    Hi! You have inspired me to get my fishing license. I went to Emerald Bay the last 2 days and it was so much fun. I snagged a nice fish on a lure after about 200 casts, but I did it. I'm hooked, and I love your channel.

      Right on. That's great. I know it almost seems impossible to catch something after so many casts with nothing but when a good one strikes the adrenaline rush is awesome. Even when I don't catch something down in Emerald bay, spending the day down there with so few people around is fantastic. Glad you got your license and fortunately, these days, a CA license is good for a year from the date of purchase. I have tons of fishing for you to explore in videos across my channel playlists. Hope the information helps you to have a great year of fishing.

    Those white caps in the background, make Lake Tahoe the most iconic ocean in all the mountain ranges! Along with your natural depth gauge, scouting depths with every cast! You will go down in History! The great Smiling Scout!

      Right on. There were big waves out on the main lake. I'm almost glad I forgot my waterproof pants at home because if I had them, knowing me, I'd be out on the boulders getting blasted by waves! Sheltered bay was much easier to deal with.

      Yeah, there are going to be be some big ones in the net this winter hopefully. They are stocking them all over. Prosser creek Reservoir is full of them. I have an ice fishing clip on that playlist at Prosser and it was one after another. I hope that freezes up good this Winter. I have a clip om my lakes and reservoirs fishing playlist where I get a real nice one at the Stampede Reservoir Dam.

      Right on. I have so many fishing locations across my channel playlists it would take the average viewer decades fish them all. I pressed hard to get a large number of locations up before my channel grew a lot and continues to grow. I think I have over 6 dozen locations on my backcountry fishing playlist alone and I have the hikes to a lot of those on my hiking playlist. . I'm always seeking out new lakes and rivers. If you only have a couple chances a year to hit the mountains to fish my channel playlists could go a long way towards helping you, or any other viewer, make the most of it. I have a bunch of spots on my lake Tahoe shore fishing playlist but seeing anyone fishing when I'm out there is very rare. I see the charter boats way out there and coming into Emerald bay but that's about it.

      @ you fish public land and should share it to the public! This is OUR resource and you manage it legally and ethically. Good job sir we appreciate it! Continue showing how great fishing is in California and Nevada and let’s grow the sport for future generations.

    Burrrr! Glad to see some of those LCT are surviving Mack predation.

      That wind was brutal! Yeah, I figured when they stocked them a lot would end up as food for browns and Macks but they seem to be doing all right. They are up in the tributaries as well so they are reproducing unless they put some up in those as well.

      Right on. I spotted an area on the other side when I was hiking out that looked fairly deep. It's a long hike out there but I have to try it. It's shallow in the entrance of the bay so I want to probe that side more to find deeper channels where the fish move in and out. Let the hiking and snow shoeing begin!

    • @wildernesswithamani1027
      @wildernesswithamani1027  Месяц назад

      That wind was brutal and harsh! It wasn't as bad as it would have been on the main lake. It was a storming sea with waves crashing up on the boulders at one of the regular spots I fish. I'm glad I forgot my waterproof pants because I don't have enough good sense in me not to try to fish in that sort of madness!

    Hi Amani. Is there any chance you might be able to hit up Caples Lake in the next week? Would give me a good idea if it’s with the 4hr drive to go up there.

    • @wildernesswithamani1027
      @wildernesswithamani1027  Месяц назад +1

      I am going to try to squeeze in more river fishing this week. I just fished the East Carson River near Markleeville for my Patreon this week and the fishing was great. It's getting cold up there so the lakes will be turning over soon. If caples is too far to chance it maybe something on my lakes and reservoirs fishing playlist would be closer and less of a gamble. I have dozens of lakes to fish on there.

    Hey Amaniiiiii !!!, what remote , high alpine,secluded lake ,with fush can I go for a solo trip up there at tahoe...thanks bud!...I want to use you're wholly bugger technic ty bud 😊

      I was going to try to go to Eagle lake above there on the Eagle Falls trailhead but it looked like there could be snow and ice on the trail. I didn't look. I fished there for my Patreon several weeks back and I hit some real nice rainbows. There's nice browns and brookies in there as well. That's only a one mile hike so if it's a bust and you can't make it safely or the lake is already iced over it won't be that big of a deal. You can just go fish in Emerald Bay below.

    You always show that where ever you fish there are fish to be caught regardless of weather conditions.

    • @wildernesswithamani1027
      @wildernesswithamani1027  Месяц назад +1

      I am willing to grind it out anywhere in most weather except for a muddy river or a river with ice floating in it. A muddy river or a river that has slushy ice floating in it are bridges too far for me!
