The k5lla is my favorite of all. I’ve always liked the strong sound that it has
I agree and it's also my favorite as well!
Same here!
Who else laughed at that quill he was doing at 0:46
same
Kazoo kid
I plead guilty
me
AmCalJojo459 and I can kazoo!
i bet his neighbors never get tired of that! personally i need me a few train horns on my car
No they don’t they belong to trains
If he lives near Railroad tracks Then he Neighbors Realy probably doesn’t care.
@@jacobhalegeorgia290 well they not all train horns belong to trains you know some of them can go on semi trucks and they're not usually a five chime they're usually like a three chime or four chime
same here
Awesome K5LLA horn, love the K5LA horn too!
It's a lot like a BNSF horn at 0:07!
I like how the horns are so powerful that they knock themselves over
Yea
I love the older wave of K5 LA air horns. The new wave kind of sounds like an ehorn almost like it's supposed to be programmed to sound the same and never change
3:53 Terrible joke about an xbox
i think you mean 3:50
You should hear what that Xbox sounds like today
I am very aware, it sounds horrifying, like robotic goose sex
XD
@@pnwferry-nerd2486 that sounds more like my ps4
First gen K5LAs are magic.
Yeah quilling a horn is nice, but try setting up the camera half a mile away and blowing the damn things!
I'm absolutely fascinated with this information lately.
Grew up hearing trains all my life, still hear them daily (but especially nightly as the sound seems to carry better at night!)
It's like music.
And as a music lover and a singer, I've always been able to separate the notes on my head, and hear the harmonies in the train horns....
But recently I discovered there were different models of horns, being the reason they all sound a bit different.
And NOW, I realize, not only the horn, but the operator of it/engineer/whomever is making beautiful music coming through my town daily, that person is ALSO responsible for the variations!
This apparently is an art, just like any sort of music.
Oh! And another such video taught me that there are certain patterns for various crossings and locations and what not-- haven't learned those yet-- but coupled with the type of horn, and the person operating it, that's just another component to the music!
I have five year old and two year old grandsons who are absolutely enamored with all things railroad. I hope we can all learn together to appreciate the train 'whistles', and maybe even learn to identify some of them together! 🚂🎶💖
3:54 is that Amtrak 156’s old horn
Good video, Spencer. That K5LLA can have a straight up competition with the RS5T.
0:46. *insert sad horn noises*
Egadz BLOW the darn things ... I hate the feathering to get the bells sounding ... Give it the FULL blast that's when the sound the best ... That's the way the K5LA was meant to be blown and heard .... : o) They do sound good though ....
I agree, just BLOW them like they were meant to be
Got to love how foamers position their camcorders RIGHT NEXT to their horns so the audio peaks into the red each time. Love this hobby...
You’re the last person that has room to call someone a foamer 😂
i'm pretty sure they peak anything within 300 feet anyway
Totally loud and cool you done an excellent job...some were low in pitch too..Awesome thank you. For your videos and everything you do..
2:34i bet his neighbors are not going to get tired of this horn that sounds like a siren
0:45 that is the funniest quill ever
Thanks for the demo.
1:09 from a toaster
if i heard this i woukd never get tired of it
This is an old video. But I have k3la and just ordered the k5lla so excited to hear it in person
beautiful sounds
I'll say, K5LA horns is one of the Amtrak trains horns 🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺🚅🚅🚅
0:43 the famous sound of the Amtrak Wolverine
The K5H was used for the Half-Life 2 Razor train horn
I Like Your Horns!
That K5LLA sounds sharp! Also that K5LA at the end sounds impressive @ 4:51
I need to install on of those on my van so when people want to cross in front of me when they don't have the light just one toot is all I need to make my day and drop their hearts out their asses.
Escalation of a Phat jazz chord with that progression of horns adding on, and then the loud blast from hell of all of them in a chord blues. That..or a train horn
I’ve always thought they should put these on planes. 🛬
They can honk at the birds 🦅 📢✈️
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! #K5LA!!!!!!!!!
I like how you make the sound weird at first like their broken then you just full on blast it.. 😂
What air setups are you running? that K5LLA sounded powerful
The 1st thing that comes to my mind with the K5LLA is the norfolk southern heirtege units
Nice video.
I love the K5LLA, wish I could hear it more often
Tbh that looks fun as hell
Your the best RUclipsr ever
0:46 the k5la sounded like a rubber chicken a little
1:45 i couldn't believe my ears

That K5H sounded a lot like the hybrid K5LAs on the American Flyer.
And Acela
@@illinois_missouri_fanatic Acela is the name of a Railroad Route ran by Amtrak. The locomotives usually used on the route are the American Flyers.
Amtrak Acela's don't have Hybrid K5LAs.
@@22racer61 The older ones did. They used bells 1 2 3 4A and 5. Standard K5LA’s use 1 2 3A 4A and 5.
Very nice 😊😊
The last one is my favorite
1:04 LOL HE NEEDS A BREAK!
Great vid you 2 the feathering on some of the horns sound pretty funny. But otherwise perfect job!!
K5LLA Horn The Loudest outta the 4 K5LA's & K5H

Commuter Train Horns | Amtrak: 1:00, 1:50, 2:45 | NJ Transit: 2:45, 4:02, 4:50 | Septa: 4:50, 1:00 | :D
Since when did they K5Hs?
They don't. They sometimes have K5L's on P42DCs, but no K5H that I know of
NJ Transit uses K5Ls, not K5H
People hearing the K5H be like: Is that a Acela Express?!
510 trackside is that 2nd K5LA for sale? if so how much you want for it?
This is a nice
You should go all the way on or to the other side of the land like try it from 100 feet away or more or so and see if you can still hear it, because it sounds like you’re in a field or something like that. Well in a place that doesn’t have a lot of people. Am I right?
Nice selection...WHEW! Got any extras?
Hey can you do a video of how to do that set up
How loud dads yell at you to wake up
The K5LA fell. That got me laughing
2:23 K5H is 4 Chimed Nathan horn
The large #1 bell was hide
@@szthoma If it was a 4 chime horn, it would be a K4H, not a K5H. But this one has 5 chimes, so its a K5H
What the horn sounds like to me:
1: UP Raised letter K5LLA
2: AMTK P42DC K5LA
3: Pacific Surfliner K5LA
4: CN K5H
5: California cab car K5LA
6: AMTK P40DC K5LA
The second one sounds more like one on an F40
@@CommuterRailProductions yea or chessie system
When you crack the horn lever trigger it sounds funny
the K5LLA sounds like a SD70Ace
I wish I could have K5LA #1

Dunno where you get your info lol.
$50-80? Not true at all. 5 chimes never go for under $750.
Damn you’re sensitive. I was just correcting you ...
Just asking this car don t need it train horns are for horns not cars

The k5h does not have a 1L bell
