emotions at play..
Well said.🎉..So much to unpack. Its not CORN. Its layered storytelling. The NC scenes are not out of place. These are not unexperienced school kids. The characters are men with real jobs in the real world with real obstacles. ..Unfortunately, sometimes BL fans and critics get so caught up in the "formula," they find change or something a little outside the normal difficult to accept.
Yup. Anytime, when "the formula" isn't created with the same exact "ingredients", especially with Thai BLs, folks lose their minds, because it's not what they expect or used to. These last two videos reveal just how rigid certain fans of this genre are being.
I generally find criticisms on intimate scenes to be valid, when it is just thrown in to get people talking, but has literally serves no actual purpose to the storyline. But that is really not the case here. All of the intimate scenes are carefully constructed in the way it is supposed to be. It has a lot to do with the storyline and whatever the characters are going through. This is real life babe. It is not supposed to be a perfect ride. Liked this highly detailed video on this series. If there are still some people who see no plot, even after watching this insightful video, then I think they are just unnecessarily hating on, this either based on their prudence or perhaps ignorance.
@@PurpleHues26 yeah I def agree too. I think there’s a reason why thk has quite a lot of nc scenes. I think it’s supposed to go along with the storyline. (If that made any sense. Sorry I’m not good at explaining things.)
@s8k5ullit makes total sense like literally thk have 3-4 NC scenes by now and each one of these scenes wer/are constructed in the way it's supposed to be and serve a purpose for the characters and the storytelling and to convey the emotions or feelings that the characters are going through at the moment. Anyone who can see that literally is lacking the brain capacity to understand the complexity of the characters and the storytelling .
This clearly is not a series for the younger “shipping” fans as many of the ideas that you expressed will go right over their heads. Indeed, with 9 more episodes to go, we have probably just scratched the surface. I wonder who “Mother” is? Another surprise for sure.
I am so over the whole hypocritical point of view of some BL viewers these days. On the one hand, everyone sings the praises of one series, praising actors for taking leaps of faith and giving us smouldering, and very realistic intimate scenes, then they suddenly turn around and criticise another series for doing the same thing. They whine about 'silly blue shorts, or university fluff with little to no emotion', calling for more realistic scenes, but whinge and carry on when they get it. They constantly criticise younger actors for 'bad acting', often because they don't 'give us' proper kiss scenes, claiming them to be stiff and awkward, yet when they are given more adult scenes, call them out as 🌽. They praise certain actors, (who couldn't act their way out of a paper bag), to the heavens... yep, I'm talking about Bright, as a typical example, and then in the same breath, they denounce others, who only give what the directors want us to see, as awkward and talentless. Make up your goddamned minds people. Why can't people just watch a BL series and enjoy it for what it is... and in context? I firmly believe that the people who are constantly b1tching and carrying on, either can't tell the difference between fact and fantasy, or are too young or immature to be watching BL in the first place. Quite simply, if it offends you, just don't watch, and go and find something more suitable to your sensitivities to watch, and leave the rest of us to enjoy watching in peace.
Wow, I wasn’t prepared for in-depth analyses since hardly anyone does that with spicy BLs, wo almost always are reduced to these scenes only. Keep going.
I believe style's masking is the most perfect one...cz at a point i also forgot that his shameless demeanor isn't who he actually is...he isn't being shameless to genuinely be with fadel, rather it's a pursuit of gaining fadel's trust to get the vintage car which eventually turns into a motive of unveiling fadel's true personality...
An excellent essay I must say and I couldn't agree more. You probably haven't played it, but in the game Dragon Age Origins, there's an assassin sent to kill your main character. As a character, he's very flippant about sex and intimacy. In his case sex became a survival tool and also a form of currency. When done well, which I think is true in the case of THK, characters like these always try to determine the exchange rate. I appreciate your take on this. Good job!
I am thoroughly enjoying THK. I can’t wait for the next episode each week. I don’t understand people who can’t appreciate or accept that a drama can have a quality plot, quality acting, and be heavy on the NC content at the same time.
WOW WOW WOW. All I can say is wow FINALLY someone is actually looking at these dramas with clear eyes. There is so much going on in this series and it pisses me off that most of the comments on other page are about such superficial things. THANK YOU for peeling back the layers. I agree with everything you said. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I totally agree with your analysis here. From the trailer get-go, we knew up front that this was NOT going to be a "typical" BL series. Actually, I totally expect that this will not have the usual "happy ending", just from the subject matter itself. The MCs being involved in murder and emotional manipulation does not bode well for that. But there's something else at play here ... maybe even not intentionally - art imitating real life. The recent events with the "health insurance" monopoly CEO taken out in Midtown Manhattan has an eerily familiar feel to The Heart Killers. In the show, Mother talks about their marks being "upstanding citizens" in public, while being involved in truly evil deeds behind the scenes. IRL, the CEO of the parent monopoly of that insurance company issued a statement about what a caring and compassionate "family man" the late CEO was, and how "shocking" it was to see the dismissive and even snide internet reactions had been. Yet on a daily basis, more and more is being revealed about the shady financial dealings the late CEO was involved in costing the company millions, AND how he was involved in instituting policies that caused untold suffering and death of thousands of the company's insured members through claims delays and denials. So The Heart Killers" is really a timely commentary on real current events. It just happens to have a BL theme as well.
I never commented before on your channel but I really love your videos, thank you for this video, it sums up some things I was also thinking about 💞 I love the plot of THK and also thinks it has interesting things to tell and I just really love it so much, I especially love the character's writing and can't wait to know more about Fadel's past 💓 I also think that Kant using Bison and how their relationship evolves is way more than just steamy for no reason and for the viewer, same goes for Fadel and Style. I can't wait to watch the upcoming episodes, I just feel it's very well crafted and Khaotung, First, Joong and Dunk are excellent in their roles, your analysis on the symbolism of the burger joint is so interesting and I hope more people could just go beyond what they see and what is told directly
I wonder if we would even be having these conversations if this was a straight drama? Or if this wasn't a gmmtv show? We say we want adult stories and now we have some and parts of the fandom are ruining it. Not all dramas are for everone. This is just like how people complained about Playboyy. You could really tell who was actually watching the show and understanding it and who wasn't. Thank you for your deep dive.
You know you have impressed me so much and made me happy because everyone was thinking that thk was ranking 1st on iqiyi due nc scene and no due to story line when only 3 out of 12 episodes have aired so far people are not understanding the fact that there lot more to come...
Great essay about this series and your usual content is very balanced and mature, I subscribed a while back after I watched one of your videos for the first time. I have no sympathy for the audience that cannot move past the HS/Uni First Love tropes and grow along with the actors. They should stick to those boring, formulaic and repetitive "dramas" and leave the rest of us alone, instead of becoming some sort of pearl clutching, reality estranged morality police. Keep it up, I feel you're going places with this fresh and frank analysis of our weird, but fascinating niche in entertainment culture.
i think people are too quick to clutch their pearls and become selectively blind to what really goes on in the show. the characters are layered and morally complicated. the show is not for comfort. the characters are not comfortable, their problems are not comfortable. unmasking is highly uncomfortable
to add: how incredibly pivotal the moment where we learn that fadel has been going to a grief support group and how crudely style invades that safe space- the NC scene that follows and how violently they parted is an answer to that violation of boundaries, respect and privacy that style did on fadel. it's amazing fadel didn't kill him
Dude, i knew the plot itself was unique and interesting..bt this video analysis MADE ME LOVE IT EVEN MORE..THNX FOR POINTING OUT THE DEPTH AND MEANING OF EACH SCENE
As you were talking about capitalism and the burger joint, RUclips cut to a commercial for the Wall Street Journal, kind of funny and scary at the same time🤷🏻♂️
i really do love jojo's shows, i think they're always so interesting. He's got a very unique aesthetic and sense of humor that he uses to create a connection with the viewer on topics that are profoundly deep and hit home. i particularly enjoyed the warp effect and 3 will be free. i think ppl are used in having bls reprenting an idealized version of male romance, with close to flawless characters, or at least to expect from the media they consume to be morally right ? and i think it might also have something to do with the proximity of the bl viewer to the actors and the ships. but here the story is driven by the character's flaws. like what do u expect ?hitmen and undecover cops/car stealers to give you just a rosy romance?
