I see a few comments asking about the possibility that the “temple” where the “abomination of desolation” takes place is actually the church because we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Some see this as necessary because they think we can’t have a temple in Jerusalem that is considered God’s temple at the same time as having the body of Christ who is the temple. Here’s my response to that. I think that you can have a temple in Jerusalem without it threatening our status as the temple of God. Certainly this was the case in the book of Acts. The apostles even partook in sacrifices in that temple. Those sacrifices weren’t a problem except when done in rejection of God but the temple was still the temple. Even a Preterist would have to affirm that because they see the abomination of desolation taking place in the physical temple of Jerusalem while affirming we are the ultimate temple of the Holy Spirit. I suppose you could just say the abomination of desolation is ONLY fulfilled in the body of Christ but then it seems quite odd that Mark 13 and Matthew 24 have it in response to a question about the physical destruction of the temple in Jerusalem.
@Mike Winger I would have to say that a third temple being built WOULD be in rejection of God. The act of building it at all would fly in the face of the warnings we see in Hebrews. We have a better high priest, a better sacrifice. To go back to the temple rejects God’s Grace in Christ. Therefore, I don’t see how that would be the temple of God. As a preterist I believe “the end of the age” was the end of the Jewish age, which finally came to an end in 70ad. The time between the resurrection/ascension and 70ad would then be considered the “last days” as Peter puts it quoting the book of Joel in his sermon on Pentecost. This is an area I am interested in but definitely agree that it is one that ought not cause divisions. Thank you so much for your teaching Mike, as a preterist, I have to say, with this video and your 6 views video you were very fair and gave me some things to research about my position, I love it! Keep up the good work; and God bless.
Something I have pondered is when Jesus said "let those in Judea flee to the mountains" we are conditioned by dispensational teachers into thinking this is a warning for them to flee for safety. However what if they flee because judgment is eminent? Maybe this coincides with the description in Revelation where they hide in the mountains and want the rocks to cover them.
The third temple is already built. It's underground. Under the temple mount, by the Western wall. It's spoken about in Ezekiel 8:8-12. You can find videos of it by looking at underground third temple

I have honestly thought about the “why” these important passages matter, in not that we should only just be looking for these signs, but to make ourselves ready for the coming of the Lord, in which your statement at the end I completely agree. Please pray for myself and all the believers to hold fast to the true teachings in the Bible and be active and intentional in serving out the purpose that we were created for.

@@veritasmuy2407 That's awful. I've seen some terrible churches, too. Many of them don't really believe the Bible. Out of curiosity, have you tried a PCA church? It is important to find a group of people that can support you and that you can contribute to with the gifts you've received from God.
Hey Pastor Mike, I just wanted to say Thank You for all of your hard work and dedication to the WORD. I have grown and learned so much from listening to your teachings! You are truly a blessing!!! Keep it up brother!!

Just sayin' 😊 One hour later: Just looked up Jonathan Kleck out of curiosity. Sorry to say, but he is so obviously a FALSE PROPHET (and very arrogant). I needed to listen for only a few minutes before that became VERY OBVIOUS. Oh dear! Another one to add to the LIST 😟 Another half hour later: Wow! Have you actually LISTENED to this guy's "prophecies"!?? I've just spent a bit more time listening to things he has said. He is OFF-THE-WALL false!!!! Did you know that he prophesied, "from the Holy Spirit" that the world was going to experience major catastrophes in 2012, the end of the Mayan calendar? I mean, MAJOR CATASTROPHIC EVENTS!! I may not have the most fantastic memory, but I can't remember anything CATASTROPHIC in 2012. Can you?? He prophesied that God showed him that the Hoover dam was going to be blown up on 11/11/11. Finally, do you know HOW he CONFIRMS that the words he "receives from the Lord" are actually from the Lord? He uses a type of DIVINATION known as BIBLIOMANCY ( biblion = book, and manteia = divination by means of). But what is astounding is that the BOOK he USES is a THESAURUS!!! Seriously! He just plunks it down and opens it up and the word he sees in front of him is his CONFIRMATION FROM GOD! Then he finds a few other words under the same heading and HIGHLIGHTS them in yellow to SHOW them to the world (on his RUclips channel) as being THE WORDS OF THE LORD! Surely no one takes him seriously?? Not anymore!!? Surely not!?🤪🤪🤪

