  • Benedict Canyon (North)
    Los Angeles
    Episode 17
Benedict Canyon is less mentioned than the neighboring canyons, but this stretch of Benedict Canyon is a good peek at how the other half lives as it is home to a bevy of current celebrities and was the home to a previous crop of celebrities that included Cary Grant, Jimi Hendrix, Robby Krieger, Jack Lemon, Harold Lloyd, George Reeves, Gene Simmons, Bruce Springsteen, and Sharon Tate just to name a few.
This trip starts from the Sunset Strip with a short drive to Beverly Hills where we cut through the famous Beverly Hills Hotel to arrive at the base of Benedict Canyon where we head north through the canyon which brings us to Mulholland Drive and our final stop where we veg out at the Mulholland Scenic Overlook facing north.

I see the Manson Murder/Sharon Tate property! That was a beautiful house, it's too bad they tore it down and rebuilt that monstrosity instead.

agreed...the house and property were so charming. but considering the history, it really couldn't have continued...had to be torn down. OTOH, the new house is absolutely hideous and too typical of CA teardowns.

They should rename it shrub city. I've never seen so much vegetation. Bushes trees ivy shrubs. Good grief. And homes too close. I'd suffocate.