"i think ppl are used in having bls reprenting an idealized version of male romance, with close to flawless characters, or at least to expect from the media they consume to be morally right ? and i think it might also have something to do with the proximity of the bl viewer to the actors and the ships." It seems like these viewers that are really having a hard time in understanding the plot, is that they expect to see some version of who they THINK the actors are in these roles. Seeing Khaotung portraying a BDSM enthusiast, who also happens to be a hit man? Joong portraying a hit man, who has severe issues of allowing ANYONE into he and his younger brother's shadowy lives? First and Dunk portraying basically USERS, who are trying to get details/info from men, that they are gaslighting, by using their bodies and attractiveness to get them to reveal themselves? This is like pouring ice cold water over their heads. They can't and frankly won't put away their fantasy ideal version of these actors and let themselves go on the journey that this series is giving us as viewers.
If you haven’t yet check out 3 will be free, same director/screenwriter, it has some similarities in depth. I think I’m going to slowly work through his series because of how much I liked 3 will be free and the heart killers.
I would add that even the comments are transactional because you as a viewer wants your time, attention, expectations worth it and when you're not satisfied you find faults in the ''product'' and bashed it so it can get less views demonstrating your power over the series. A beautiful continuation of the capitalism.
Gracias, no puedo creer ya haya personas quejándose con solo 3 episodios, sospecho solo quieren ver fluffy BLs. Además las actuaciones de los 4 están excelentes, mis respetos para todo el cast y el staff detrás.
Excuse me it actually has a plot maybe people need to pay attention to the story rather than the so called hot scenes🤦🏻♀️ Like there so many questions to be answered in the future episodes like “ Why is Fadel scared to be committed into a relationship?” and “ What made Mother start her so called mission of assasinating people with power?” and this is why THK is very interesting
It's funny when they say that there's too much NC when every ep so far has had an average of ONE NC scene in episodes that run 60mins+, none of which has lasted longer than a minute. So my question to the complainers would be what's taking up the other 59+ minutes? Might it be the *plot* and what the show is actually about? I think what's rubbing some people the wrong way is that sex is being used as a plot device, whereas typically in BLs sex doesn't come until after confessions of love and commitment. I've seen people saying that Fadel is in love with Style/Kant is in love with Bison since ep1 when nothing could be further from the truth. Fadel makes his dislike of Style known every chance he gets. LOUDLY. He had sex with him to get rid of him once and for all, simple as that. It didn't work so he resorted to violence, his actual nature, when Style tried to prevent him from leaving. Similarly, Kant is trying to survive. Bison might be cute but he's not some little innocent puppy. The man is a cold blooded killer. If Kant has to use him to ensure that he and his brother are safe and have a future, so be it. Looking for love so early in the series, especially a series like this, is purely on the fault of the viewer. They clearly haven't accepted the characters for who they've actually shown themselves to be. Another issue is the book. We know that book readers tend to be purists who want everything to come across the exact same way. There are also viewers who haven't read the book but have been exposed to the events of the book and the characterization of the book characters so it feels to them like the show is very different and *ruining* their beloved source material. What they don't seem to know is that the book was written based on an outline of the script so the script and show are actually the OG and the book is basically fanfiction. At the end of the day, everyone is going to have the viewing experience that they want. Hate watchers are watching just so that they can shit on it every week. But they're driving up views and engagement so...let them keep at it, I guess.
Thank you for your insight on the series. Your analisis covered some questions I was wondering about (specifically about the Burger business) and others I didn't ( the mask theory).
Thanks for your input about The Heart Killers, it's always great to have people who are able to think and who are not solely driven by their emotions/taste and own expectations about a series. Though I may confess the comparison with capitalism was a bit of a stretch for me. Instead, I may have just mentioned the way the majority of people is used to interact in society (so by wearing masks, driven by their own motives that are more or less egoist/moral). But I feel like The Heart Killers is 1. mainly for fun/entertainment, not really here to make you reflect deeply; and 2. it's indeed one of those series that may make you reflect about human nature in general, even out of capitalism/society. I mean, egoism wasn't invented by society, it's a seed that has always been in every human being and then that led to society and its problematics (and then it's a circle, society shapes people in return, etc.). And also, you don't need to be someone who feels trapped in your life to be a s*d*st like Bison in your preferences regarding intimacy, it may be a part of you, outside any trauma/conflict/personal pb. Some people in this kind of situation may also be into m*soch*sm, and even in none of those, so there can't be generalization. In conclusion, I get the impression that Jojo just likes showing many dark aspects of human nature in his series by using satire. It's his thing. Personally, it's not really what I prefer to watch, but hey, The Heart Killers has been really entertaining so far and I just love First and Khaotung as actors and ship, so I'll watch it until the end. If one may believe what Khaotung said, the relationship between Kant and Bison will be the sweetest he and First have played until now (so I suppose they'll be lovey-dovey at some point? Or maybe it's only because in their previous roles, there was so much drama and tears that even KantBison is still better, even with the drama that has yet to come 🤣). Btw, I don't know if you saw it, but in your subtitles there are many mistakes, mainly in names (Can't for Kant, Fidel instead of Fadel, etc.). I suppose you use a speech-to-text software, so maybe it'd be safer to re-read the text if you have time. But I know making videos takes a lot of time, so it's only a suggestion to improve your work in case you didn't notice. 🌺
Okay, so I know this might sound kind of unrelated, but I feel the need to share bc my fellow bl-story readers will understand: I have recently stumbled across this book on Wattpad called "Myocardium" (literally also a heart-inspired title, like WHAT??) The thing is, the story follows a similar storyline like Bison-Kant in this series (not related as far as I know and the story is not yet finished, but I have strong suspicions about the hidden agenda of the story). I don't want to spoil the story bc it'd not make sense if I just explained it like this, but the point is, the MC is literally a pr*stitute, and yet the author (Miraya or something like that) not once impliments a full-on s*x scene. The theme is so vulgar, and yet we get to see the bare emotions behind everything, not the graphic details. And the little details added every now and then only showcase the way the MC is absolutely blinded by the 'glimpse of freedom' the love interest shows him. The real reason behind it blends in more and more as the distrust slowly vanishes. Sounds familiar, right?? I believe this is exactly what they are trying with the series. Blinding both Bison and the audience with these scenes, to 'mask' the actual moral of the story, and I absolutely love that approach. I have always been fond of plots that require a second thought or another rewatch to really be like 'oh...OOOHHHH' and my hopes are super high for the remaining episodes.
It's always satisfying to to read/ listen to smart people make such good and deep analysis of interesting media specially interesting and complex queer media , you are being kind enough to spoon feed this different elements of the serie to those who lack the intelligence, critical thinking and brain capacity to understand or even digest complex storytelling specially when it comes to BL content and quer media in general. By far I'm really enjoying This serie and I'm having so much fun doing my own analysis of the storyline and each character construction , and I'm so excited for the upcoming episodes ✨✨✨✨✨✨
It may only be lust atm bcuz Kant and style aren’t looking for an emotional connection. Kant is being forced into it and style is given an incentive. Once the episodes progresses and they get feelings for eachother. We will see Kants inner turmoil. Fadel and style will probably have a heartbreaking scene when Fadel finds out why style perused him at fist. He will see it as betrayal. I think it’s too soon to judge
I can't express how glad im that people like here exist and UNDERSTAND the metaphors and the motive of the series..and i love that the director and writer chose to do sth unique and actually meaningful than making it just about emotions and relations...there are many more things beyond love and emotions..yes they r fundamental parts of life..bt things like capitalism and facades it brings with itself heavily influence how we perceive love, connection and emotion..
it's just another case of viewers not being able to understand that the characters are written to be "bad people" and that the relationships are built on lies that will likely need to come to the surface at some point. like the story barely started guys?? of course they are written to be flawed, how it plays out will be what you need to pay attention to
From the “soft corn” I watched I knew that Kant is using Bison so clearly that fadel somehow sensed it, literally agreeing to everything bison ask for just to get information. Poor style was in it for the car but somehow he slipped and forgot his purpose. Bison was fighting for his life to stop being a hitman with his brother. Fadel is cold to love because he was hurt and he doesn’t want his brother to feel the same, he is literally slowly opening up by every episode until he gave in to style pursuit. Even if you watched those part, you can still see the character and the plot behind it. That’s why I love the series, because they don’t use words to describe how they feel but they make their actions speaks louder, that IF you are the type to analyze their body language than sentences.