This is not a salvation issue, and we are allowed to disagree, and I appreciate that you emphasize that. I also notice a lack of belittling or mockery of those who see it another way, which is very appropriate and brings glory to God and Christ. Thank you so much. I am new to this, and I am trying to understand everything. I feel that I am not going to have enough time to learn all that I need to know. I only know that I truly want to love as Jesus loved.
You will never understand it all. The most important fact to accept is found in 1Corinthians 15:1-4. That is foundational!’ Other truths will come as you read and apply what you do understand. Your passages as a born again believer are basically Romans -Philemon. Paul’s epistles! These books are for the Age of Grace which is what we are in today! We are no longer under law as written, but the law of God is written in the hearts of the believer! We walk by faith; not by sight! No signs; no wonders: those are specifically for the Jews! Faith saves you and faith keeps you! Without faith it is impossible to please God.
@@TheDianeC Yes. It's as Mike said, 'already,' and, 'not yet.' One doesn't necessarily cancel out the other. Look at our righteousness: We are POSITIONALLY RIGHTEOUS in Christ through His blood, we are BEING MADE RIGHTEOUS by sanctification through the Holy Spirit, we will be PERFECTLY RIGHTEOUS when Christ comes to meet us in the air. ALL of these are true, but not all at the same time. The kingdom of God is where Christ is obeyed and honoured as king - which is IN HIS CHURCH. Warnings precisely like the one in Mark 13, are why I simply cannot fathom how someone naturally derives a pre-tribulation understandings from scripture. In fact, the entire exercise of eschatological prophecy in scripture makes nearly 0% sense if you believe no one will be around, to whom it matters, when the prophecies events occur.
I tend to agree. though I believe that there will a be a "Noah's Ark" type of situation that Christians can choose to follow and be protected during the latter half of the tribulation. What this is, Im not sure, although Im leaning towards the "woman and her seed being led to safety" combined with Jesus telling us to pray "to be found worthy to escape these things". That there will be some place e can go to be safe from the antichrist for 3.5 years. I suspect it wont be a hospitable place, and a lot of Christians wont want to go... It be a big leap of faith moment.. The Two Witnesses, or Elijah may inform us of this place. FWIW, total conjecture on my part. Ultimately I dont really care if someone is pre, mid or post trib (In whatever form that takes) but I tend towards post trib. Your salvation doesnt depend on it directly. But I worry for people who are die-hard pre-tribbers, because they will have a crisis of faith if that ideology turns out to be incorrect.
@@JasonAdank There will be no place for Christian believers to hide. Only sinful Christian believers will go through the Great Tribulation reserved for evildoers. God rescued righteous Lot and Noah before utter destructions, and He will rescue 'perfect' Christians who are ready to enter pure Heaven. We are to "encourage one another with these words." Presently, we are going through the "Birth Pains" foretold by Jesus which are only a prelude to Tribulation Times. Jesus will come at the end of the Birth Pains, and before the Great Tribulation for those left behind. He will come again on the Mount of Olives to keep the human race from utter destruction. Some will get to know God and repent during His millennium reign on 🌎. Some will not and will go with Satan, when he comes to collect them!
Nothing in it makes sense without the rapture. The Bible says we are not appointed to wrath and will be caught up to be with him for the wedding supper of the lamb. It mirrors a Jewish wedding but instead of 7 days its seven years. This is the time of Jacob's trouble and the abomination of desolation takes place at the third Jewish temple. The 144,000 that are saved are 12000 from each tribe of the 12 tribes of Judah. Then we ride back with Jesus to Armageddon which couldn't happen. God focuses back on Israel in that time and we are no longer in the same disposition as now.

