@@talbertofdz Yeah, but millions of us don't want to live in a state that is a theocracy.
Thnksss brooo it helped
I disagree with the rankings. It's like they reached their hand in a hat and drew out names.
There is NO way that fl is 4
Same here. I think the only places in Michigan that are talked about are the bad parts of Detriot and Flint. Even though there is so much more you can talk about.
Makes no sense how you knock other states rankings for having cold weather and rank Minnesota #1 when it’s one of the coldest states
Weather is pretty much on the top of my list for desirable places to live, so you can cross off all the Northern Stats for me.
It's not very cold there, if you take Alaska for comparison.
Lived in Minnesnowta my whole life and I'm proud of the state! The only negative can be the winters but there's a ton of activities to make it enjoyable!
This winter snowed like 4 times with is crazy
Looks like Maine being #1 for low violent crime might have changed...
haha
i mean its funny @TenceIl
Was looking for this exact comment lmao
That was just one crazy dude. It doesn't happen often up there.
@@dessiesolomonjr-nl6zl It's pretty easy to swing violent crime rankings in low population states....
I've lived in Alabama all my life and I have to agree with the assessment. The pollution is a big problem but until the current political climate changes there's nothing going to be done about it.
Southern California is 3 times worse than Alabama.
I lived in both areas
Many pets in the South incudes dogs, hamsters, bunnies & others!🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇🛣🛣🛣🛣🛣🛣
FL at #4 is highly questionable.
But hey, if it helps sell my house faster, so be it.
😂
Right?? Are they just completely ignoring the druggies, garbage filled streets, insane rents and crappy/scammy jobs in Orlando and Miami?
You couldn't pay me to go back to that dumpster fire!
I lived in Florida for 20 years. Very high crime rate. Job market is bad. Low wages. Most of the year is extremely hot and humid. Flooding and Hurricanes are always a problem. Love the coastline and the Everglades. No state income tax. However, Property tax is high. All types of Insurance is very high. Florida does not belong in the top 20.
@@seveglider8406
Problem is that people go to Orlando and Miami for vacation and think that the entire State is like that.
Same happens with the tiny Island of Manhattan, people think NY State is like Manhattan, and Manhattan is only a fifth of NYC.
@@Dangic23I lived in Broward County and Brooklyn N.Y. If I had to choose between the 2, Brooklyn wins!
@@seveglider8406
I lived in Manhattan and Fort Walton Beach , lol.
And about 6 other States.
I escaped FL 3 months ago and moved to Tachikawa, Tokyo Japan.
Cost of living went down 50% and quality of life went up 1000%.
I love how you use a picture of utah and you can see the university of utah when you are talking about nebraska! lol.
Yes you can see the university, lol!
Every state has its unique charms and challenges. Let's appreciate the diversity and focus on making each one better. Thanks for the insights.
so proud of Mississippi. Made it all the way to 47th. No longer dead last!
Actually if you look it up they back to last.
As a oklahoma resident I feel ur pride for not being in the top 3 for once 😂
The thing about Florida is, it's so stressful to live there and make ends meet that you never get to experience the natural beauty. And if you did, two-thirds of the year it's too hot anyway or there are hurricanes coming. Where I live now, the bottom part of IL, is usually ranked around the middle with equal parts good and bad. A recent trip to MN showed me that the people there are friendly as advertized and that the infrastructure seems very good. It also seems very diverse. With climate change, there and WI may be getting lots of new residents in the coming years.
Minnesota is a great state to live. The suburbs are good. I lived in Woodbury and Stillwater. I moved out and retired in Utah. I love it, lots of sunshine and not as cold.
Your top 5s are so wild but I guess it’s your video
22:27 This only applies to Florida's universities, it's K-12 education is terrible (and public education is suffering from the current political climate in the state).
Wild that Mississippi beat Alaska
Illinois is 11 spots better than Texas???
You're right on the nose on Seattle WA... so expensive to live this state (every cities) plus homeless problem is huge!
Lmao another typical example of politician doing nothing or just doesn’t wanna work with each other. Been like this for thousands of years 😂
its a state for IT guys . can't see anyone else willing to move there
Great video! The top 3 surprised me.
7:12 as a Californian, I completely agree with you. California also has the best weather
I noticed that the crimes and shooting or whatever are starting to get low cuz I’ve not heard any bad crimes about Cali so far! I’m happy about my state :D
California (not Cali😂) is full of crime that they don’t publicize, illegals that are welcomed to live there, liberal idiots democrats, and higher living.
All I hear is how bad it is now.
They do not report the shootings and killings everyday because they were paid to not report them due to the overwhelming numbers would cause more chaos. Silence is their Golden. Good luck surviving living there.
It’s completely horrendous of a state. It is beautiful though. Just terrible people, political system, and economy.
@@matiasmuttoni9044 Yeah I gotta agree with that, this is why I try my best to avoid sketchy people I see lol
No way in hell would I want to live in Minnesota.
Why
Minnesota is great! It's in my top 5 of states I'd like to move to.
Whats wrong with Minnesota?
Yea what's wrong wi5h minnesota?
I'm Minnesotan, I don't see the issue besides cold
As a new yorkan I,m glad you put it high
Mild surely describes South Carolinas winter weather... cant say the same about the rest of the seasons.
I can't remember the last time I've experienced winter in Sc, and I've been here just over 11 years now
No way would l put NJ over Colorado! 🤣
Jersey is a dumpster fire lol
Standards of living yes. Nature Colorado is much better
I put nj number 20
23:22 my home is #1 Minnesota
Florida used to be a top 10 state, but it has been terribly mismanaged over the past few years and now I'd struggle to even place us in the top 25.
Cost of living vs. wages is completely out of whack, there's an affordable housing crisis, and it's become very difficult to find home insurance, especially affordable home insurance.
I feel that the population boom here will soon be a huge bust and there will likely be a real estate crash too. Can't get a mortgage without insurance after all, so how can the real estate market support that?
You can thank DeSantis for that, the guy is more focused in his war on woke and failing presidential bid than fixing the state's financial problems.
@@fisher3317hes the reason Florida is great
liberal lies, all the cali folks are moving there for a reason.
@@aidenwehmeyer1665 And they'll all leave as soon as they find out they can't get a mortgage because nobody will insure their home. Or find a job that pays anywhere close to what they made in California. These aren't lies. This is the reality here. All variable facts. You don't live here, do you?