This is early in the story, we are just getting to know the protagonists. I am looking forward to seeing the life of the targets so we can judge if what the guys are doing is right or not. I want to see the philanthropy, galas and visits to the orphanages but also see the abuse of power, family, workers and greater society. 4 Minutes touched on this Great's (Bible's character) parents run a construction company in a glittering building in the heart of Bangkok, but then along with other powerful people run online gambling websites that is located on this deralict secluded part of Bangkok, the place stinks like a sweatshop. Gambling contributes to the degeneration of society and preys on the addiction of customers leading to poor and desperate choices. Due to his power Great's father was able to get government cctv footage pulled by the local police and Great avoided any criminal prosecution. I think this story would have been more gripping and taken more seriously if it had been cast differently. If this had not been a GMMTV production people could have come to it with fresh eyes and be a bit more open to the story. The inhouse style of casting longstanding pairs hinders the storytelling.
While I agree with most of your post, especially how underrated '4 Minutes' is, I am glad to see that JoJo recognized that these 4 young men had a lot more talent than they were previously allowed to show. Joong and Khaotung especially have shown that they can show emotions and make us feel things without using words and choosing different ways of using words to express their character's struggles and feelings. Joong's ability to express himself just using his eyes even causes me to forget the genetic lottery win his face is and focus on his character's struggle or expression of self. Khaotung's acting prowess first hit me in MLC with how he interacted with Earth's character and his portrayal of the grief his character felt following his Mother's death and his portrayal of Ray in Only friends was nothing short of brilliant. I also appreciate the sense of frustration and hints of sarcasm First is bringing to Kant's personality and the irony of him taking the name of a German philosopher (Immanuel Kant), who was at the center of the 'Enlightenment'. That is epic story telling by cast and director. Style is already picking up on Fadel's duality and Dunk is doing great at being as obnoxious as possible to keep Fadel off balance, but secretly thinking about that there is so much more going on behind Fadel's cold and handsome facade. So I am grateful that JoJo picked these 4 particular actors and their particular skills for his chaotic and cynical Quartet, established pairs or not. I am enjoying this ride and can't wait for more. And the people who are just watching this to see these couples kiss and hold hands do not deserve this kind of epic, gripping story telling in the first place and should go back to their High School/Uni First Love Soap Operas. And thank you all for having grown *ss discussions here, I'm enjoying reading everybody's input.
@@heartsamessgaultier8562I think that’s all true, but I also agree that people would be watching with a completely different perspective if BOC had produced the series. Each production company has an expected aesthetic. GMMTV is trying to break out of their box, but there will always be pushback from people who want predictability. When they watch a GMMTV series, they want to know what it will be. I can’t necessarily fault them for it, but I do heartily disagree with it.
@@heartsamessgaultier8562 I thought that with this series people would be more realistic when they see how bad Dunk acts, but it's the opposite. Being a character that acts "funny" they ignore his bad acting and keep praising him. Khaotung has shown great growth since Tonhon Chonlatee where I met him, First doesn't even need to be said, each character is excellent, Joong although he is doing well, has remained a cold character since he entered the GMM... and Dunk, still does not improve. The story of this series is great, and it doesn't only focus on the nc, there is a lot of history to see... but perhaps many don't take it seriously because they adore the 2 couples and support anything. I like it, but there are certain things that could have been handled better and as much as I try to watch Dunk, I just can't. A character can be funny, comical and embarrassing, but he gives a feeling of pausing the series and leaving it unfinished. Let's be serious, many BL actors need more acting classes and live the characters. You can hate me but it's the truth, a lot of love is sometimes just because of the physical appearance (and fanservice) of the actors.
Well I agree with the first part of your comment but disagree with the part were you say that the casting should be different , the casting is one of the things that they actually did right for this serie , specially joong , Khaotung and first are excellent actors who are doing an outstanding job in this serie , these 3 really can ACT and become their characters, everything they do, every movements is very detailed, they are specially good at communicating with their eyes and facial expressions, it's not their fault that people have a hate boner for gmmtv productions and are judgemental over everything that this company produce , and it's also not their fault that some people are unable to see beyond the longstanding pairs and ships , Joong , Khaotung , first and dunk are more than just a ship , and as I said specially joong, Khaotung and first are excellent actors who can stand alone beyond their ship , their acting alone is enough for me and for many people to appreciate them as the talented actors they are , I don't even think about the real actors behind when I watch fadel , bison and Kant it's like they became completely different people they actually become their characters, also as a company GMMTV is trying their best to compete with these other companies and for them to evolve and attract wider audience they need to produce a variety of series with more complex storytelling and characters and plots like The Heart killers they can't stay doing the same high school dramas , this transition is actually needed for them to evolve.
I liked this video essay. And I agree there is more behind thk than NC scenes. However, I'm not convinced the commentaries on capitalism match the intention of the writer or the director. Sometimes a burnt burger is just a burnt burger. Yes there is merrit to examining socio-economic markers, nuances and mirrors in media but the straining to look for "substance" points in order to "validate" a series is just as questionable as reducing a clearly well thought out series to NC scenes. That is not to say anything said here was wrong. It's more so my opinion that an essay retaliating against reductionist comments may fall prey to the fallacy of circular reasoning. I think a more authentic discussion could be had after all the episodes have aired and per the director and writers words. I agree with the character analysis however. Or at least the points where you mention that the characters each have carefully crafter masks.
This is an excellent video for viewers who just missed the entire point of the show. I don’t necessarily agree with all of the symbolism for capitalism completely but I do agree that it is show to a certain degree and that the NC scenes are part of the plot and deliberately portrayed the way they are for the viewers to understand the characters. Great review
to say this show is just corn is taking away the real value of it. this show is calculating. only those mature enough will see that this show was really thought out. the scenes everyone are disliking is supposed to be that way. the fadel and style scene in the store room.....that was all fadel. style just let him did whatever because he was curious to see where he would go. Finding his weak points. fadel literally let loose and led the whole thing still putting it off on style. only until the end style got into it. again, calculating. letting him take control just for curiosity and amusement.
Exactly... Because we know FirstKhao chemistry for real but here we can see Kant being calculative, artificial and Bison being the ultimate 'Anna' ignoring all those in his plain sight...well this is the plot. We don't even see Kant being a little guilty until 4th ep that too because Bison helped him with Babe's issue the only person Kant actually cares about
I think you're right... But (and maybe it's just too early to call it but) in the context of what BL is and has been right now, subverting these very established tropes in this way is creating mixed messaging that.... Doesn't translate well? On the other hand, I think my initial interpretation above also "begs the question" of the amount of media literacy that the average BL fan is taking with them when they consume this content. Like everyone is getting that it feels *bad* but they don't know why. Agh. It's such a delicate dance between the creators of the show and the viewer.
The difference between this and the current broadcast of Perfect 10 Liners is remarkable. P10L is boring repetitive BL with a predictable ending while this is better in so many ways.
Exactly, the heart killers is actually interesting and unpredictable, I really think that it also might have a sad ending for at least one of the two couples which is something different from the usual predictable ending for other series , we will see if my theory is true, I'm excited for the upcoming episodes
I don't even understand why people are hating this show... Yes, there may be scenes where a particular person may not like. For example, me! I don't like BDSM either.... But GMMTV can't write a story without having 0 haters at all... I don't know if this comment seemed rude, I'm sorry, I DIDN'T at all mean it in a rude way ;)
No rude at all! I think people are just wondering why the characters the want to love are acting morally grey and all red flaggish. But like that life lol
What a profound critique of this series! Is GMMTV aware of your forays in understanding and interpretation of their productions ?? I am impressed ! And subscribed at the same time 🌸💜
I love this show and even though it’s funny it’s still gritty. The characters are flawed and conflicting interests. Fadel is my favorite character in the show, Joong is awesome in the role.