Love how you wrapped this up ~ the struggle we have in two areas. Comforts and pleasures that cause complacency and love of the world, and difficulties and pressure to conform to the world to avoid persecution, and question God’s plan and goodness. I may have embellished a little. I always think about the 2 doctrinal pitfalls of legalism and lawlessness, but I love this more practical application on overcoming and staying true to Jesus.
Great video Mike; as a Preterist, I appreciate the approach you took. I do have this one question concerning your view. The Futurist view states that the temple needs to be rebuilt in Jerusalem before end-time events can take place. My question to them is what would the purpose of rebuilding the temple be? The obvious answer would be to reinstate the Old Covenant sacrifices. According to Hebrews, those sacrifices could never take away sin; however, Jesus's single act covered all.
...every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, .... 14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. (Heb 10:11-14) What is more likely everything was fulfilled in 70 AD, or that a system of sacrifices that never worked in the first place needs to be reinstated?
I think the whole point of the tribulation and end times is to convince the Jews who don't recognize that Jesus in the Messiah, that He is in fact the Messiah. So right now Israel is still expecting their messiah (who will end up being the Antichrist) and so they build a temple (they still believe in sacrifices because they believe they're still under what we know as the Old Covenant) and then the Antichrist will demand to be worshiped in the temple. So the temple won't be for Christians and it won't be honoring God at all. I hope I understood and answered your question. Sorry if you already knew that or it wasn't about what you were asking. God bless!
Well I’m not saying I believe this but in response to your question. Jews still believe they need a temple upon them not accepting Christ. It’s not Christianity, next when Christ returns, he reigns from the temple, so a temple must be built, a Jew who hasn’t accepted Christ yet could probably be saved by keeping the law along with those who believe that Christ is the messiah, Christian.
Mike, I just wanted to thank you for all of the time and effort put into studying and sharing/teaching with us. My wife and I are raising our young children and these times have been so strange in regard to current christian doctrine/theology. Were stuck in an awkward sandwich, close family (brother/sister with young children) on one side that (recently 3yrs)) dove head first into reformed theology (calvinism), and on the other side close personal friends (another married couple our age, with young children) that have gone the opposite way into progressive christianity (following Richard Rohr). Its a close circle for us, it's literally like a mirror of the USA right now. All that to say your teaching has been a significant tool to help out in discussions and to help us stand strong without being swayed by every different doctrine being pushed. Praying for you brother.
Nick, I just want to say I pray the Lords blessing and guard over you and your family, especially your little ones. Thank you for standing in the truth and may your faith grow stronger. I pray the Lord will so use your light in the lives of those you care for and love. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray.

