With the Manchu update, Yuan is even more powerful as you no longer have to worry about bordering non-tributaries (and you can also just skip the mandate altogether). More importantly, it’s a hell of a lot easier to form, as Ming will now implode far more often
And now Qing should easily be in the top 10 or even top 5 due to buffed ideas AND the op Mission set that gives cores on 2/3 of China if pulled off correctly. Even with nerfed Banners they are stupidly strong - Yuan only being better because they can Keep their Horde Status. Andalusia. My favorite game was a Granada start, ally with Morocco and Tlemcen. Get picked on by Castile, win, take land. Picked on again, win, take more land, form Andalusia, shatter Castile. Move on rest of Iberia, colonize West indies, get picked on by GB, invade the British Isles, take all of West Indies. Round 2, take the 13 Colonies. Ally with Ottomans. Colonize northern South America and Greenland, form Andalusian USA, Haiti and Mexico. Finish third.

not enough experience in EU4 but in EU3 the 2 most powerful nations by far were Italy and Germany. I remember earning an obscene amount of money with italy, Germany on the other side was a military and tax powerhouse. Now in EU 4 I am playing with Ottoman and they are incredibly powerful, the switch from the westernization mechanic to institutions made them so easy to manage that you will never fall behind in techs if you just conquer some western lands like the hungarian ones. Just border or annex Austria and you become invincible
Yuan Dynasty founded by Kublai Khan, basically the Mongols. Mughal Empire founded by Babur, who was a descended from Genghis Khan, so sort of the Mongols again

Any tips for getting independent as holland without the dlc were u can ally as Vassel. I want to play Netherlands so bad but burgundy keeps eating me :/
Fun fact: There should be a Personal Union between Transylvania and the Commonwealth (1575/76-1586), because Stephen Báthory ruled both at the same time. (look it up in wikipedia.) But the ottomans would be unstoppable, because (just like in real life) Transylvania was a vassal of the ottomans.
But Batory was still independent king of Rzeczpospolita. Poland wasn't subject to Hungary. Poland should be subject of Saxony in early 18th century tho
Yeah, but EU4 can't properly demonstrate actual vassalage systems very well. Neither can CK2 really, the problem is the game is based on sovereign control of territory whose owners are either a vassal or a lord, which isn't a great representation of feudalism in many cases. To fix this you'd need vassalage to be foremost a property of the land holding rather than a character. In real life there were counties controlled directly by English kings that were legally in a vassal relationship to the French crown, for example, so the English monarch was a vassal of France in regards to a select number of counties while at the same time being the principle lord over other holdings. This is only a specific example I know enough to mention, with inheritance laws being quasi-separate from legal vassal relationships this happened all the time. EU4 arguably represents this aspect a little better with personal unions still being separate countries where in CK2 they'd just be "annexed" on the map.
I totally agree about moughals, cuse not only you get a buff for conquerind the culture group, when you conquer an entire culture (not culture group) it became acceptes, so you can virtually accept every single one culture in the world GG Even so, the indian subcontinent is very reach in trade numbers, so you have really nice incomesgtherin all in Persia node or even constantinopla when conquer ottomans.
@ AlzaboHD You're making a mistake of not putting the manchu in this video. The combination of Tengri faith, horde government, banner troops, and the close proximity of the bank of Ming made them insanely powerful. Horde government and Tengri faith allows you to have an all cavalry army, combine this with the bonus hordes get on flat terrain and the manchu banner, you get a superpower horde with the world at their feet that can milk the bank of ming every time you need money.
You mentioned that anyone that forms Rome will get the Mare Nostrum achievement. This is incorrect. To get that achievement, you must have already formed Rome, and then owned all provinces around the Mediterranean and Black Sea. This is on top of the provinces in England along with Italy, Greece, France, Iberia, and Anatolia required to form Rome in the first place.
I like to start as Milan, become emperor, form Italy, then work on making the HRE my vassals while I make the Roman Empire. The end result is the most powerful entity that the game can make.