I feel like a lot of younger fans (maybe the JD fans who didn't watch Only Friends?) are not aware that THK is made by P'Jojo who often includes mature aspects in his series, toxic relationships, sexuality, queer culture. Esp the queer culture one, in typical BLs its often just a typical romance plot but Jojo adds realism elements like in queer culture casual hookups are normal, not seen as something out of the norm. In queer spaces its not always about the epic romance and having a one true love and perfect fairy tale ending. This is something that I WISH straight BL fans would get and understand, not every relationship is perfect and paved with green flags. They should go watch Jojo's other series, like 3 Will Be Free, The Warp Effect, Friend Zone 1 & 2 and Only Friends. Messy toxic relationships/friendships, sexuality, and even morality comes into question in those series. Loved your video and also would like to recommend people look up The Taming of the Shrew and then go watch 10 Things I Hate About You, that will explain the dynamics of the characters. Fadel is Kat, Style is Patrick, and Bison is Bianca. It will all make sense when you get that Jojo based it on this Shakespeare play and the movie adaptation.
I feel like THK is using such a unique and different storytelling for BL that the conventional fans that came for the usual ended up leaving before letting the series even explain itself, damn even the plot to, idk unfold??. But I get that the fact that THK is giving everything so “easily” (as in nc scenes and whatnot) just leaves the viewer with an uneasy feeling, like not feeling sure of what to trust or expect. So I think you really have to step out of the conventional way of storytelling you’re used to when watching it, and I love thattt. Anyway to wrap up the yapping I loved your vid Blush, so happy to see someone pointing out what not everyone is seeing! ✨😍🫶🏼
I am a new subscriber, love your content, and I look forward to seeing more. I am personally in love with the heart killers. I love the 70s aesthetic(I see where the symbolism of the decade itself plays into the story), I love the plot as a whole, and I love the characters. I’m actually the most excited for Fadel and Style storyline, after watching episode four I definitely think that they are going to give us a lot of Prapai and Sky from Love in the Air energy, where I definitely think the heavy lifting in the intimacy and sensuality department will be done by them for the next 2 to 3 episodes. I think Fadel and Style is exciting to me because those characters genuinely need each other to find healing amd the sanctuary; they to me will foster and authentic relationship quicker than Kant and Bison. Fadel and Style appear drastically opposite however, they seem to be different sides of the same coin; I believe both of their characters are looking for acceptance. Fadel’s character is driven by duty and responsibility, being the older brother he’s had to do sacrifice, and make a lot of the difficult decisions for his brothers benefit. Bison seems more endearing due to his openness and fragility, but he’s allowed to be because his brother has always been there to clean up after his messes and keep their operation moving as smoothly as possible. He’s forced to employed a stoic demeanor, and relying on rigid control because someone has to be the responsible one; responsibility is not about what feels right, but doing what’s right. His feelings has never mattered in the grand scheme of things when it comes to balancing mothers high demands, and Bison emotional fragility. So unfortunately, that requires him to be selfless and keep his emotions in check, because his emotions could prove fatal to their survival. I’m sure Fadel would love to stay one place, do and be with whoever he wants but that would impede on their mission. Fadel may had to make the sacrifice of killing his lover, for the sake of their survival; a decision that he doesn’t regret, but still has to lives with the pain. Why? Responsibility is not about feeling but action. Fadel in a lot of ways is desperate for a safe space, where he’s able to express his wants, desires, and feelings without judgment without fear. Style’s expressive and open demeanor can allow Fadel a space where he’s able to express himself, allowing to engage in dialogues he’s craving. This will give him comfort to not just expressed himself but explore feelings that he’s been too afraid to explore; this gives him a little bit of selfishness, to reclaim parts of himself allowing him to be little more whole. While Style’s openness and persistence shows lack of self worth, Style cell value is wrapped up mainly in his looks and his erotic currency, he almost gives ugly duckling syndrome. Style first agrees to pursue Fidel, because he assume that his looks would be enough to entrap him. However, initially rejected the veracity that he pursues Fadel with comes from a need of approval. Fadel rejecting Style shakes him to his core because if he’s not good enough for Fadel then he himself isn’t good enough as a person. Style wants to be the prize in the relationship, allowing him to have a little bit of the upper hand. I think that’s why crop tops are so much a part of his wardrobe is because the article of clothing allows him to attract the validation he’s craving and trade on his erotic currency. Fadel now interest shows he wants an emotional connection with Style and I think with that emotional connection will allow Style to see that he’s more than just his looks, push Style to find more value in the other parts of himself. Style said “it’s OK to love.” in episode four, for Style; it’s ok to be loved and Fadel, for Fadel; it’s ok to want love. I see an episode four the foundation of a genuine connection, forming between the two in the barn, Fadel is taking initiative to express how he feels shamelessly and Style prioritize giving pleasure Fadel in those encounter instead of receiving it. I think the acceptance that they find with each other is going to allow you to find happiness with not just the relationship, but eventually themselves.
Who’s blind? Did They even watch it before They start yapping? The show has a great plot I became interested because of the plot and its FirstKhao and JoongDunk two of the hottest ships out there How can someone say it’s only about corn when and besides most of it is actually for the plot. Style persuading Fadel so Kant could investigate Bison. It perfectly fits the plot idk what these ppl are on. This show is My favorite show ever. And there were shows that show more spicy scenes than this what’s the problem
Not gonna lie i was very uncomfortable after ep 3, it was bordering into SA and i wanted to turn the ep off but i followed it through. All of ep 3 made me really uncomfortable and i couldn't place it into words but you made it make sense: that's what it's supposed to be. I was going to give up on the show with the way it felt like they were highlighting the non-consensual nature of Kant-Bison's scene and how a major portion of the comments found it either funny or hot when it was neither. I didn't feel like giving up on the series as i had been anticipating for months but now there's a reason to actually watch through it. awesome analysis!
I still don't understand Styles's motives. Last episode he tells Kant that maybe Fadel is a killer of some kind and he still wants to uncover the truth. I mean, why? What's it to you? Also, Kant and Captain are deliberately putting Style in a dangerous situation. At least Kant knows what he is doing, Style doesn't. Shouldn't the police captain advise not to involve more civilian's into it? Also the whole barging into the support group thing I didn't understand. Also, at this point I don't feel any emotional connection to Style. Kant has a brother and has had a hard life, Bison is slowly starting to get attached to Kant. Fadel cares deeply for Bison. what does Style care about? where is his vulnerability that as a viewer I can relate to? Maybe these are there and I didn't see them. I'm looking for explanations everywhere.
My take is style goes through life seeking validation which is hard to see because he looks like he doesn’t care about anything and just goes with the flow . but if his ego feels hurt, it becomes a defence mechanism. At first he just wanted the car but then he keeps getting rejected by fadel so now he basically wants to prove himself now, even though it doesn’t seem like he’s developed actual feelings for him yet. Hence the forced kiss and showing up everywhere. Even the part where he thinks fadel might be a killer will provide him a sense of relief if he can prove it because then at least he knows it’s nothing wrong with HIM. lol i’m sure he also cares about his friend a little since that would mean kant pursuing a guy who’s brother is a potential assassin.
@@BLblush24 Makes sense. Trying to prove themselves at the cost of their lives, such people do exist. However, it still makes me sad that Kant would do this to a friend. Looks like so far, his only and best friend.
I’m going to be really honest, I didn’t get ANY of what you just said from the first 3 episodes. I see a lot of people in the comment section talking about the plot and how people would be foolish to miss it, but foolish is me, because I took things at face value, and my initial thoughts were not even remotely close to your analogy. I thought the plot was simple, and I thought the characters were simple too. Of course I was able to gather their personalities and ulterior motives, but I never thought too much about the Nc scenes and how integral they were to the characters and the plot-well, not as much as you did. I understand where your capitalist analogy comes from, but I wish I knew if that was Jojo’s intention, or if that was just your interpretation. I see where you’re coming from for the most part, but I’ll have to disagree with the notion that Kant is purely pursuing Bison to save himself. I do think he has feelings for him, and that his feelings will become part of the conflict later on when Bison figures out he’s being used.