We are so busy looking that we miss it. Having eyes to see but cannot see. Ears to hear but cannot hear. The word is Spirit. God is spirit. Only the spirit can reveal the true abomination to us. Wisdom not as the world gives(which is full of confusion and debates) but from above!
You have just explained much of what I didn't understand. I've had a futurist view as well but many things I didn't fully understand and my church is saying most has already happened, which I couldn't see in scripture. So Thank You!
the gentile paul was with entered into the temple thus making the abomination happen. as gentile entering into the temple uncircumcised is a abomination to God. now the Kingdom of God is here. as it is Inside of us as Jesus said.
Man you've got me listening to an hour long, indepth Bible study....and learning something....and liking it. Gee thanks. I hope you're happy with yourself. 🙂
Interestingly, both Jesus and Paul seem to say the Church will be around to witness the "abomination of desolation". That would seem to argue against a pre-trib rapture.
„And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.“ Acts 1:9-11 KJV In like manner: in peace for His friends, His children, His Church. Post tribers believe in martyrdom (which is a work...) for the church, but Christ will return to gather His church before the time of wrath...
@@dominicwinterberger1058 A work is something that you do, not something that is done to you. Martyrdom as such cannot qualify as a work. What would be a work would be to hurt yourself but this is not what people are arguing will happen.
@@dominicwinterberger1058 The passage from Acts doesn't tell us when the Rapture will occur. The Rapture occurring before the time of wrath could mean before the 7 bowls being poured out. That would place it sometime in the 2nd half of the tribulation.
You are correct. I’ve been studying 50 years asking the Lord to give me understanding . Only the Lord can give you understanding. I am filled with the Holy Ghost. Babtized in Jesus Christ Name.
I was just thinking about this concerning the "drag in church" videos I am seeing going around. We are literally praising pride in the houses of God. I don't know that this is the abomination of desolation but it has to be close. Pray and pray hard for repentance for delay is great mercy. I understand the prophecy concerns the temple in Jerusalem but all things are foreshadowed as warnings for those who will be warned
Ps I really appreciate the work that pastor Mike puts into his Bible study while I may not agree with everything that is taught but it is a blessing to see him exercising his God given calling and gifting
You say that you don't agree with some of what he teaches, which would seem to indicate that you believe that he is teaching false doctrine. If he is, does it follow that he still has a "God given calling and gifting"?
@@tomwardle8446 Just because he disagrees on some topics doesn't mean he thinks Mike teaches false doctrine. For example I recently watched Mike's video about tattoos and his conclusion is that it isn't wrong to have or get one. However, if you're considering getting one as a Christian then you should be mindful of people who do think it's wrong and get it in a spot that is easy to cover. Now there are a lot of people who disagree and think it's wrong to get a tattoo at all, but it isn't a topic that is core to what we need to believe in order to be Christians. Therefore, for some topics it's perfectly okay to disagree, and still think Mike is following his God given calling.

