    Great video and I love your work Russel... Thanks a lot!! Just one question: What to do if I have a project with more than 99 points? I alrrady tried the "Litchi Tool PUBLIC 29/06 V9.0" from Alexay but that didn't work well on my Mac system. I've also tried to split my drawing into several projects but when using the "RUclips External_Litchi_Transformation_Tool.ipynb" I find problems with configurating the elevation of the 2nd mission.. can uou still follow me? please advise! Thanks in advance!!

    Tried doing this with a heart but did not get the results. One part of the heart was a 90 degree angle the part did not. Any suggestions?

    Great videos! Do you have a picture of how you mounted the light? I'm assuming this is the lumecube 2 you are using and not the strobe?

    • @RussellKlimas
      @RussellKlimas  9 месяцев назад

      I just gaff tape a lumecube to the back of the drone. Though now I prefer to use the 3mdual lock with the lumecube strobe because there isn't a bloom effect and it's lighter.

    Russell good video - I'm still lost on how to tell what waypoint I'm headed towards to I know when to cover and uncover my lens...??? It's not in my litchi mbile app display and yes I add a focus point in on my drive and just tested it? I'll post a pic for the group... I'll have to try your updated method..... looks more efficient..

    Hi old video, but I have tried it. Now the code wants to have meters. I have put in 20 meters, but when I look at the 3Dpath in GE the path is 200 meters up, I have also tried 10 meters, but almost 200 meters high in GE too. Is there anywhere else i have to put in the height? Thanks for this awesome tutorial. EDIT. Now I looked in Litchi Mission Hub, my first waypoint is the lowest, and it says 10 meters. So there is something odd happening when i export and open the 3D-path in GE.

      Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same issue. When I create the csv file in the online program, I put in 6.1 meters (roughly 20ft) and do the whole import to litchi, then export to google earth and it puts the image way way high in the sky.

    • @RussellKlimas
      @RussellKlimas  2 года назад

      Getting a text box from where? At what point in the video are you referencing? Litchi adds a bunch of info to make it work, more than just latitude and longitude.

    Hi Russel!!! Been watching your videos and I love them, especially this one! I was wondering how you rotate the mission in litchi when you're done, just so that it doesn't face north, since I want to make these type of flights, but in other directions.
    Thanks!!

    • @RussellKlimas
      @RussellKlimas  2 года назад +1

      You can either rotate it in the vertical translator using the 3rd option OR with litchi on the bottom left there is a curvy arrow. Click that and then click around near your drone light painting. You should see a yellow x with the curvy arrow on the ground now. Now over over a point and your mouse will turn into a curvy arrow then left click and hold to move it around.

      Hey Matt!
      Here is my IG: instagram.com/lightnlense
      As for the light I use the lumecube strobe because it's light weight, last 6 hours, and is half the amount of brightness as a full power Lumecube.
      I use an old school mavic pro!

    Hey, Russell! This is truly amazing and such an inspiration! My drone is Mavic Air (the OG), so there seem to be no mounts for the lume cube. I use velcro to attach the light and obviously there is only one cube. So, my question is related to the part where you adjust the rotation of the drone. Am I correct to assume that you only do that for the sake of not having to block the camera view while the drone travels to the next element? If so then I can still block the camera, without setting the rotation, since the rotation is not affecting the visibility of the light?

    • @RussellKlimas
      @RussellKlimas  3 года назад +1

      Yes that is correct! I only rotate it so I don't have to block the camera view by hand. The added benefit to using the rotation is if I want to do video.

      @pavel.suchkov 3 года назад

      @@RussellKlimas ah, yes! The video of making the painting! That can not be done with blocking
