Have just done this installation. I liked the bleed demonstration as it really helped me get the air out of the system by being patient with the method. As always your videos are very clear and helpful. Many thanks.👍

I wish I'd seen this a week ago, I've just spent more than £100 on adaptors to convert my daughter's cx bike!

Did my first hydraulic build in 2019 using shimano tiagra 4720 groupset which came with flat mount calipers! but I had a post mount frame! Genesis cda20 ,did exactly this using mtb calipers which worked just fine , then built a gravel/touring bike using a GRX 10 speed groupset but again with a post mount frame Genesis cda10, MTB calipers work without any problem with hydraulic road shifters, only recently have I built a bike with a flat mount frame and through axles and so have got to use those tiagra flat mount calipers I stored away, I will say this, on long Alpine descents when loaded up with bike packing gear the heat dissipation ie. better braking is noticeably better with the finned pads you get with the flat mount calipers! ice tech rotors also make a difference! but for most UK based rides you will not tell the difference.
What I learned was it's easy to go from flat mount to post mount (adapters available no problem) but post mount to flat mount !!! only a few bespoke manufactures one in Canada at £40 + shipping per adapter !!

Very informative video. Could I use these callipers with 105 R7020 levers on my CAAD 10 disc Black Inc?

Next month, if my package arrived, I will build my m7120 caliper - rx812 sub lever - r7120 sti, chimaera build. Hoping it will work well.
I don't know how the servowave works on the sti, I only used flat bar servowave lever before, and new 105 sti doesn't have servowave.

Hello sir, I've done this just now however the brake lever is really bottoming out before it engages the brake. The mechanic said that it is because of the post mount conversion. But do you think a proper rebleed would solve it?

Nothing to do with the post mount conversion! The brake lever feel should be exactly the same as with a flat mount caliper. The brakes need bleeding probably and that will solve the problem!

Is the 410 different in any way from the mt200 caliper? How about the m6100 (aside from being able to use cooling fins)?