I am a partial preterist after much study and research I personally believe preterism explains it the best biblically. However I cut my teeth on Mike So I always have much love and respect for his material and position. I would love for Jeff Durbin and Mike Winger do a friendly debate on this secondary issue.
Dear Mike Winger, I have found something huge that I honestly think needs to be looked at. So you know how newer translations of the Bible don't include acts 8:37, well around the year 180 AD an early church father named Irenaeus wrote a book called "Against Heresies" and in this book Irenaeus quotes acts 8:37 in (Against Heresies, 3.12.8). This is huge because this book quotes Acts 8:37 and it predates some of the earliest manuscripts of the new testament. Here is the quote: "that this was Jesus, and that the Scripture was fulfilled in Him; as did also the believing eunuch himself: and, immediately requesting to be baptized, he said, "I believe Jesus Christ to be the Son of God."(Against Heresies, 3.12.8). This is very profound to me and I feel stuck. Edit: I am not a KJV onlyist. This is just something that I found.
It is a good statement, and so obvious for the testimony in reality of every believer's position in Christ. Also, in the early church, believers were baptized immediately as the normal process. So it is fine if Irenaeus would quote it. There were several statements, either oral from Jesus' and early apostle ministries, or written by early Christians, that made the rounds and were included in the writings of others. So it is a genuine practice of the early church, as it spread so quickly, that we cannot line it up perfectly. There were not many university libraries and archives that weren't in peril from the persecutions of the day. So, eventually, we have records of it in some gospel manuscripts. Early or late, it was a great thing to quote and state as testimony, and/or copy down from the statements of other early believers. Old Testament and New Testament manuscripts were preserved with different historical and practical measures over the years. That is what makes God so evidently sovereign in preserving both sacred scripture AND the souls of his people throughout time.
Why does this trouble you? The doctrine are elsewhere repeatedly. Also, I’m looking at the version I’m reading through now; Charles Stanley’s Life Principle’s Bible in NKJV, and it’s in there almost like Irenaeus has it. The church fathers often paraphrased. I don’t see why this is huge.
@@HotelCharliHill It’s huge because it was removed and it didn’t need to get removed. Especially if we have early church fathers quote if this very verse.
Really good video. Thanks. I'm preaching on the abomination of desolation at our church tomorrow and will recommend that people watch this episode. I agree there's a strong case for a future fulfilment of the A of D. One point of difference - regarding your previous video about earthquakes, etc not being signs - is I believe that if there abomination of desolation can have more than one fulfilment (ie. 167BC, 67AD, and future), it is possible that the signs leading up to the A of D may also have dual fulfilments (eg. nation rising up against nation having a future aspect, as per Revelation 6). Yes, we need to beware of claiming that every earthquake is a fulfilment of Mark 13 or Matthew 24. But considering the dual-fulfilment nature of some prophecies, it is possible that the last of the last days will see an increase in wars, earthquakes, famines, etc before the end, and that these will alert followers of Jesus that the end is drawing near.
There are a lesser and greater fulfilment. Case in point, catholicism is lesser and islam is greater.. in all point fulfillment. Same as this Beast and harlot Woman that rides her. So when mecca goes vatican goes as well!
The ottoman then coming revived ottoman that turkey's edrogen is speaking about with desire to bring back, is this Beast of the Sea, while saudi arabia is that Woman in the Desert that rides this Beast.
These occurrences is what is showing us that Perilous Times are indeed here, the Falling Away has occurred in and around the time that Israel had come back. We are seeing is fruits now which will climax at the tribulation which the A.O.D. points us to say "the tribulations here!" And they in Judea and Jerusalem must flee. But how long a wait we have in between no one knows, is at that climax where we start the countdown to the Revelation and Return of Jésus-Christ.
1rst, the Revelation of Jesus, after the tribulation, coming in the Clouds of Heaven to gather the Church, and then after the Wrath, His Return to earth with us and His armies.
The amazing and perfect plan of God, is that I always wanted to know what the abomination of desolation is, but it never came to my mind, that it may be related to A.I., or to my dream until today when lI listen to your biblical study! HE knows why and when and how, and gives HIS explanation in perfect timing! There is why thing I have learned is that we should never question GOD’S way for HE is beyond perfect, and I live in amazement of HIS DIVINE PERFECTION and BEAUTY and LOVE!
🤓🤯😳🤣😂🤣 I have had to listen to this three times… And I’ll probably listen a couple more times. I’m so thankful for the hunger God has given me for his Word. Thank you, Pastor Mike! I am so grateful for you. 📖🙌👑🎚⚔️🛡
Gotta love the preterist view; the predominant, mainstream Christian view for 1,500 years, right up to 1948. Check out Joshua 21:43, 45 where every land promise to Israel was fulfilled in Joshua’s time. Moreover, since the cross, Israel is spiritual not physical.
@@fluentreasoningchannel5778 While I am sympathetic to partial preterism and have read 2 of DeMar's books, one cannot rightly claim the historical priority of preterism as you have. Historicism was clearly the view of the Reformers' and Amill was previously dominant since Augustine. Premill had a strong showing until the Counsel of Orange. Preterism proper emerged in the 1800s, particularly with Russell. It's dominance could scarcely be 100 years.
I appreciate your time on this. If you look at Jewish judgement language the preterist view makes more sense in many verses. I'm a partial preterist personally. I encourage people to read Gary demar and Kenneth gentry. Also, read the first chapters in revelation. It says these things must shortly take place. Here we are 2000 years later. The time revelation was written is debated.
If you think about this in terms of the individual rather than just a global view, having past, present, and future approach makes sense. If all of the saved will endure what is spoken some events will be future in your walk with Jesus, some will be in the present, and some in the past. There is an individual return of Jesus in each persons life when we are meet with our own death, and then a likely a global return when the world ends. Viewing this helps to understand a past present future approach and helping to separate out what is a global event and what is an individual event. A global event is in my opinion irrelevant since we will all be faced with death in our life and United with Jesus if we have been saved by the grace of God. Thank you for all of your research and well prepared discussions. Truly a blessing.