I fought with a 40k prussian stack against 58k rebels. My losses: around 800. My general has a total of 17 points plus prussian tropps is totaly destructive
The lists are great. Besides Scandinavia, i wish they have new ideas for Egypt and Arabia. Using 20 adm tech for it isn't worthy. Mongol empire is also worthy to improve. I mean if mongol khanate form yuan and then mongol empire. They could have just like one jurchen tride to manchu to qing, gradually stronger ideas.
Personally CK2 is more difficult for me. Managing your dynasty is a lot more challenging than managing a country because if your king dies without an heir you lose in CK2 but in EU4 its not a problem
What are you talking about, just kill your all of (except 1) your sons by leaving them in the sea to die of scurvy(?) until late game, where you just click on the marry button to ANYONE just to have cadet branches, also fuck anyone you can just to get more kids towards the end, bastard children are super useful because you can deny them claims whilst making them apart of your dynasty by just legitimising them after the birth event.

After the Manchu update, which nations would you include on this list? I would think Qing and Golden Horde would make it in (not Mongol IMO, as Golden Horde is much better, especially because Mongol moves your capital to an awful place in Asia).
Note on the Netherlands, it can be formed by any dutch-cultured nation and also Burgundy (which is in the French culture group)
I'm the type of nerd who likes staying as a minor nation that *can* form a better nation just because it's like "We didn't come all this way to lose the identity that carried us here to begin with" like if I play a German minor (Like Cleves or something)
Not very effective? Absolutely
Fun to me?? *Absolutely*
Play with ULM
You missed France, They can be REformed.
Spain too.
@@HVLLOW99 Spain dosen't exist at 1444 start date
AlzaboHD 3:45. It's not Calvary, it's Cavalry. Calvary was the hill Jesus was crucified on, Cavalry is mounted horsemen
Thanks Arexsis! My pronunciation is notoriously bad - especially in the Let's Plays
And I thought that was Golgotha
With next patch andalusia will be even stronger
Yeah. I got to play against the Muhgal Empire. After the 50th war they declared on me, it was finally time that I decided to learn how to use console commands. God damned it's annoying.
Im impressed the AI formed the Mughals in your campaign!
So this is uncommon in your campaigns? OK. I guess I just got unlucky, having to play against Ottoman+.
@@SangoProductions213 the same by me, very seldom, but I always ask myself, WHY ARE THE MAMELUKS NOT FORMING EGYPT?!!!! WHY. Also which country did you play with?
@@axelmuller7946 Neo-Mongolia.
Malaya is poweful as well. Conquering South East Asian trade from China using the Malay peninsular can make you rich quick
What about new formed Germany with a Prussian ideas ? Sounds like cool :)
Those damn Muggles. Someone's gotta take care of them.
Random question, whats up with your mouse cursor? Looks like it keeps dissappearing
It's a mystery to me, too. Nvidia shadowplay is a pretty awful recording program but it gives me more or less 60 fps on my laptop so I'm stuck with it. If you have any suggestions for recorders that don't tank FPS like fraps or (potentially) OBS I'd love to know.
@@AlzaboHD ah gotcha. Sadly i dont know much about recording programs so i cant recommend one :(
Savoy -> Italy was one of my most fun campaigns and can confirm Italy is good
Finland has pretty good ideas too
What dev diary was the info about new formable nations in? Any idea when these would be coming?
not enough experience in EU4 but in EU3 the 2 most powerful nations by far were Italy and Germany.
Is there any updates guides for Rum?
Yuan Dynasty founded by Kublai Khan, basically the Mongols. Mughal Empire founded by Babur, who was a descended from Genghis Khan, so sort of the Mongols again
Can we talk about that prussia in your Netherlands game?
Haha yeah, it was massive. I wasn't actually playing NL - that timeline footage was from my Dharma AI timelapse video. Prussia became massive and was even Orthodox to boot!
Any tips for getting independent as holland without the dlc were u can ally as Vassel. I want to play Netherlands so bad but burgundy keeps eating me :/
u pick really strong nations in there.. but i missed persia and france... but i dont know which other nation to take from this list for these 2.
still a formable
@@andreastom1755 so is Poland, which isnt on here either.
I think the list excluded nation's that exist in the 1444 start.
Wait, Ottomans are formable?