22:28 - I think you OVERESTIMATE the quality of education in Florida ... ESPECIALLY with ALL the meddling by the Florida GOP in the curriculum ... Florida's education system is NOWHERE NEAR where it was 40 years ago ...

As someone who used to live in Mississippi I can't believe they placed so high.
It’s very cheap. I live in California, trust me. Mississippi is paradise lol
LOL
Interesting. Happy to see my home state is #9. A friend of mine from high school actually lives in Minneapolis & she likes how much cheaper it is compared to NY. I definitely have to send her this she’ll get a kick out of seeing this lol. She made the right choice moving there.
How do she like it so far? I’m debating between Minneapolis and North Carolina?
@@ShondaD_MN is a great state and even in the winter the are tons of things to do especially if you enjoy the arts. I grew up in MN but we move before my senior year in HS. Well after living in 6 other states mostly in the South I decided to come up to visit my brother after 40 years. Well I do not know how to say this, but I knew I was home and needed to get out of FL. That was 12 year ago and I think I missed a distaster since I was living in FL. In FL I was paying like $5000.00 on insurance for a home insured for $135,000. Today I would probably not be able to get insurance. My home was built in 1995 and made with concrete block and cement tiles. Those roof last like 50 years and just need to be inspected and replaced when cracked. Well now you cannot get insurance unless your roof is less then 10 years old. Can you imagine have to spend 25% of the value of the home to replace a perfectly good roof for insurance. It is a real problem because people have tiles and shingles that are guaranteed for 20 and 30 years and then the insurance companies expect them to replace the roof every 10 years. That is insane and just a waste of money. Then on top of it these insurance companies have said they cannot pay if a bad hurricane happens. But FL had badly over built when I was living there and it is much worse now.
Guess we don’t have to worry about the South rising again anytime soon
These are all just matters of opinion.
I would love to move to the United States ❤ pretty soon and live in the state of Minnesota according to these rankings.
Why is Florida and New York so high meanwhile Texas, California and Maine is so low?
My home state is #1! Glad to be from Minnesota
No ! North Carolina came at #11