The abomination od desolation cant be placed where only priests can see it...when you read the passage its got to be placed somewhere were everyone can see it! It says when you see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not be people in judea flee to the mountains. So everyone must be able to see it or how would anyone know?
There will be global TV ( to put it simply) and the Anti Christ will have it televised all over the World when he enters the Temple and claims himself as the true Messiah. === Abomination of Desolation
If you beat the Scriptures long enough they'll confess to anything. All Bible prophecies have partial fulfillments, sometimes several, which teach about the final and complete fulfillment.
Great job! @56:52 - Totally agree! The Olivet discourse gives us details regarding both events. I say that as Matthew 24:3 provides additional context in his recording of question of the disciples: 1. "Tell us, when will these things be?" The immediate context being the authoritative affirmation that not one stone would be left upon another - The destruction of the Temple 70AD. 2. The second twofold question only found in Matthew - "And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" - Antichrist, Cosmic signs, Literal Return etc..

Mike, I have been actively seeking understanding of the Bible and growing my relationship with the Lord for many years now and find your ministry to be aligned with scripture (major point of reference in my mind), and to be heartfelt, interesting and refreshing so thank you so much for what you’re doing for us. I hope God continues to use you to bring others to a saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I would encourage you and others interested in this subject to seek out and watch Pastor Allen Nolan series on the End Times: Olivet Discourse and Book of Revelations. He also aligns with your message and offers and even deeper dive into the topic. God Bless
This was extremely well done. Thank you for this Mike. I completely agree with the view that you see to be true. It certainly makes the most sense to me. Your work on this channel is very important and a great tool for those of us still learning. God bless.
That was interesting hearing about Chuck Smith at the end. When I was a kid, we attended his church, or maybe it was just one of his offshoots, but most of my memory is after we left that church. A portion of his congregation left, and formed Calvary Bible Church in Milpitas, CA, which has since closed its doors sadly. Nothing important here. Just trudged up an old memory lol
Here's an interesting twist. When you study Jewish Eschatology (from the Talmud) and compare it with Christian Eschatology, you can see that their obsession with the "conquering king" aspect of Isaiah will lead them into believing that the AntiChrist is actually the Messiah on his first appearance. Eventually many of them will see through the deception at some point. But not at the beginning...
@@diannagillespie4590 No. IMO Hes the flavor of the month apparently, but he'll fade into the background soon. That said, lets watch and see. In both versions of eschatology (Jewish vs Christian), the 'messiah'/antichrist will defeat all of Israel's enemies (ie hostile muslim nations) in some sort of military campaign. This is what leads him to becoming the 'hero'. I dont see that happening with this guy.
I really enjoyed how you studied Mark 13 and shed light through Matthew 24 of the Abomination of Desolation. I recently did a study on Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 and it appears Luke 21 was given earlier in the day and took place in the Temple, and Matthew 24 and Mark 13 were given later in the day at the Mount of Olives which explains why the events in Luke 21 don’t match up with the events we read about in Matthew 24 and Mark 13. One thing that really helped our study is when we look at the events through the events that take place during the 7 year tribulation instead of the Church Age. One thing a lot of Christians seem to overlook is that the disciples had no clue about the Church Age as well. God Bless You Brother, Ron Smith Good News from God Ministries
I love how the “weakness” in the futurist view actually just made a stronger case for it! 🎉👍🏼 that was super helpful, Pastor Mike, thank you so much! I believe the same way, but you really helped to connect the dots here and I am so grateful!
The Abomination of Desolation is when the Pope moves his throne to the Temple of God built by Constantine in the 4th century, which is inside the facade of the Dome of the Rock. Sun worshipers used Temples. The Hebrew people used the House of Yahweh which was destroyed in 70 A.D. Zion is the Righteous place. The name Jerusalem is a lie.Christians ,Muslims and Jews will share The Temple of God since they each have different Sabbaths. Muslims on Friday;Jews on Saturday; Christians on Sunday. The Pope will oversee it all.