@@stojankovacic1524 fuck.....I might have fucked that up XD I'm gonna edit that out.
Mamluks are also formable if you are tunisia, morocco or granada and you have province of mamluks (qahira or something) and if mamluks doesnt exist
You Pronounced Ducats Better Than Most People Of Heard! Congratulations!
Thank you, sir/madam!
Fun fact: There should be a Personal Union between Transylvania and the Commonwealth (1575/76-1586), because Stephen Báthory ruled both at the same time. (look it up in wikipedia.)
But the ottomans would be unstoppable, because (just like in real life) Transylvania was a vassal of the ottomans.
Well if anyone likes to start in 1500 (nobody does ) then of course
But Batory was still independent king of Rzeczpospolita. Poland wasn't subject to Hungary.
Poland should be subject of Saxony in early 18th century tho
@@starszynajstarszy9192 True, but you can't do it in EU4 without making them a separate person.
EU4 arguably represents this aspect a little better with personal unions still being separate countries where in CK2 they'd just be "annexed" on the map.
when Italy gives combat ability XD
This rome seems like mongol empire more than rome
09:25
Nepal: are you sure about that?!
Papal State technically is semi-elective "monarchy".
Unless the Priests fuck each other and make children then no they aren't, oh wait...
@@mikesnow285 You're thinking of CK2
Great video, i didn't know how powerfull is Mughals but i have to do a critic "tortellini alfredo" are not an italian dish xD
How is it not? Sounds Italian, looks Italian, made with Italian products.
Maybe my game is wack but in my commonwealth game I couldn’t ever choose the ruler I wanted I just had like a son.
I think Qing should be on the list, too. God tier national ideas, permanent claim on China and banners are rather OP.
You forgot the powerful nation Hannover
I think Japan is pretty underrated
I like to start as Milan, become emperor, form Italy, then work on making the HRE my vassals while I make the Roman Empire. The end result is the most powerful entity that the game can make.
so is minghals still possible?
Fairly sure it isn't, unfortunately. You might be able to form Shan as Ming and then go from Shan to Mughals but I havn't tested it yet.
isnt ming end game tag nation?
Forming Shan first works
Does anyone know what map skin does he use?
6.15 we dont get drunk, just a bit sleepy
How do i Form a Nation?
Imperium of Mann should be formable, and be able to put Prussian space marines to shame
It's a few millenia out of the timeframe of the game though
what mods do u use for this map graphics?
Graphical Map Improvements which you can find on steam here: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=253263609
Thx
If you wanna form Germany. You never abandon Prussia, you change name and flag.
Sardinia-piedmont not piedmont-sardinia
Thanks for the correction!
1. Polish Horde (Horde into Poland).
I fought with a 40k prussian stack against 58k rebels. My losses: around 800.
My general has a total of 17 points plus prussian tropps is totaly destructive
It's the Mk VII Power Armour that does it mostly, but unlocking Krak rounds and Land Raiders for the cav helps too
I say Yuan is the best, how fast you can expand is incredible.
Yuan and NED over Manchu/Qing and Golden Horde is rough. Celestial government is a significant setback, and the Dutch are nowhere near these.
Spain as Aragon most OP in the game
The lists are great. Besides Scandinavia, i wish they have new ideas for Egypt and Arabia. Using 20 adm tech for it isn't worthy.
Mongol empire is also worthy to improve. I mean if mongol khanate form yuan and then mongol empire. They could have just like one jurchen tride to manchu to qing, gradually stronger ideas.
Which one is more difficult? Ck 2 or Eu 4?
Personally CK2 is more difficult for me. Managing your dynasty is a lot more challenging than managing a country because if your king dies without an heir you lose in CK2 but in EU4 its not a problem
What are you talking about, just kill your all of (except 1) your sons by leaving them in the sea to die of scurvy(?) until late game, where you just click on the marry button to ANYONE just to have cadet branches, also fuck anyone you can just to get more kids towards the end, bastard children are super useful because you can deny them claims whilst making them apart of your dynasty by just legitimising them after the birth event.
I managed to get Prussia by complete accident. I have never felt so much Germanic patriotism in my life and I'm Vietnamese.
