Got the 8s. Love it. I am a runner where knees can no longer do 5 days a week of running even with great shoes and proper form. I do not like bicycles as legs only and hunched over half the time. Like being upright and simulating running.

Just checked their website. The 8 speed bike is $2600. Can't imagine what the 11 speed is going for. I'm sure it's not in my budget.

@hotfootage Normally people buy the SR because they want exercise a full body workout.
Electrical support could be helpful in a few situations, but in general it does not fit the basic concept oft the SR, i think.
Greetings from Germany, where i never have seen any SR or Elliptigo, although you can buy the Elliptigo in (very) few shops.

I did not find it relaxing to ride. Pedaling and balancing an unstable device like that felt like labor. You have to have space so that you do not care about going in a straight line. Not for a narrow corridor like a bike path or a bike lane. I returned mine. I am a pretty fit guy , but a senior. I love skiing , where you turn all the time. But some things , well , one wants to easily go straight.

    Bikes are still better.
You can haul more gear, do errands and go farther and off roading with them.
    Can this POS do that?
    Nope.
And when, not if, this thing breaks down as everything with movable parts does then expect to pay a fortune for repairs.

I bought one , and tried it out. I am in my late seventies, but fit, being a very good skier and still doing a little running. The machine was a lot of work to ride, and I returned it. I felt that it was too wide for a bike path, as the outside wheel would be within only an inch or two of the lane on the bike path. After a lot of practice in a big parking lot, I took it out on the bike path , a mile out and a mile back. It could be done but was just not fun. If you look at the videos , they are in a big wide street, and the path wiggles from side to side. NOT for a bike path or a bike lane for that matter.