@@framboise595 But have you done word studies on the original Greek and Hebrew to see how the original meanings and context can shed light on the passage? (I have not personally, but the study of others here has helped me with this and other passages of Scripture.) What are your beliefs here? Don’t forget 2 Peter 3:7-9: But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. In your biblical view, how does this passage not support the futurist view?
@@framboise595 so out of curiosity, do you fall under post-mil? I think we do our best to understand these things, holding loosely to our own understanding because God knows exactly what he means. I know that all of that is important, but I also know the Pharisees thought they knew exactly what it meant to about Messiah, and they couldn’t have been more wrong. I really don’t want to fall into that trap! I read, I try to understand, I try to see if there is partial fulfillment, complete fulfillment, future fulfillment, knowing that I see now in the mirror dimly. And I trust the Holy Spirit to enlighten my heart along the way as he sanctifies me (and you!🥰) through his love and work in our hearts. ♥️ I don’t think any of this makes Christ a liar, though. HI MIKA 😍 so nice to see her. Just adds a bonus to your teachings. Thank you so much Mike, the work the Lord is doing through your videos is life changing. Bless you!
I think the prederist view is a lot weaker now, in October 2023, as we watch what’s happening in Israel. We very well MIGHT be seeing the start of some biblical events in real time.
The abomination of desolation is exactly what Luke said it was. When Jerusalem was surrounded by armies, which took place in around 67AD when the siege of Jerusalem started.
Clearly not because the earth still exists... the abomination is the marker of the end times, but the earth still exists. It isn't the destruction of the temple because Jesus isn't clear for all to see, for every knee to bend.
@@AR15andGOD How did you miss the line where Luke said "when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies?" That is the line that compliments "the abomination of desolation" in MT 24 and MK 13. Its in there!
Jerusalem was first surrounded by the Syrian legion during the Jewish revolt in 66AD, which pulled back unexpectedly and lead to Roman defeat at the battle of Beth Heron. This afforded the first opportunity for people to escape the city. It’s generally a waste of time convincing futurists of anything factual as they’re expecting the end of the world rather than a period of time. Still I’m sure they’re salivating at the prospect of yet another left behind fantasy : this current one with Kevin Sorbo is entitled “the rise of the Antichrist” And who could resist that: better bring your popcorn chaps.
Would it be too much to say I love you brother and how God's wisdom rests on you. I did a study myself on the 'abomination that causes desolation" and by letting scripture interpret scripture it can be understood. And I totally agree with this teaching you provide on this topic. But I do believe that the Spirit of God gives us understanding also. Thank you for your diligent exegesis of the scripture.
55:48-55:59 The context of “Mark” is not the same as the context of Revelation. Revelation is certainly more abstract in Its scope than “Mark.” It’s basically impossible to pin Revelation’s references to an exact time and place.
absolutely agree. Mark was written about his experiences himself in the flesh. Revelation was written by John, after not only his fleshly( carnal) experiences, it was mainly from what he was caught up in the spirit and saw. He saw everything. From beggining of creation to the end. In the spirit, which we cannot even comprehend, without the guidance of the knowledge of the Holy Spirit. There were also many things he saw that he was not aloud to write about or tell anyone. We cannot imagine the wonderful blessings God sends us in one single day, much less his wonders and miracles throughout earthly time as we know it. God doesnt live in time as we do! But he understands what a week is, he took 7 days as an example to create everything. He has a concept of time, but doesnt do his works ( will) in our time as we know it.
The “clock can start ticking” after the Rapture happens and THEN the anti-Christ revealing himself as the “savior” for all of the economic upheaval that will take place. Then, at the 3 1/2 year mark, the anti-Christ will defile the Temple and announce himself to be God(abomination of desolation) and demand that ALL bow before him and worship him. Another 3 1/2 years will follow before the return of Jesus Christ as JUDGE.

