Vfs global site now has the following notice..Renunciation certificate is not mandatory for OCI applications. A person who has already acquired foreign citizenship is not required to apply for Renunciation certificate.

Did you attend an appointment at HCI Birmingham first to get the witness signature before the VFS appointment?

You can pay onsite when you go with your application for the signature.. or try different cards I did the same

As of today, the renunciation process has been scrapped, so we will only need a surrender certificate.