But I do like your analysis. I really appreciate that you took time to break it down because it’s refreshing to see a new point of view 👍 also because it flew right over my head 😭
Until now… Style had been the most interesting character in the show… he is in every sense unhinged, carefree, and unserious… and mind you he does that all for a car! Beyond veil of carefreeness… there is an insecurity, a need for validation. And he sees Fadel as a challenge… during the infamous kiss scene, it felt like he was getting slightly desperate… he has done everything in his power to seduce Fadel… and now he sees Fadel’s lack of interest as a personal failing… thats why he looks pleasantly surprised at the intensity with which Fadel’s facade cracks… I agree with your commentry…the lack of emotional depth is the point of the plot… it had been the case with only friends too there were some moments of acting intimacy placed in contrast with actual intimacy…the ones that tugged at audiences’ hearts were never the NC scenes…
😅The one they want is the cat series of 2025 which by the way I'm sure the plot isn't there... seriously, hearing cats talk what else, them going back to school series, allow them to have a strong series all because Eclips was their comfort film doesn't mean they such keep acting such i honestly thought the one they would criticize was only friends but O well. The plot of this series is strong and i can't wait for it to come back to bite Kant in the face 😂
Cats for cash is supposed to be a feel good story with little to no plot However, I think they will revise the scripts as they have always done to other pilot trailers
I think we both may be on the same page with this series... this series is got to many layers to it... and though they have really unusual NC scenes but only those kinds would have fit here in such a story which speaks of circumstances leading people to do certain things that leaves their reigns in the hands of the manipulators having authority and how that shapes up the 4 characters in this series... so far I am loving it as it is a series you need to put ur brains to in order to get the inner hidden stuffs that they have overshadowed with a story n NC scenes that may look like another series to common viewers who are in just for fun of watching a BL especially with 2 big duos of JoongDunk n FirstKhaotung.
Interesting take on the capitalism aspect and that is definitely there. I've spent more than half my adult life living & visiting Asia. There is an absolute honesty of "if I do something for you what will you do for me" (Business & relationships are all very transactional no judgement that's simply what I've seen to be true.) > This isn't just in Asia but it's expressed more clearly. In the West, it's more "acceptable" to not say the quiet expectation out loud so when we view it through a Western filter our view has biases that might cause us to take away different meaning(s). NC Scenes: Purity policing needs to stop. Truly, it's okay not to watch based on too many or too explicit NC scenes but I've seen many comments almost slut shaming viewers who enjoy this content (because it's PART OF LIFE). Any author/screenwriter knows a sex scene is a beautiful way to convey so much about the characters, their relationship, their place in the world, etc. So these NC scenes aren't "porn" they are crafted to give information about the characters. Blush has already done a great job exploring how the NC scenes connect to capitalism so I won't say much on that. I'm going to take them at face value. ((Full Disclosure: I'm someone who does have ropes attached to the corners of my bed for easy use. So I come from a position of experience on the BDSM side.)) The scene in the tattoo parlor where Bison slaps Kant... there's a bit of a shock from the second real impact. (First is AMAZING) We see Kant worried & concerned but fascinated by how Bison shows a very different side of himself. The scene on the bed: Kant has every emotion a person new to bondage would have: fear, mentally reassuring himself, worry, excitement & regardless of his mask/job Kant hands over his power. Power Exchange requires trust (even if he were doing the scene for ulterior reasons.). Khao allows Bison to show all of his excitement and care as he asks about Kant's safeword, asks if he is ready... his movements are slow and deliberate as a good Dom's would be in this situation. Also reinforcing what any sub will tell you Kant has all the power even as he gives it to Bison > because will stop with simply a word. In both these scenes, Kant was in pain, it hurt but First allowed Kant to show us it wasn't all bad and might even be causing some confusion. Fai & Style: Absolutely a way of distancing himself from Style > Keep it about sex only but it was also self-sabotaging any possible relationship. In the alone scene Fai showed us what was in his mind but he's not allowed to have that in his heart. So treating Style poorly afterwards is a way of setting boundaries not only for Style but for himself. ((Side Note: Sometimes adults have rough or sex in not the best way possible > so this was showing a more gritty side of reality. If you're all candles and soft music awesome but some times adults don't have perfect romantic sex... and everyone's idea of romance is individual as well.)) Again thank you Blush for taking the time to research and give us such interesting content and allowing us a place to explore our ideas. I hope I didn't insult anyone because that wasn't my intent. Many hugs, Z. Allora
Where these people come from who say this series has no plot If series contain nc scene that doesn't mean it did not have good story line First watch the whole show then decide If You dont like them dont watch but dont say that it has no storyline There were many things in the story how these characters handle the betrayal bgiven by their love what was the fadel past. First watch the series completely then decide The nc was only about a minute in each ep What do you think 59 min that left Offcourse there was storyline in that Nowdays some. People only knows how to type hate comments rather than appreciating the series
Because the serie is far from being about sex only and some of you all don't have the brain capacity to understand complex storytelling in queer media specially in BL content and she is being kind enough to spoon feed you all with some good analysis about the serie and opening a mature adult discussion, but hey if you want to be purposely immature and obtuse and if you want to stay in an state of pure ignorance just for the sake of keep hating in a piece of media you don't understand or even have the brain capacity to digest to begin with then go ahead I guess 🤷🏻♀️
@candycamacho9558 wait I'm just saying that she explains like a teacher okay first of all who gave u the right to judge me okay all of these points told were already understood by me before this video k I think heart killers it too good story line k so pls think twice before u write this long ash para k leta not fight I'm just saying in fun no harms k I understand and km it's not corn so pls mind it next time
The capitalism and globalization metaphor is a bit of a stretch. But the burger joint as a mask is pretty accurate, I think. I think the reason they picked a burger joint instead of what’s popular is because they don’t want to be popular. They want as few customers as possible. And it also shows just how much they don’t fit, how much they don’t belong there.
the capitalism part might be a bit of a stretch but the burger joint being used as a mask for the characters is clearly implied in the show. also don't underestimate jojo; he's one to put a lot of deep meaning into his shows.
Sorry but you are putting too much meaning into things that dont mean much, like burnt burger or so called brothers business Its far far from showing capitalistic world, its just a dining place purely managed, with bad kitchen
I don’t agree on the symbolism for capitalism completely but it’s there to a point. And the burger joint is definitely not just a burger joint. I take if for how it’s been presented so far as a front business for them to keep a low profile. That’s why it has bad service and no workers because they don’t want the interaction with customers that will gain them attention.
the capitalism part could be a bit of a stretch but the burger joint being a mask and not just a dining place is clearly implied in the show through multiple scenes. One being when Fadel gets mad at Style for bringing in more customers when the whole point of the joint is just to be used as a mask for their actual lives as assassins. Jojo usually puts a lot of thought into his shows so i don't think underestimating it is necessary
I think your capitalism metaphor is a bit of a stretch, although the added aspect of Kant being manipulated by the police is an excellent commentary on the social and economic inequality in society. I just don’t think it’s all about capitalism. However, imo, the rest of your analysis is spot on. We’re supposed to dislike, pity, relate to, and sympathize with all of the characters at different points. We see them struggle between what they have to do versus what they want to do. They’re all being controlled m, except Style who is doing it out of greed (at least, that’s all we know as of right now). It’s interesting to see the difference in reception between THK and Only Friends. OF had way more graphic sex (anyone remember Boston in a car…?), but people were raving about the toxicity and grittiness. There are also plenty of well-received series out there that have this sort of theme with sex being used as a tool. TharnType literally had one ML use sex (sexual assault even) to torment the other ML, and yet, it’s beloved by many. Love Sea was far more transactional than THK, with one character literally paying the other for it. His may be an unpopular opinion, but what’s different here is that the actual writing is that great. The dialogue is cringy, although it has gotten better since the first episode. It definitely reads like a wattpad fanfic. Jojo is a great storyteller, but he’s not amazing writer (from what I understand, he wrote the script). I think this gives the impression that the story itself is superficial and underbaked, which just isn’t true at all. I have mixed feelings about the series because of the many areas where it falls short: the dialogue, the sound design and editing, the pacing. But the story and storytelling are still excellent. Sorry for the TED Talk. I just think this is a really interesting conversation.
I think a lot of the viewers are thinking the whole video is about capitalism lol but it’s just a topic I chose for the first half of the video. Maybe I’ll organize the videos a bit better. Basically I wanted to highlight why these characters are morally grey because a lot people seemed upset that they couldn’t love a character as much as they wanted because they weren’t completely green flags (that’d be kind of boring in my opinion). Anyways, I love the ted talk comments!
@ Yeah, I think a lot of people blame capitalism for all the evils in the world. But that leads into a broader discussion about the role capitalism plays in the inequities and corruption in society. But I do love that a BL sparks those kinds of discussions. We’re seeing more and more series with deeper, more thoughtful ideas woven in. We need more videos like yours that look at BLs as actual storytelling instead of just basic entertainment.
