I love these versions of New Theory and All I Know. They sound very real and heartfelt.
Washed Out live was the first time I smoked pot at a gig, and maaan what an experience :)

Same here, since Portland was my hometown, when the TV show would say something like...4th & Couch...I'd think..??? do I know that neighborhood? Tracing down the theme-song to the show, listen to all their albums now...
This is an epic set! I feel so stoked watching it! Great vibes! 🌞✌❤ P.S. the song "All I know" it is cool I don't know if you are aware or not, but to the rhythm of the song the band moves like a wave and it makes it even more aesthetically pleasing to watch because you feel 'one' with the band. I guess I just really feel music in such a deep and almost spiritual level, I am so caught up in how it makes me feel and with deeper meanings and talent. Once in awhile I will like something trendy for the beat or lyrics, but most of the time theres a meaning to the song at a profound level even if the song looks trite on my songs list. Or their sound is intriguing. Ernest I love all your music!!! ❤❤❤
Love how new theory sounded!
I really loved this time for Washed Out. Paracosm was a sublime album and I still hope that Ernest can create something similar but it is hard to recreate the magic. Artists grow, the world changes around them and the audience changes too.
I appreciate that album so much, probably his best to date.
I could live on an island with the first two tracks and be completely contempt with life. You make me feel like I'm winning and I appreciate that!

Saw them live twice in three days in Aug/Sep. Their first show as a full band in Monterey - absolutely killed it, crowd loved it. Second was two days later at a small club in SF. Unreal.
Wow! Doug Fir Portland, how did I miss this? Did see them on this tour at Mississippi Studios in Portland. Excellent concert!

This is interesting, I saw Earnest do a DJ set not long ago and was quite disappointed. It was like listening to the CD with some other tracks not by him over a crappy PA. He was barely distinguishable from any other DJ worth their salt. If it was more like this, I would've loved it. Does he normally switch up live performances and DJ sets on a tour, because I love his albums and would want to give his live performance a fair shake.

This has been the best Washed Out ever.
Sadly, the follow-up albums didn't match this quality. And the dream pop five-member group turned into a trio, which made the band sound less organic and pure like this.

The vocals are a bit drowned out by the rest of the mix but amazing otherwise.

Im kind of disappointed that he incorporated a full band. It sounds good but there is something great about a one man band with a laptop, vocals, computer and keyboard.
I fail to see how one man pressing play is better than a couple people coming together and making beautiful music. Even if they're also playing over a backing track. That's just me though.
He can do all of that in his studio, like Kevin Parker of Tame Impala. He only needs them for the live shows.

In what way does this make no sense? I am stating that he produces all of the music from his albums in his own studio, just like Kevin Parker. He only needs extra members to play the songs live.
