Between this and the Cloudboom Strike LS, we are in exciting times for running shoes. Glass half full would say in 5 or so years these type of shoes will be the new Vapor fly and Meta speeds for the general public . Great video!
Adidas has featured this super shoe staring Pharrell holding an Olympic torch. I’m not sure what adidas is gearing this shoe towards. Pharrell collab with adidas is mostly about lifestyle.
The Head of Product management recently clarified, that the shoe will go the distance easily. BUT they made it specifically to performe the best that one race. He never said it will only last 1 race or a workout. and various people have gotten 100ish miles out of this without any major drawbacks.
Every manufacturer have different blends/formulas for their midsoles even if the branding is the same. You can look at Lightstrike Pro, ZoomX, Powerrun PB/HG etc as a branding towards the public so it's known what type of quality the midsole has. But it can differ based on usage. Just like milk has different fat percentage. It's still milk whether it has 1%, 3% or 5% fat. It's still milk but the taste differs.
"It's not worth the money in my opinion unless your career is on the line." If you have a running career to put on the line, you probably already got the shoes for free!
I had the money and the opportunity so said f it. I’d pass on it too if I begged and got it for free. As long as you aren’t a harsh runner they’ll be fine. And most people have confirmed they last longer.
It is a shoe for elites that is clear for anyone who is not a fast runner it is foolish to buy it in that we are clear but the pro 4 has many of the same elements and very accesible price and high durability
This is a super BS shoe. Literally single use. The awful durability of midsoles, outsoles, heel lining etc. I’ve had a couple of “super shoes” of different brands. Not worth the hype. Don’t buy it ‼️ I can’t imagine how pissed I’d be, when running a marathon in an unreliable shoe like this
This is basically a hype super racing shoe for rich people with high disposable income to splurge. Even so, this shoe is definitely not a good investment…😅
I appreciate your honesty about these shoes, thank you.

Great video!
Brilliant and blatantly honest!!
What a review!! ❤
I wonder if this is why the pros were seen wearing this shoe with a more standard style sole
Ohhhh that’s interesting!!!

Let's wait for David to see how it performs on trails.
😅
Matt lets know how it feels barefoot, David how they feel on trails, and Nathan how it feels not to run in them.
David will be the judge whether Matt has good DIY / glue-work skill!🤣
I came to hear about the Matt treatment. Now, David can tell us how it performs on trails. :)
Can confirm David has taken it on trails
great informing post
It looks like Cassandre Beaugrand won the 2024 Olympic triathlon in these. Bet she didn't have to buy them though.

It was never meant for non-professional runners. They only released it, because they had to in order for it to be allowed in elite races
Adidas may as well have posted a video putting the shoe on an angle grinder.. kudos on them providing a shoe to someone who is tough on shoes.
treat this shoe like F1 Slick tire
would us normal mortal using the F1 Tires?
No, I’m a bad enough driver as is…. -Matt
Why do they call it Lightstrike Pro when it's different from Lightstrike Pro?

@@Runningnomad123this is AWESOME!! Great explanation!
It’s called lightstrike pro Evo per the outsole print. Different stuff.
@@Runningnomad123but even more confusing when like Puma did having a peba foam and an TPU foam both branded as nitro elite in different shoes
Yes. Smart NOT TO BUY. Good one MATT!!
There was a review for the puma deviate nitro elite 3?
Haven’t gotten
I bought a pair at 30% off from Adidas 😂 but one size smaller than my regular. It's amazingly light but I haven't run them yet.
Great review, the outsole of my shoes looks new after 250 miles but for me it's definitely an overkill..
We know, we know, it's "Adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 1"
Cee-Lee-oh

In conclusion, shoe is not applicable to 99.99% of runners
Oooof…$500 for less than one long training run. If I ever get my hands on one of these, gonna flip it to an unsuspecting fanboy.
FIVE HUNDRED!????
+ shipping 😂
Why would I wear a $500 shoe for a marathon that is going to rip or otherwise come apart while Im running??
Don't know. Because you're stupid?
Thank YOU Matt! 500 dollars. FOR SHOES. oh lets not forget... 1 time use only!

prolly added 50% weight with that super glue

Still Pharell use it for fashion 😂
$500 dollars, 26.2 and done.
At 10 miles it ripped off 😂
Just need 3 to complete a marathon, no biggie. Only a minute lost for shoe changes, totally worth it to run with 2oz less weight.

@@wonkydonkey7899imo it’s something made exclusively for pros but is being solid so it abides by world athletics regulations
why bother reviewing this show
Adidas really fell off when they turned their back on Kanye who kept the moral high ground.
WHAT A RIP $$$