I appreciate and enjoy your analysis but I am not seeing this depth in the series to this point. For me, the scenes seem gratuitous, but maybe the nc scenes are deliberately emotionless and flat? I had not considered that, as for me the story has not yet told us that. I don’t mind nc scenes that fit a compelling story. I am not convinced that is what we are getting here, but I will give the series a chance.
The nc scenes are missing the emotional background music and certain shots that make scenes feel like there’s deep emotions involved which makes me think it’s intentional. We’ll see as the story progresses if they change that!
@ I don’t like the theme of BDSM, drugging people, over the top gratuitous sex scenes, etc. I am not offended by adult content. I just find such content, in the absence of good storytelling, boring. The nc scene between Styles and Fadel was off putting. Styles has aggressively pursued Fadel, but then seems unengaged and mechanical in the scene. Of course, he is being used, but is the uncomfortable scene deliberate or bad acting/directing? Thank you for your video. I always enjoy your content!
I just feel like Dunk wasn't the right choice for Style's character, I feel like Dunk doesn't live his characters yet and his performances are always weak and unrealistic. Style got into Fadel's only safe place, beating him up deserves it, but everything about them just doesn't feel realistic.
@@GloriaLombardo10 I hate to say it, because I don’t want to be critical of Dunk, but there is something about the way he delivers some of his lines and scenes that immediately takes me out of what is going on. He is attractive and not a horrible actor, but he loses me. Less so, thus far in Heart Killers, but still happens. I do sometimes find Styles obnoxiously endearing, though. I think Joong is perfect as Fadel.
Here’s the thing: You may very well be correct about all of this, but the show simply has not done a good job at communicating the deeper levels of the plot and direction. We spend the majority of the time watching the couples flirt and just a few scenes show the motivations of the characters. First’s character seems to lack any remorse for his actions - he smiles the entire time and when Bison isn’t around as if he enjoys it. The majority of the time we see him, he is putting on a show. Three episodes in and I have no idea who this man is because he’s constantly pretending and lying. If he’s doing this for his brother, or for his freedom, or just for fun, I have no idea. It’s up to the shows directing and editing to communicate these things. As of right now, I am not enjoying the show. I do not enjoy the intimate scenes because there are people being lied to and manipulated throughout. I do not understand Dunk and First’s characters and why they are the way they are. Some of the plot feels like a mystery, but sometimes it just feels like they accidentally left parts out. Until the show itself actually provides the context you’re talking about, I really can’t enjoy it.
But that's the whole point, it's like you really didn't watch the video who explain everything you're complaining about right now, if you can't seem to understand this series and end up not enjoying it then don't watch it and do everyone a favour. A series who's complexe isn't supposed to be easy to understand, because that's the point of series like that, you need to use the emotions you feel when you watch it to understand the characters.
@ …what? Your comment doesn’t make sense. If you want your audience to understand something, you show them those things IN THE SHOW. I love mystery and complex storytelling. But this show doesn’t actually show many things mentioned in this video; this is all audience speculation. If this video was made by the director or something I may understand, but I should be able to watch the show and come to the same conclusion. They are not good at scattering these “clues” in the show for everyone to see. Also, I am not watching this show for YOUR enjoyment, so please keep your “if you don’t like it, don’t watch it” nonsense to yourself. You have an opinion about the show and so do I.
@@yourfriendlyneighborhoodsimand you want the serie to show the intentions of each of their characters when we are just in episode 3? , this serie is not for people obsessed with male romance , you want their characters to thrown their mask off and reveal every aspect of what they are thinking or feeling in the 3 first episodes? when there is still 9 or 10 episodes left , just because you are impatient and need to be spoon feed every little detail of a character or their intentions in order to understand what is happening so early in the show ? What happened with using your brain or critical thinking? Why do you want to be spoon feed so bad so early in the show ?, also why you need an male romance history between the characters/couples so early in a show in order to enjoy the complexity of a serie ? That sound pretty boring, All of what you say feels more like a YOU problem, this show is not for people who love to be spoon feed or for those who put male romance on top of their priority while watching a serie , you are clearly not the target audience for this show so do yourself and us a favor and stop watching and go watch some predictable serie with predictable characters and predictable ending that would make you comfortable enough to watch because you will at least know what to expect and save yourself from the distress and save us from the annoyence of having to explain to you that every serie have a targeted audience and that if something clearly doesn't work for you then you should just drop it and go for the type of series that are targeted for you or that are more of your preference 😂
@@yourfriendlyneighborhoodsim you shouldn’t have to be spoonfed the backstory and motivations of characters though. That’s what this series is doing right. It’s not a bunch of exposition dumps that outline the characters motivations… We, as the viewers ~should~ be confused and even frustrated with the questions that keep building as the series goes on. If the scenes we’ve gotten so far aren’t enough to get you to start asking questions and thinking deeper… that’s a you problem. Because all of the right elements are there. Everything you say is missing in the directing and editing is actually done cleverly. And, I mean… let’s be real. We *do* have enough insight into Kant to start to understand him and his motivations. Kant is a former car thief & criminal. He’s very clearly someone who has always had to look out for himself (and his brother). Of course he’s being selfish and remorseless. He has an end goal - to get his record expunged - and that’s what’s guiding him from the beginning. His journey will involve the conflict between that goal and the genuine feelings he’s developing for Bison. That first sex scene with him and Bison establishes that he isn’t the type to get tied down and one-night stands are his ‘safe’ way of meeting his own physiological needs & desires. There’s no deception between them that first time, either. It’s raw and passionate, but honest too. They are there for the same thing and frank about what they both want. And, c’mon, Rofl… do you think that sex is always intimate and loving? Or that it never involves the participants behaving in a less than savory manner or with questionable motivations? Not hardly. The sex scenes are telling the story as much as anything else. Fidel gives Style what he wants because he just wants to get rid of him because he’s clearly lacking the emotional capacity to connect with anyone besides Bison. He’s got trauma, and is pretty twisted up by it. The last thing he needs is to catch feels. It’s honestly mind boggling that you’re seeing none of what’s being done right for this newer kind of BL storytelling. I feel like you’re trying to build this negative narrative re: the shows ‘gaps’ to disguise the fact that you’re probably one of those people who think they have the right to police others enjoyment because it doesn’t fall into line with yours. If you’re not enjoying and understanding it by now, it’s clearly never going to meet your standards … honestly, just stop watching.
@ for someone who has so many complaints about my lack of understanding, you managed you misunderstand me so severely that I have no doubt you are wrong about the show as well. I have never said that my opinions should be the opinions of others. I have never said I will never enjoy it. I was providing commentary on the show just like others. If you say “don’t like, don’t watch” you are not an intellectual. You are someone who doesn’t want to hear bad things, which means you are not unbiased and looking at the show from all perspectives. If a show is actually good, it can withstand criticism without anyone saying “just don’t watch it so we don’t have to hear you.” If you want me to see your opinion as valid, maybe actually read what I’m saying and don’t decide my opinions for me just like you are absolutely doing for the show as well. I’m not going to debate with someone who insults me as a way to make their point and what you said at the end is absolutely an insult. Everything else you said became worthless when you assumed things about my character based on my feelings about a BL. Have a great day.
To me it's too hard to think of any of the leads as badass killers and criminals. Well, maybe First, but seriously -- Dunk? Kaotung? Hilarious. I could barely make it through the trailer, let alone a single episode. The fact that GMMTV has packed it full of NC scenes only tells me that they had the same concerns.
1. first and dunk are not k1llers in the series. 2. the character that khao plays must give the vibes of someone tender but with a dark side. 3. if you talk about the NC scenes there are not many for the moment there have only been 2/3 (even if there were more I don't see the problem). you haven't even watched the series and you think you can give a normal opinion on this....
I would really like to know which trailer you watched to be able to define Dunk's character as a k1ller, I mean Style is the character most outside the plot of the k1llers in the whole series...
and let me also say that khao is doing a great job with bison, Bison was forced to k1ll he doesn't do it because he wants to do it and he says several times that he wants to live a normal life
?? i don't think it's fair to give an opinion on the show when you obviously haven't watched it because neither style nor first's characters are killers... and khaotung not looking like a killer is... an important part of the plot... it's what helps him get away with what he does.
