Sorry about the noise in the workshop guys! Can’t be helped. Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed! Watch until the end where I take it out for a quick spin 😃🔥
@@ICEJosh1987 we only have 2 clip on mics - so had to resort to a powered Rode shotgun mic. But there was so much noise coming from other parts of the warehouse.
I don't think I've ever seen such a clean workshop garage! The look on your face when you accelerated was a joy, I think you are well chuffed with the work they have done! Enjoy!
Thanks for sharing Gary. Quality footage, nicely presented and a fine introduction to the FJRS guys and the services they provide (for those living in England). Great to see the joy on your face; it's like you've got a new car with it properly sorted now!
I love the in car camera everytime you floor it you physically see the back end squat down from the power. The deeper sounds even better than before, quite a menacing sound to it
@@CarFocused Definitely. They serviced my car last year, and the year before, and even told me about an exhaust manifold gasket I'll need changing. They're great. Can't wait to service again in the summer. Great video Gary- been following you for ages now. Keep up the incredible work.
Great video and good to see the RS going well. I have a mk3 RS m400x, the forged engine which Fred and Jonny did for me as well as a Golf R m52 which has had lots of work done. The boys at fjrs, really are awesome. Their knowledge, service, and quality of work is second to none, I would highly recommend them for all things Ford and VW.
Thanks for your feedback Simon - It seems that they certainly have a decent following of loyal customers - glad to hear your RS is still going strong 💪🏻
Great video, really good to see what’s happened with Mountune is not affecting the servicing and modifying. Pleased you’ve got the car running well and I trust it never cost you too much. Shame you cut the test drive short. 👍🏻
i had the same issue with my car about 2 years ago. Massive plumes of smoke out the back and a horrible rotten egg smell. Only difference with yours is mine wouldnt start up again after turning off the ignition. towed it to the garage and they said it was the body control module 🤷♀️ wonder if they just said that as it was a more costly repair than was actually required
@@CarFocused no idea to be honest but after watching your video I'm going to have a look as the car still has the original exhaust on so should be easily noticeable. All i can say is when i picked it up from the garage it ran perfectly haha
Think I’m having the same issue with my st225, was you getting a slight misfire when stationary aswell as the loss of power?. Mine has kind of muffled the sound I have the rotten egg smell and when I ease the power in it’s fine, when I boot it tho it’s down on power.
Johny is a top bloke 👍 Have u thought about having a mountune cat back. Had one on my mk2 ST & now on mk3 RS, no drowning. Just awsome sound when u gun it 😎
@@CarFocused remap before i think, dont’t you? Mountune airbox and plenum are on the car, exhaust too. 550 injectors + fuel pump and a good intercooler = ~380 very reliable bhp
@@CarFocused ah saw ur comment about fuel pumps. In Russia we put a dw65c pump in standard ford focus pump station (20500luc1 visteon). Works very well, fuel pressure doesn’t drop much on a peak of boost
That background noise in the shop was so annoying, but the last part made up for it 😉 A cat's internals are like a honeycomb and when it breaks down the particles block that comb and massively restrict airflow hence lack of power. Great decision to go for a 200 cell cat and 3 inch down pipe which obviously increases airflow and power, but may I suggest you opt for a 3 inch pipe from cat back as you got 3 inches of airflow running into 2 inches of back pipe which will effect the airflow, just a thought😉
I did ask Fred this question in the video - he said it’s won’t make too much of a difference - I’m really keen to retain the OE cat back exhaust. As for the noise in the workshop - yes it was annoying 😂
@@CarFocused There's an old saying that get as much air in the front and as much out the back = more BHP But as I said there's a buffer going from 3 to 2 inch pipes. I know it sounds trivial but it's the same as having the internal ports polished on your plenum it all helps with airflow. 😉

Don’t recall a misfire mate just no power but loads of cat particles all over the back bumper - look like little fibres when you shine a torch on it.
you dont gain extra performance from the symphoser delete, just reliaibility
