Landing the last part is not so much about having enough time as making sure that your first finger of your opposite hand is in the right place to catch the string. We mention this, that it is easier to catch the loop as it comes around when your hands are close together.

In that case something may be wrong with the yoyo. It is possible the bearing is no good, but it is hard to say what the problem may be. You should contact whoever you bought the yoyo from.

literally got the trick in 40 mins of opening the video just had to read watch parts of the video to understand how the trick work I've only landed it 5 times now but was so excited when I landed it the first time
It sounds like you may have pinched the string between the bearing and the axle. If it is not sleeping at all then this is probably what has happened. You will need to take the yoyo apart, remove the string, put it back together and then put the string back on. You may need to replace the string altogether.
The string should be wrapped around your yoyo hand's index finger an additional time, but this should not be a knot. If you are getting a knot I am not sure how that may be happening.
hey man . im done with the firs 50 tricks and these long string tricks are kinda cool. is it okay to skip the other tricks you have and skip to long string tricks? would it help me progress faster and better? also i currently have a sage and a replay pro, are these tricks still doable with the yoyos i have?
This is because every time a yoyo is thrown the string gets a little bit tighter. You will need to do a trick like the UFO / Sleeping Beauty to loosen the string so that it will sleep again. We have a video that demonstrates those tricks.

Most of the time when someone tells you how long a yoyo sleeps they are presuming a very powerful and perfectly straight throw. You should not assume the yoyo will sleep that long every time you throw it. Also, when you get a yoyo onto the side mount you can adjust the tilt on the yoyo by pulling your yoyo hand back or pushing your yoyo hand forward while the yoyo is on the string.

If I understand the part of the trick you are talking about (the link is right in-between two shots), there is no string to reject at that point in the trick. My guess is that you are just missing the string because your opposite hand is either too far in front or behind the yoyo.

when I try to unhook it doesn't work I've tried to leave my finger opened before i roll I've tried opening it during the roll and after the roll and it doesn't work i end up with a few string that are not supposed to be there
You have slack in the string when you put the yoyo behind the string. The slack causes the string to wrap around the yoyo. This has happened to me too.

Yep breakaway, and how do I get it to stop touching??? I have slowed it down to try and keep it straight but it keeps tilting... I don't have this trouble with many tricks....

Absolutely.
I am not a fan of the Duncan line, and I have never tried the 44, but I do know that the Genesis is a great place to start with high-end metal yoyos.
In that case something may be wrong with the yoyo. It is possible the bearing is no good, but it is hard to say what the problem may be. You should contact whoever you bought the yoyo from.

Instead of swinging the yoyo behind the string, swing it up and push your opposite hand under the yoyo.
We are in IL. I suspect that once an order is shipped it will take 3-5 days to arrive.
A minute 20 is not necessarily short. Are you able to get longer sleep times from other yoyos?

We put tricks in that category that have multiple steps (5 or more). They are "Long String-Tricks", not "Long-String Tricks".
I have never seen someone do that, but I believe there may be a youtube video that shows how it could be done.

i just got my ducan yoyo and it was sleeping for the first 5 mins then it only sleeper every 20 tries

When you say pulling your finger out of the string, are you talking about the part at the end of the trick?
