This dudes gameplay's are among the best. He plays the game without much distraction, explores the mechanics & even explains the processes of some, and he doesn't dick around wasting time, always progressing as quickly as he can. Even his mage tower explored the mechanics of the cube building space.

I really wish enshrouded had a creative mode. I think it has one of the best building styles. I just wish I could create limitlessly without having to catch up on farm.

This game feels like a mix of valheim and breath of the wild
And a little bit of conan exiles judging by the crafting system
Waiting for pt 3 when the Colonel finally crafts the secret recipe from the herbs and spices and restores peace to the land of Kentucky
Im not sure if you found the Engine at the point im at, but its a Custom version of Keen Software use called Vrage 2.0, they use it for Medieval Engineers and mostly Space Engineers where you can make Spacecraft, flight, fight dig, mine, from a planet to a asteroid in space :-) with realistic gravity :D

My only other exposure to this game was Let's Game it Out playing it, so this is a little jarring to see it done correctly

It's created in Germany and surprised the developers themselves that it grew so popular. It's a good game tho, really user friendly imo
Enshrouded was released somewhere around the time palworld was peaking, no wonder not so many people have heard about it. Dope though, waiting for another year to play it again. Love to see the roadmap and that the devs actually keep their promises.
@@mrstarforge3572 I was fed up with palworld real fast, you play 10 hours and have seen anything, I played 60+ on enshrouded (which means a lot since I never play a game this much solo) and still haven't seen everything, I planned to do it like you with the waiting

Re: Getting exp from mining. I think its great when games do that too. I liked how New World handled this; where pretty much everything would give you exp on top of the usual grind/quest stuff. Mining, harvesting, forging, crafting, logging, refining materials, map exploration.
Yeah , guild wars 2 was my first game that did that , I loved walking around and doing jumping puzzles , and that up and look , that was the best part of the game for me :)

I'm not sure if you've heard of a game called Shipwrecked 64, but as someone who frequents Defcon, it's right up your alley. It seems like the perfect game for you, and I'd love to see you stream it and figure out all the insane secrets in real time.
If you like enshrouded you'll also like Valheim.... Enshrouded and Valheim are my favourite games of all times by far.

One thing I'd like them to change in this game is the prompt for "collect" and "loot" to instead say the name of the item you'd be picking up. That'd make it a little more new player friendly as you'd have no idea what it is you're collecting or looting based on the visual of the item alone.
Curious, I have played Asherons call ages ago and they were about the only mmo that didn’t nerf the fun… Rift, World of Warcraft online, EverQuest , Neffed to literal death just because of balance between classes… Rediculous!
I LOVE this game. Enjoy the building, the atmosphere and the "little things". This game is amazing!!
the building is really inspired, their shapes aren't so specific and the materials looks great. the vokel system makes everything seamless. when I found out I could make bone blocks I can't tell you the imagery of all the abominable castles I could make.
Amazing is a stretch for now, it really needs a lot of polish to get better:
- Combat mechanics are alright but combat quickly becomes a chore due to level scaling and stronger variants of each 'tribe' dropping the same loot as the base mobs
- Unbalance builds, melee is so weak I ended up using a staff as my tank's damage source
- Progression is super tied to the quests so exploration of non-quest areas feels pointless
- 99% of the time the only interesting loot is a chance for a weapon upgrade
- Maybe I just forgot how it was in Valheim, but getting resources feels more grindy in Enshrouded
- 'Bosses' are meh, only the Matron's poison attacks are a pain in melee range
The game gets off to a strong start but it falls off quite quickly due to lack of content and it starts feeling like the survival part is just holding you back from being able to build cool shit rather than being and equally interesting part of the game. It has a lot of potential though and all the points I raised are on the dev roadmap for this year so they can hopefully adress.
I still had fun playing through the launch content but it's an early access for a reason and there's still a lot of work ahead of the devs.

Will you be willing to play Subnautica or have you already done so but not on RUclips? I’d like to see you enjoy the flaws and passion the devs put in the first game.

Enshrouded is great, another example of bringing something new or having a refreshing take for an already established genre, and for that its was able differentiate itself from the rest (voxel + ARPG). ngl it's a crazy timeframe for Survival Sandbox and regards the saturation of the genre and titles being releases Palworld, Enshrouded, and Pacific Drive was able to shine. W mix genre.
Partly thanks to Unreal Engine getting native voxel features

Hey Thor, just a friendly Tip. If you carry an alter, a workbench and a campfire with you, you can put them all down repair, rest and then pickup the workbench and make a new campfire and alter out of a few stone and then move on. Also if you just have hte alter, you can put it down and then teleport home, eat, rest, repair, and then teleport back and remove the alter and move on again. That's how i explored and it made bringing back the materials and then continuing where i left off a lot easier.
Happy to see more gameplay from Thor! Unfortunate that this game was largely a disappointment as far as open world crafting fun. On to the next!

I had enshrouded listed as a game to play since it was released when I was still a console gamer at the time and couldn't even play the game!
I have since got myself a gaming laptop and was overwhelmed by how many games are on Steam and was having a moment of not knowing what to play to enjoy my time playing games since so many popular games these days feel very grindy and at times can fall short of providing the enjoyment that games used to before the platforms became as advanced as they are now.
Since I discovered your channel, I have been appreciating your shorts and motivating clips across various media channels, and when I discovered your video covering this game, I have ended up buying the game and have enjoyed every minute since I started.
You are a great example of humble and honest streaming / online content, and I hope you continue to achieve what you set out to in the coming days!

my only beef with this game - none of the armor looks as good as the characters do on creation.

If you like this game you should really check out nightingale! I was following its development for over a year and was so excited to see it release. I find it incredibly enjoyable!
For me, the game is a 2 out of 10. Horrible combat, few poi's to explore, 20 clicks to create an item, basic Rust building, bosses are either stay long range and shoot or hp tank.
