- This is a step by step painting tutorial of a blue and turquoise sunlit background. I painted it for an acrylic silhouette painting tutorial. It is painted on 9" x 12" canvas paper. It can also be painted on a regular canvas in any size. This background can also be painted with other blendable colours. #studiosilvercreek

I love this. Thank you! I'm watching this 6 years after you uploaded 😅
love all your videos but can I say I like the ones with audio a whole lot more thank you very much for sharing
Absolutely marvelous
very nice.beautiful colour combination
Gorgeous!! Thank you!
Beautiful work! Exactly what I need for my new paint, thank you so much :)
As I was watching you paint this, I was imagining a silhouette of a shark. Reminds of being in the ocean and looking up at the sky from under water. Beautiful
Great imagination! That silhouette would look nice on this background. I have a shark silhouette uploaded to this channel too. The silhouette is from the perspective of the bottom of the ocean looking up towards the sun. It has two sharks circling their prey...the prey are the viewers of the painting....LOL
Wow beautiful imagination 🥰💕
beautiful!!
This is soooo beautiful i am really inspired by your work 💯💯‼️ great artist youre💕
Thank you acrylic is difficult for me.. Much helpful ideas
Lovely art work
Wow your so calm🎨
Hi. Thank you for this tutorial.
I get inspired by your paintings soooo often. I love the way you paint and I love your silhouettes. They just inspire me to go paint my own! (Not the same obviously)
:)
Thank you. Yaaa! Go paint! It's so much fun. I don't mind if you paint this one. Please share your art with me. :) I'm Instagram @Art_by_Leanne #StudioSilverCreek
So beautiful background, love the harmony between the colors. Thank You for sharing with us, hopefully I'm gonna use this technique in the near future. :)) Best wishes from Hungary

Hi Leanne...I like you are chatting during your videos. That little bit really helps. Good job.
Thank you Cathy. :)
I just realized the audio is too low. I just bought a new micophone and I am technologically challenged. LOL. I'll figure it out.
:D
Loved it
I love this. Thank you.
Thank you.
BEAUTIFUL!! Loving your channel! 💗💗💗
amazing!
tres beau🎉🎉❤❤
awesome technique! You make it look so easy! I want to paint a full moon on top of this background. Is it doable????
Love this! Thank you!!
very fabulous
This is such a beautiful background, and you applied the paints so perfectly! You're very talented! I tried this technique last night, and I have to admit, it provided me with the dark to light contrast that I was looking for (going towards the center), but for some reason I couldn't get the brush strokes to stand out the way you did. Perhaps I should have added a bit more water. I love how the retardant makes the paint shine when it goes on, too. I was almost hoping it would stay like that. It was a fun technique to use, and Lord knows... if everything turned out perfectly the first time, we'd be making the video instead of you, hahaha!. I think this will be my "go-to" background for any future paintings that don't have a specific background. As I said, it's beautiful, and actually fun to do. Thank you so much for sharing this video! New subscriber here. BTW, has anyone ever told you your voice is wonderfully soothing? Thanks again!
Your voice is so relaxing 🙏🏻😌 #asmr
Amazing its beautiful
Thank you. :)
Great 👍👍
ASMR
It's good
very nice
Amazing ❌️
Is it possible to use gold leaf on top of the acrylic paint background?
Thats a beautiful piece keep it up👏❤️ i was wondering if i wanted to use oil paint do i follow the same technique but instead of a retarder a thinning medium? Thank you 😊
very nice ma'am .
here which liquid use in colour .and which types of colour use .
can u give me name.?
I suspect that canvas paper would easily bend and buckle while drying. Would not a gessoed wood board be a better option?
It buckles slightly when it is wet but naturally flattens itself out when drying. The paper was made for painting. A stretched canvas would be my next choice. I actually repainted this on a bigger (12" x 24" canvas). The dimensions of the new painting changed, the trees are much taller. I like it just the same. Thanks for watching Em. :)
Thank you for posting this video! In fact, I just painted the aqua background on my canvas and waiting for it to dry. I'll try the rest tomorrow. :)
Wowww this is so beautiful... thanks for the technique 🤗 can u advice how to store the leftover paint on the palette.. mine dry out easily 😕
Of you havent discovered it already sta-wet pallette can keep ur paint wet for days ...plenty of ppl make a diy version too
@@sydneyh7160 So glad I chose to read the comments! I never heard of the sta-wet palette, so I looked it up. Great idea... thanks so much for sharing your comment!
Can you tell more about your work
Did you use water to dilute colour?
is it ok if we use white sheet instead of a turquoise one
Yes. This one was just pre-painted. It was originally white.
Can a beginner paint this ?
Im painting a flamingo but i think a yellow background with orange and whithe would look cooler than the blue one you showed on my painting what do u think
Thant sounds great!
Great tutorial, but very quiet, could hardly hear you in some parts
Lesley Matthewson nice
Sujata choudhary lmao
Can I use water instead of the retarder? I'm gonna be painting a skateboard so I'm not worried that it would soak up the surface.
Can we do this with water colours?
Such a nice, thank you so much! It is relaxing to watch and love the colors you are using! Also love the cross-hatch pattern, nice canvas!
I’m paining an octopus on this for my stepdads bday
I heard you completely fine.
Great video.
Thanks for the feedback and Thanks so much for watching!
Would Goldens matt medium be used and give the translucent look and extend drying time? Also, what type of synthetic hairs would be best for acrylic painting? (gold taklon, etc) thanks. very much enjoy your painting tutorials
The volume cannot be heard on my iPhone. The video is great except for that, thank you.
Which sheet is this???
It is watercolour paper. You can use a canvas as well.
@@StudioSilverCreek is it have a particular name?
Nice. But no ASMR
Beautiful painting but what is the meaning of this painting
There isn't ALWAYS a meaning to EVERY painting. This is just a tutorial for whoever wants to paint a background like this but doesn't know how.
It's so hard to hear you
Manatee
Can we do calligraphy on it?
Omg that's what I'm gonna do.. ofc u can
I'm gonna do the kalma (la illaha illa Allah Muhammad ur rusool Allah) on it. I think ur a Muslim too (cuz of ur name) so Assalam o Alaikum!
Pretty but speak. you're very hard to hear
Thank you.
Yes, I just realized the audio is too low. Sorry about that. This was the first videos I recorded my voice with a new microphone. It took me hours to record and edit this video. Blah, technology sucks.
+StudioSilverCreek .I've never done a video so I'll give you props for doing that. I probably wouldn't even know where to start lol.
LOL. Thanks. :)
Difficult to hear audio.
Great tutorial but all your sentences sound like questions
no good 👎🏻👎🏻❌
i'll be honest. your voice sounds like Stitch but dryer, girlier, and more annoying. aside from your voice, your tutorial is very helpful for other artists.
I'll be honest. Your unnecessary comments hurt my feelings. I am not amused by the public shaming but at least my tutorial is helpful to others.
+StudioSilverCreek you go gurl! ❤❤