im just shocked MS wasn’t number 50
I’m shocked Louisiana was #50.
Mississippi is crazy cheap to live in, that’s why
New york and California aren't in the bottom. This isn't accurate 😂
Florida has a terrible K-12 public school system and ranks in the bottom ten. The colleges and universities, however, are excellent overall.
Main reason why I moved out of FL after 1 school year.
My 3 kids were miserable there.
Now i am live in Florida with my two kids and family. The living cost is getting more expensive here. Looking for a good state to move

We ended up moving to Tokyo Japan, lol.
Cost of living is about 40% cheaper than FL, maybe more.

Florida needs to stop electing fascists to their government. I used to love Florida
Excellent video and facts !!! And with video and checking your video list had me like , Subscribe and share !!! 😊 !!
As a North Carolinian I can confirm that the weather here is NOT mild! Summers are MISERABLE! Humid and hot. But fall, winter and spring make up for iy
Interesting list!
I moved to NM 3 years ago and I have to say it doesn't deserve to be #49.
Lol FL at #4 is a joke, shouldnt even be in top 10. Too hot. too expensive, Public schools are trash. Too crowded. Hurricanes List can go ON!
California - no matter what the criteria are - is always at the top
Job, diversity, wealth, homeless population etc etc
Affordability
Crime level 😂 is on top too
They have a higher than average unemployment rate so I wouldn’t say they are top in jobs.
They rank as the highest in homeless population and that’s not a good thing. They have 30% of all homeless in the US and than 100,000 more than second place. That’s not good 😂
They also have reports that show almost 50% of Californians say they can’t afford to live there and you need 180k salary to live in the “middle class” that would mean being a part of the 3%.
California dose not deserve to be at the top especially when they have the highest exodus of all US states. 101,000 households are leaving California for other states and those states don’t want them.
California is a perfect example of why we can't have nice things
I’m honestly shocked North Carolina is almost in the top 10!
Minnesota got a state income tax at almost 10% in the middle of nowhere freezing cold winters don’t listen to everything here
I don't think North Carolina has average education.
Cali is the best state… we have mountains to snowboard, beaches to surf, forests to hike. The quality of life is great here and it’s expensive but you get what you pay for and also the jobs are way higher paying than other states so it can balance out depending on what field you are in. Not to mention it’s culturally diverse.
But there is no law to deter crime. You can literally rob anyone or anything and never pay any consequences
Culturally diverse 🤣because of ALL the black crimes and illegals. Just because a state or country has beautiful surroundings of oceans and mountains doesn’t make it a good place to live. It used to be a very perfect place to live but hasn’t been for over 20 years. Our entire family was in California for 3 generations but we’ve all left due to the people living there in the “sanctuary” state of crime.
You have la so -100 points
The existence of Los Angeles knocked it down quite a lot.
😂😂😂…highest electricity rates,gas prices ,taxes,homeless,crime
As a Minnesotan, I'll quote a Minneapolis based group Atmosphere: "I beg your pardon, but this is my secret garden." We're just a fly over state..
Yey Minnesota and Wisconsin!!

