Joshua Schmidt created it and won YCS Bologna with that deck, making it popular. Other runick variants include Plunder Patroll Runick (some Regional tops), Naturia Runick (won Josh the WCS 2023), Ice Barrier Runick and Lightsworn Runick (newer builds and thus past Runick's prime so not much success, post SE few decks could keep up with 15 starters and 20 handtraps)

Honestly, you couls probably pile White Forest, Runick, and Centur-Ion with a Bystial Engine and do fine. All those things have a surprising amount of overlap in how they can be used.
Tear's gonna get Anaconda banned for its seldom used secondary effect one day(change to Dark used for things like Super Poly and Curious), and that'll be hilarious.
Honestly, the Bystial Runick player did great but he made some unfortunate mistakes and did some things wrong. I came second place myself with Bystial Runick and I feel like if he didnt make those mistakes he could have won.

You can always activate effect under Skill Drain it doesn't prevent activation, As long as the cost put your into different zone your good cause it's affecting field only.
My only negative is that I have grown so tired of watching SEFK vs Yubel. I know they are meta and very strong, but I just get bored watching it especially when it is so common.
