You can also the transfer the IC next to the flex cable to have not only True Tone enabled, but to avoid the annoying “your screen may not be original” message.
I have noticed what it does on my MBP, whenever I close the lid I see my external display colors get noticeably bluer (True Tone doesn't work with the lid closed, ofc)

Does reprogramming the display also avoid the “not a genuine apple display” message? I’ve heard that message comes up even if the display is replaced with a real Apple display from a donor device.

If you want color accuracy, disable true tone. It messes so much with color temperature. And if you lose true tone, just turn on and customize your night filter, it’s basically the same but unlike true tone you have control over it
I wish RUclips would put in a feature to where we'd hear a little sound byte when we liked a video because then I'd be liking all your videos just to hear the crunch, aside from watching the entire video till then end, of course.

Literally yesterday I replaced a battery in an iPhone 7. Had a good crunch too… But the 6 and two 6 Plusses had a snappier crunch when I replaced something there…
That isnt actually 100% true. It isnt tricking the iphone to think it never had a screen replaced. Its just transferring the truetone function over to the new screen like you said. Becaise if it did "Trick" the iphone. Then all the iphone 11 models and higher and some x models wouldnt give the error display message after a screen is replaced even though the tru tone was transferred over. The only way to "Fully trick" the iphone into thinking its an oem screen or it was never replaced is to also transfer the little chip thats on the back on the display as well. I watch ALOT of your videos and they are great. Keep up the good work!!

This happens with my iPhone, auto brightness is off but I changes my brightness depending on the area I’m in, it’s annoying because if it’s dark night and I’m in my car it will go all the way down, I like it’s at like 30% brightness.

If you work at a place that does calibration sure. Apple, GeekSquad, a few others. There's always the option of soldering the IC over as well.

No, you have to physically switch the soldered chips on the display for that, which is a lot more effort
I might be wrong there, but it does remove the message for me, so i’d say it does?
