“Nitro” coffee and Guinness use nitrogen (N2). You are calling these “nitro” cocktails but using nitrous oxide (N2O). These two gases act and react quite differently in liquids and aren’t going to produce the same results. It would be nice if this video addressed this critical difference. A standard nomenclature would also help.

Good point, we're just using the term 'nitro cocktails' as that is how they've become known. Nitrous Oxide cocktails don't quite have the same ring to it

Time to put my whipping siphon to use :-) Right now, I'm totally blown away by the book "Zero: A New Approach to Non-Alcoholic Drinks", especially by the fact that they recreate classic liquors like rum by boiling ingredients like pineapple peel, toasted wood, or spices in water. I tried their "Daiquiri" recipe with a non-alcoholic, "Jamaican Rum" and it was incredible.

My favorite cocktail, especially during the Spring and Summer months is the Mojito. Sometimes to mix it up a bit, I like to add Cherries to the mix. It is so refreshing and delicious. I'd love to see what fun ideas you can come up with to serve this favorite!

I am very fascinated with the Alice & the Magician, got my brain gears going about what can be done with that. Love learning more about the inventive ways to make cocktails with my whipping siphon. Thanks for inspiration!

For me, my favorite drink is a Margarita. But about 3 weeks ago I made a creamed hot spiked cider I think would have gone well if I could have gave it some extra bubbly. Not to mention I could have made with the whipped cream using the syphon instead of making it by hand.😁

My 'current' favorite cocktail is a bourbon-forward Boulevardier. Two parts bourbon to 1 each of Campari and sweet vermouth.
Can you use the N20 to infuse wood flavor into the spirit? Or is it better for infusing the spirit into softer things like fruit.
I've done carbonated fruit before with my whipping siphon, but have only used the nitrogen chargers for cream...

My favorite is the “laphroaig project cocktail”
I think it was created by Bourbon & Branch in San Francisco
I’ve always wanted to try making this cocktail but then also try doing a burnt wood chip infusion with a siphon but maybe that’d be too much Smokey taste lol

This video (especially the title) is a bit misleading. I bought an Isi Gourmet Whipper and NO2 Chargers in hopes of making “Nitro Cocktails” in addition to whipped cream and such (partly based on this video and apparently my own ignorance) but you technically need the Isi Nitro Whipper and the N2 Chargers for actual “Nitro Cocktails”. The Isi Gourmet with NO2 works great for rapid infusion which is technically what they are doing here in this video with the fruit in the sangria. Still cool but definitely NOT the same as actual “Nitro Cocktails”.

You can't go past a Negroni, the perfect combination of Gin, Campari, and vermouth in a somewhat punchy package but can be premixed to enjoy at home or looking suitably demure when served on a night out as an aperitif in a restaurant

The flavors wouldn't be as strong even with the rapid infusion.

Some flavors I would love to try:
Extra ripe Blueberries (with Thai Basil), Raspberries or other highly aromatic fruit that is one level darker in color.. EXTRA ripe without being over ripe.
You may have to grow the fruit yourself, however, as well as protect the extra ripe fruit from animals.
These flavors will stay with you (in your memory) for a very long time.. even without making a cocktail. Creating nitrogen cocktails sounds like a good opportunity for using rare fruits, such as Honeyberries, Little Ruby Figs, Tamarillos, etc.

I haven’t tried too many different cocktails. I’ll usually just get a spiced rum mixed with coke or a beer. I would probably use the ISI to make aerated microwaveable sponge cakes or different foams more than cocktails but I would have to find the chargers locally somewhere as they can’t be shipped to my location. As such, please take me out of consideration for the giveaway as the chargers won’t be able to be shipped to me anyway.

I prefer mocktails, but sometimes I will add some gin. I don't have a favorite since I am constantly playing with different combinations of acids. The last one I had was sour cherry, water, malic acid, tartaric acid, simple syrup, some cherry essential oil mixed in gum arabic and water (difficult), some soda bicarbonate, salt, and a drop of a mixture of 0.5g caffeine to 100g of water. I don't think the caffeine did anything. All this was carbonated (CO2 tank, no ISI) and it was great. edit: mistake: no tartaric acid and malic acid, just phosphoric acid.
