      @@tentonhammer4703 The NHS is not on the table in any UK / US deal. It has been said before and Boris said it in this video. More empty doom mongering.
      Regarding the pension age ... I assume you must read the Daily Mirror! See below.
      "Daily Mirror, 17 August 2019
      An (now corrected) article in the Mirror over the weekend claimed that the government planned to raise the state pension age to 75 over the next 16 years, based on the findings of a report by the Centre for Social Justice think tank.
      The Centre for Social Justice, which first proposed Universal Credit and is chaired by former work and pensions secretary Iain Duncan Smith, did recommend that the State Pension Age be increased to 75 by 2035 in a new report.
      *But it’s incorrect to suggest this proposal is government policy.* We spoke to the Department for Work and Pensions, which told us that it’s not government policy to do this. *The Mirror has corrected their headline today to reflect this fact.
      *
      State pension age in the UK is currently a little over 65 for both men and women. By October 2020 it will have risen to 66, from 66 to 67 between the years 2026 and 2028, and then from 67 to 68 between 2044 and 2046."
      So your basis is wrong on both counts. Try doing some proper research and steer clear of newspapers, particularly the tabloids. Even then, take what all newspapers say as something to research .... do not take what they print as factual. It often is the opposite.

    The Brexit process is one of the most excruciating in the history of modern Western democracy. There are a lot of dishonest people in politics.
    The EU has not negotiated in good faith.
    Why can’t the UK PM simply state this and emphasize the benefits of a clear break.

    • @alantbaird
      @alantbaird 5 лет назад

      Two reasons, firstly there is very little evidence (if any) that the EU is negotiating in bad faith, they don't in fact seem to be negotiating at all since everyone agreed on the withdrawal agreement. Secondly, there aren't many benefits of a clean break.

    • @alantbaird

      @@NeightrixPrime Erm, what? What invasion? It's not "sanctions" the EU is threatening it's simply losing all the preferential treatment we get for being a member. We're not paying to leave, we're simply paying what we owe (and would owe whether we leave or remain). As for "sovereignty", I really don't know what Brexiteers mean anymore. Can you name two things the EU has forced on the UK against the will of our government/parliament? As for unelected bureaucrats ruling over us, that's what we have in Britain. A significantly higher percentage of the UK system is unelected compared to the EU. We have a much bigger civil service and the House of Lords is both unelected and wields some actual power.