i agree with most of these
I have lived in 2 states in my life. Both of them are in the top 3. Neat!
New Jersey being above ANY of the New England states is a freaking JOKE
As a person born and living in Arizona, I agree
Texas being 38 is insane.
Florida that high?!! LMAOOOO
Crazy rankings for sure. MN is nice to visit in summer but it's miserable for 5 or 6 months a year so no thanks. New Mexico at 49 is just as insane. Lot's of natural beauty there and very few people.
The fact that you have Illinois ranked higher than Texas and Arizona tells me you don't know what the hell you're talking about
50: Red state. 49: Red state. 48: Red state. 47: Red state. 46: Red state. 45: Red state. 44: Red state. 43: Red state. 42: Red state. 41: Red state. Notice a pattern among the worst states?
I'm from AZ. I'd say it's more or of a purple almost blue state now.
hey, I live in New Mexico, and it may be one of the worst states, but it is NOT a red state.
Definitely. Red states suck
Start looking at the demographics. You have a ton of people leaving CA and the Pacific Northwest because they are taxed to death - enter “Red State” where all the lefties want to move and then ruin them like they did their blue state!
Blue states are the worst.
Flórida at 4 are you kidding if this state didn’t have nice beaches it would be the worst state in the country.
Exactly Florida's a better state for tourism than for living.
I already knew my trashy state Louisiana was first. But, I thought Mississippi would be number 49. And, generally possibly number 50.
I live in MN... idk if I would agree with this. Don't get me wrong, I love it but if you live in the Twin Cities you would see that it's VERY costly to live in this area.
This is a complete and total joke.
Across the globe, how can cold winters or hot summers be a ranking factor, since some would live on the beach, and others' idea of fun is snow skiing, dogsledding, ice fishing, snowmobiling, etc.--totally subjective?
Louisiana is fine as long as you don’t live Baton Rouge or New Orleans
Im from Rhode Island and im surprised u didnt mention our public schools which are all pretty terrible and unsafe
I would think yay California, Mississippi, Alabama, Maryland, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tenesee, Georgia, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina would be in the late 20s to early teens. I mean friendly people great hospitality, they treat you like family, when you have not been to the south in a long time, they treat you like a friend regardless of how long you have not been in the south, beautiful beaches, nice weather, home of Country, Gosphel, Jazz, Cajun, Zydeco, Bluegrass, Rock, styles of music, conservative, small government, traditional values, low stress.

Ok Massachusetts at number 10 being beat out by NY and NJ and reasoning it's not number 1 is cost of living? 1st off NJ has the highest property taxes in the country and NY has a higher tax and cost of living then the New England state. Minnesota being number 1 is laughable as it's harsh winters are a reason it's population is less then Massachusetts yet being 10 times the size. Idaho is only gaining popularity due to Californians desperately leaving that state but still wanting to stay west. Not much to do there but maybe in 20 years that will change, or not.
Oh nah dirty jersey over Ny is crazy
You're dang right we are the best in the country! Let's go Minnesota!

Three cheers for idaho. Love that state
New York #1 for me
Can't believe Hawaii is so high. I mean, #17, with that high cost of living??
I can find some potential in every state. In terms of job opportunities, every state has something for those of you who are teachers as long as they all have schools. You cannot have schools if you do not have teachers. Rural states have something for those of you who are farmers and ranchers while urban states have potential for those of you who are experts in more creative fields. California has job opportunities for movie stars, North Dakota is big on the oil industry and Kansas is big on growing wheat. Washington is big on the gaming industry, since they have Nintendo of America, Inc, located in Redmond. If you are very creative and very tech savvy, you may find opportunities in Washington, participating with a team that develops Nintendo's next video game. In terms of crime rates in America, I pay less attention to statewide crime rates and more attention to crime rates in smaller areas. Even high crime states have low crime areas, included in most cases. Even after this much consideration, trying to find potential in as many states as I can, in terms of the crime rates, I would still consider staying away from Alaska because unfortunately, I may not find job opportunites anywhere except for those crime ridden areas. For the most part, I would like to see low cost states with low crime areas (the statewide crime rate is irrelevant, here). If you live in a large state, you can move away from crime ridden areas without crossing state lines. In Texas, you might consider staying away from Dallas and El Paso and in Kansas, you might want to stay away from Wichita and Kansas City. If you want to move to Kansas, you might be thinking of both areas: Salina and Trenton. You may consider Salina, Kansas for job opportunities and Trenton, Kansas for that small town feel.
Minnesota crime going through the roof, no way that place is #1
California is expensive but I been here 23 years I love it
Michigan is rated way too high. Idk how you figured that one.

This is a hard one. If you’re a statist or an elitist your list will probably be inversely ranked to someone who is a freedom valuing populist. 😊
As a Person from Louisiana, I am offended because there is barely any wrongdoing here. More than half of that is in New Orleans and Louisiana has had to go through so much over the years like the Frencu uprising, and the abuse of their slaves😢