Wow..thank you for your analysis. Yes!! Finally some proper adult analysis! I almost skipped your video tho bcz of the thumbnail. I thought you will talk about how hot it is 😅 I loved your analysis of the characters. That is exactly how they are and so many people are failing to see things beyond "nc scenes". Some bl fans want the same type of stories where the characters flirt and then fall in love and then kiss. This is a really adult series where sex and identities work as motivations of the actions of our characters. Aboit the intimate scenes idk what they expect. Kantbison were literally having a one night stand where they refused to even exchange names and they are looking for intimacy there???? Like howw 😂 And fadelstyle intimate scene was cut and dry for the same reason. It was nail and bail. Sex is a real power tool in life do people not know?? 😅😅
It is very rare for someone to give such a deep analysis of a show which seems plotless on the surface. I honestly never noticed these many details in it. Thanks for the video🫶🏻🫶🏻
I totally agree with your perception about the plot of the series, and I think those comments are coming too soon, I mean it's ep 3 😅 In my opinion it makes no sense to judge the series like this, I mean, it's clearly a series for an adult audience, they want to see the characters all lovey-dovey, but that is not the vibe that the series should have, it does not go with the entire plot, at least not in ep.3
It's kind of creepy how it tells you your IP address, location and internet provider at the top of the screen. Anyway NordVPN is still 73% off is still on! bit.ly/3B7C35z get those dramas!!
Are we watching the same three episodes? Because NO it’s not just CORN every scene. Are people even paying attention to the plot??? 😭
They think there’s no plot 😭
Actuallyyyy, I get so pissed when I see those kinds of comments😭🙏🏾
That’s just absurd.
media literacy is dead
@@michellee.l9079 💯
True. While the assassins are way more emotional.
you all forgetting kant is a ex criminal too , like he is an ex car thief , him having some of these traits like being good at lying and manipulation is expected that is why the captain keep forcing him to work for the police in these cases , captain chris mention that he knows kant can do the job better than a cop practically because he is good at this and his not morally correct person anyway, also people keep forgetting that he is being blackmailed by that cop and forced to go on different dangerous missions since the cop is threatening him with re opening his old car thief cases which will send kant to jail and that will cause him to be separated from his little brother, little brother who happens to be a teenager who has no one but kant to take care of him , i bet his little brother is the reason why kant stopped his criminal activities in the first place and the reason why he is trying his best to clean his criminal records, actually he has the most valid reasons in this serie to do the things his doing also all he knows about bison and fadel is that they are dangerous assassins , in the other hand the 2 brothers have being brainwashed by their adoptive mother to work for her in this assassin profession and family business, they crearly do NOT want to be killers or live their whole life killing people and both have tried to go out of this family business and quit this job , even fadel did as showed in the last episode , he dated a guy in the past and he tried to get out off this asassin job and family business , he wanted to quit too but after something happened with that guy , they talked about a loss , he changed his mind and and bison is currently trying to quit but fadel is preventing him from letting him speak with their mother about it, he knows quitting is no an option for them or at least something that is hard to do be because fadel himself tried to quit before but couldn't also their mother seem very toxic and manipulative type of mother, she keeps forcing them to do this horrible job , and brainwashing them into thinking they are doing good to society by killing this rich politician men who come across as good people in front of the public eyes while committing crimes behind close doors , and well style is just a goofy kinda annoying and stalker ish guy, i don't expect him to be morally correct person either because there is a reason why he is kant's best friend even kant mention that in episode one , all 4 characters are complex characters they are not entirely bad people but also are NOT morally correct people either , life is not black and white , everyone has a reason valid for them at least , to do and act the way they do , but if you ask me dispite being the most hated character at the moment, I think kant has the most valid reasons right now to do what he is doing , because he is doing this mission as his life depends on it , to clean his criminal record and leave his past illegal activities behind in order to give his little brother a better life and to avoid getting into jail which ultimately will ended up forcing him to be separated from his little brother who is his priority, and the person who he wants to protect the most and will do anything for also he is working for the police who are suppose to be the good guys because no matter how charming fadel and bison are being presented in the serie they are still assassins and are not the innocent victims some people want them to be , they are not entirely bad people but they are not the good guys either . no one in this serie is entirely good or bad , they all have been doing questionable things , and have their fair amount of red flags .
4 Minutes, Love Sea, etc…)
Silly on my part, seeing that the ‘purity police’ are everywhere… I’m so very tired of these kids that are to young, too naive or too ignorant to comprehend that sex is a part of real life.
Ate 🔥 thank you for voicing our thoughts in such a good way
You ate with this comment and I totally agree 💯 , actually I find this purity police the most annoying type of BL fans , actually the most ignorant type of people , most of them have not the brain to understand complex storytelling in BL , they live in a fantasy were they don't even know or understand how real relationships and normal human and sexual interactions work in real life specially when it comes to the queer community, this purity police people are so out of touch with reality that I feel kinda pity for them , and left me wondering how these people can even survive in the real world , how can they going through life when they are so afraid of something as normal and natural as sex 😂
😮😮😮 I see it now!!
@@leilatimeful I mean, I love of people loved that scene.
I feel like THK has a great plot right now and I can’t wait to see more. I can definitely see why people think the whole series is about sex but it’s kinda deeper than that.
At least in my opinion.
People who say it's shallow are actually shallow themselves, so they can't understand what the story is about, they can't even see the story.
@s8k5ull exactly...i think they should know what they r getting into before passing comments...
@@arminislam6805 Rightttt 💯 and The cut version probably can show more of the plot
I'm curious to know how things will progress
You made really nice points in this analysis, I did not make the association with capitalism but now the nagging in my brain that I was missing something has been answered, so thanks!
I loved this video
I agree with everything and it's interesting for me how people forget that not only Kant is covering himself under a mask but Bison also does, as he doesn't know Kant already knows about his secret job, and actually no one is being authentic here, therefore the s3x scenes can't feel personal or warm, because they're not supposed to be personal or warm when we're all faking to protect ourselves
MAKE MORE DRAMAS LIKE THIS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD..DRAMAS NEED TO BE VERSATILE AND ACTUALLY ADDRESSING TO REAL LIFE ISSUES
@@candycamacho9558 Exactlyyy. They should just watch the cut version if they feel uncomfortable with the nc scenes.

You probably haven't played it, but in the game
Dragon Age Origins, there's an assassin sent to kill your main character. As a character, he's very flippant
about sex and intimacy. In his case sex became a survival tool and also a form of currency. When done well,
which I think is true in the case of THK, characters like these always try to determine the exchange rate. I
appreciate your take on this. Good job!
I am thoroughly enjoying THK. I can’t wait for the next episode each week. I don’t understand people who can’t appreciate or accept that a drama can have a quality plot, quality acting, and be heavy on the NC content at the same time.

Keep it up, I feel you're going places with this fresh and frank analysis of our weird, but fascinating niche in entertainment culture.
i think people are too quick to clutch their pearls and become selectively blind to what really goes on in the show. the characters are layered and morally complicated. the show is not for comfort. the characters are not comfortable, their problems are not comfortable. unmasking is highly uncomfortable
to add: how incredibly pivotal the moment where we learn that fadel has been going to a grief support group and how crudely style invades that safe space- the NC scene that follows and how violently they parted is an answer to that violation of boundaries, respect and privacy that style did on fadel. it's amazing fadel didn't kill him
I thought of this but never really knew how to put it in words.. you explained it perfectly!
Dude, i knew the plot itself was unique and interesting..bt this video analysis MADE ME LOVE IT EVEN MORE..THNX FOR POINTING OUT THE DEPTH AND MEANING OF EACH SCENE
As you were talking about capitalism and the burger joint, RUclips cut to a commercial for the Wall Street Journal, kind of funny and scary at the same time🤷🏻♂️
Same but I got an ad of oreo
i really do love jojo's shows, i think they're always so interesting.
@@Stylo00o 💯
Agree 💯
If you haven’t yet check out 3 will be free, same director/screenwriter, it has some similarities in depth. I think I’m going to slowly work through his series because of how much I liked 3 will be free and the heart killers.
I would add that even the comments are transactional because you as a viewer wants your time, attention, expectations worth it and when you're not satisfied you find faults in the ''product'' and bashed it so it can get less views demonstrating your power over the series. A beautiful continuation of the capitalism.
Haha yeah this could go on forever, it’s truly in everything.
Gracias, no puedo creer ya haya personas quejándose con solo 3 episodios, sospecho solo quieren ver fluffy BLs. Además las actuaciones de los 4 están excelentes, mis respetos para todo el cast y el staff detrás.
Excuse me it actually has a plot maybe people need to pay attention to the story rather than the so called hot scenes🤦🏻♀️
Like there so many questions to be answered in the future episodes like “ Why is Fadel scared to be committed into a relationship?” and “ What made Mother start her so called mission of assasinating people with power?” and this is why THK is very interesting
Your analisis covered some questions I was wondering about (specifically about the Burger business) and others I didn't ( the mask theory).
you really opened all the facts that even i felt when i was watching the show ... its amazing show and i look forward to it
I'm honestly more intrested in the storyline the plot is so good
Thanks for your input about The Heart Killers, it's always great to have people who are able to think and who are not solely driven by their emotions/taste and own expectations about a series.
Okay, so I know this might sound kind of unrelated, but I feel the need to share bc my fellow bl-story readers will understand:
I have recently stumbled across this book on Wattpad called "Myocardium" (literally also a heart-inspired title, like WHAT??)
The thing is, the story follows a similar storyline like Bison-Kant in this series (not related as far as I know and the story is not yet finished, but I have strong suspicions about the hidden agenda of the story).
I love this show and how they made the plot more interesting day by day. Love the scenery and the characters. Good, handsome and talented actors.!!!!
Emotionless cold nc scenes are creative choices and those are what selling the plot to me😅😅
This is early in the story, we are just getting to know the protagonists.
I love fadel ❤❤
I wish more people can listen to this, very well detailed analysis
Wow the in depth critical analysis I needed. I don’t know how people are missing the plot. What the hell are they watching.
Are you secretly a analyst? Because the way you summarized this and categorized the characters and giving their stories are so good
Finally. People watching shows with MEDIA LITERACY 🎉❤
the comments literally irk me so bad
thanks for this! really great analysis
And he sees Fadel as a challenge… during the infamous kiss scene, it felt like he was getting slightly desperate… he has done everything in his power to seduce Fadel… and now he sees Fadel’s lack of interest as a personal failing… thats why he looks pleasantly surprised at the intensity with which Fadel’s facade cracks…
I agree with your commentry…the lack of emotional depth is the point of the plot… it had been the case with only friends too there were some moments of acting intimacy placed in contrast with actual intimacy…the ones that tugged at audiences’ hearts were never the NC scenes…
Cats for cash is supposed to be a feel good story with little to no plot
However, I think they will revise the scripts as they have always done to other pilot trailers
Excellent commentary!!!
Thank you 😊
I think we both may be on the same page with this series... this series is got to many layers to it... and though they have really unusual NC scenes but only those kinds would have fit here in such a story which speaks of circumstances leading people to do certain things that leaves their reigns in the hands of the manipulators having authority and how that shapes up the 4 characters in this series... so far I am loving it as it is a series you need to put ur brains to in order to get the inner hidden stuffs that they have overshadowed with a story n NC scenes that may look like another series to common viewers who are in just for fun of watching a BL especially with 2 big duos of JoongDunk n FirstKhaotung.
Just absolutely perfect 👌 💯
Totally following you
Interesting take on the capitalism aspect and that is definitely there.
So I come from a position of experience on the BDSM side.))
The scene in the tattoo parlor where Bison slaps Kant... there's a bit of a shock from the second real impact.
If you're all candles and soft music awesome but some times adults don't have perfect romantic sex... and everyone's idea of romance is individual as well.))
Again thank you Blush for taking the time to research and give us such interesting content and allowing us a place to explore our ideas.
I hope I didn't insult anyone because that wasn't my intent.
Many hugs, Z. Allora
this was excellent. thank you
Where these people come from who say this series has no plot
If series contain nc scene that doesn't mean it did not have good story line
First watch the whole show then decide
If You dont like them dont watch but dont say that it has no storyline
There were many things in the story how these characters handle the betrayal bgiven by their love what was the fadel past. First watch the series completely then decide
The nc was only about a minute in each ep
What do you think 59 min that left
Offcourse there was storyline in that
Nowdays some. People only knows how to type hate comments rather than appreciating the series
yay at last intelligent commentary delving deeper into a story than people doing the nasty.😀🥰
Ever since Playboyyz everything seems pretty tame to me. lol
I disagree with the capitalism part
I'm just here for the storyline
Okay why does it fell like ur trying to prove that it not🌽 by stating facts like a economic teacher huh
Because the show is not about sex 😅
Because the serie is far from being about sex only and some of you all don't have the brain capacity to understand complex storytelling in queer media specially in BL content and she is being kind enough to spoon feed you all with some good analysis about the serie and opening a mature adult discussion, but hey if you want to be purposely immature and obtuse and if you want to stay in an state of pure ignorance just for the sake of keep hating in a piece of media you don't understand or even have the brain capacity to digest to begin with then go ahead I guess 🤷🏻♀️
@candycamacho9558 wait I'm just saying that she explains like a teacher okay first of all who gave u the right to judge me okay all of these points told were already understood by me before this video k I think heart killers it too good story line k so pls think twice before u write this long ash para k leta not fight I'm just saying in fun no harms k I understand and km it's not corn so pls mind it next time
@Khandiee ik just said in a funny way

I don't think the creators had such deep meaningful thoughts behind the burger joint 😂
agreed😂😂
The capitalism and globalization metaphor is a bit of a stretch. But the burger joint as a mask is pretty accurate, I think. I think the reason they picked a burger joint instead of what’s popular is because they don’t want to be popular. They want as few customers as possible. And it also shows just how much they don’t fit, how much they don’t belong there.
the capitalism part might be a bit of a stretch but the burger joint being used as a mask for the characters is clearly implied in the show. also don't underestimate jojo; he's one to put a lot of deep meaning into his shows.
Thank you!
Sorry but you are putting too much meaning into things that dont mean much, like burnt burger or so called brothers business
Its far far from showing capitalistic world, its just a dining place purely managed, with bad kitchen
It’s okay to not agree, thanks for the comment!
@@GloriaLombardo10couldn’t disagree more
Here’s the thing:
You may very well be correct about all of this, but the show simply has not done a good job at communicating the deeper levels of the plot and direction.
If a show is actually good, it can withstand criticism without anyone saying “just don’t watch it so we don’t have to hear you.”
If you want me to see your opinion as valid, maybe actually read what I’m saying and don’t decide my opinions for me just like you are absolutely doing for the show as well. I’m not going to debate with someone who insults me as a way to make their point and what you said at the end is absolutely an insult. Everything else you said became worthless when you assumed things about my character based on my feelings about a BL.
Have a great day.
Go off!!!!
But the NC scenes are part of the plot of the show. How did you miss that?
1. first and dunk are not k1llers in the series. 2. the character that khao plays must give the vibes of someone tender but with a dark side. 3. if you talk about the NC scenes there are not many for the moment there have only been 2/3 (even if there were more I don't see the problem). you haven't even watched the series and you think you can give a normal opinion on this....
It may or may not be corn. But its poor story, acting and boring. Will not continue watching it.
Bye then
Now you lying for the sake of lying 🤥 you and your annoying and pathological lying self would be not missed at all here 😂
@zahrabjinu Okay
Wow..thank you for your analysis. Yes!! Finally some proper adult analysis! I almost skipped your video tho bcz of the thumbnail. I thought you will talk about how hot it is 😅
I loved your analysis of the characters. Like howw 😂
And fadelstyle intimate scene was cut and dry for the same reason. It was nail and bail. Sex is a real power tool in life do people not know?? 😅😅
It is very rare for someone to give such a deep analysis of a show which seems plotless on the surface. I honestly never noticed these many details in it. Thanks for the video🫶🏻🫶🏻
I totally agree with your perception about the plot of the series, and I think those comments are coming too soon, I mean it's ep 3 😅
In my opinion it makes no sense to judge the series like this, I mean, it's clearly a series for an adult audience, they want to see the characters all lovey-dovey, but that is not the vibe that the series should have, it does not go with the entire plot, at least not in ep.3