Mark, thank you for this and your other videos. They made their way to my Google feed a few days ago, and I've been watching them since then. I'm really interested to hear your view on the rapture - if and when it takes place. I think that most Christians take the view that it is pre-tribulation, so we don't have to worry about any of this stuff - we will be elsewhere. However, if we are here for it, we should start to prepare. I'd love to hear your view on it, and a critique of the opposing sides, which I think is your strength in these videos.
When an individual proclaims himself to be God in their temple (their human body). 1 corintheans 6:19 kjv "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" God made our bodies to be temples. Not everyone has the holy spirit because some are proclaiming themselves to be God in their Tabernacle. It is an Abomination that leaves them desolate.
@Mike Winger
I would have to say that a third temple being built WOULD be in rejection of God.
Also some of the Rabbis have said they've already met with their Messiah, which we know it's not Jesus

(Heb 10:11-14)
What is more likely everything was fulfilled in 70 AD, or that a system of sacrifices that never worked in the first place needs to be reinstated?
God bless!
@@abigailmartin1 You described that very well. This is all very new for me, but that seems to be the best explanation.
You Just mix new covenant(quoting hebrews) with one sacrifice, with still doesnt believing jews who think they need sacrifices.
Why would scripture call it the temple of God if it weren't of God?
Well I’m not saying I believe this but in response to your question. Jews still believe they need a temple upon them not accepting Christ. It’s not Christianity, next when Christ returns, he reigns from the temple, so a temple must be built, a Jew who hasn’t accepted Christ yet could probably be saved by keeping the law along with those who believe that Christ is the messiah, Christian.
Love watching your videos. Simple, straightforward and to the point. I'm learning. Stay Blessed!

All this scatologic talk always remidns me of the great hope we have for the end times, past the tribulation. Thanks, Mike.
Interestingly, both Jesus and Paul seem to say the Church will be around to witness the "abomination of desolation". That would seem to argue against a pre-trib rapture.
„And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.“

Whereas I like Mike's calm demeanor, and the fact that he is trying to present what he believes to be the truths from the Bible, he is teaching dangerous falsehood. I think the reason he has so many false teachings is because he comes from a perspective of a religion that teaches that God's Spirit will give "truth" that contradicts the Bible, even though it is the very same Spirit that inspired the Bible writers. That is an extremely dangerous and glaring falsehood.

I am a partial preterist after much study and research I personally believe preterism explains it the best biblically. However I cut my teeth on Mike So I always have much love and respect for his material and position. I would love for Jeff Durbin and Mike Winger do a friendly debate on this secondary issue.
But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, you will know that her desolation is near. Luke 21:20 (Jerusalem 70 AD)
Irenaeus put Dan 9:27 as a fulfillment future to him. He was a premil . Against Heresies Book 5 Chapter 25 till the end.
Act 8:37 is in my bible. Phillip is the one that baptized the eunuch. KJV BTW!
Thank you Mike for this extremely informative presentation. Glory to God.

Great job! @56:52 - Totally agree! The Olivet discourse gives us details regarding both events. I say that as Matthew 24:3 provides additional context in his recording of question of the disciples:

Luke doesn't say that, I just read through it.

Then, at the 3 1/2 year mark, the anti-Christ will defile the Temple and announce himself to be God(abomination of desolation) and demand that ALL bow before him and worship him. Another 3 1/2 years will follow before the return of Jesus Christ as JUDGE.
Many will come in my name saying look here --- go NOT after them .
Vengeance is mine sayeth thee lord. . .
And the temple plans say it could be built in 1 -2 years that scares me I thought it would take a lot longer
R u sure abt it?
Got any links?
@Winter Solstice hmm if that's true then it would be grt, one step more towards our Lord's day
@@grandmasterlucien I'm not sure if this is a video but it should lead you to the video I watched a lot of them last year so I can't quite remember which one it is
Scares you? You should be praising God. Can’t wait to have Him reign over this dump. Maranatha!!!
Love your teachings. I belong to Calvary Chapel in Richmond Virginia. I am so blessed to have found a church that teaches directly from the Bible. It feeds my soul! I am hungry for all credible teachings increasing my understanding of the Word. Thank you so much for your teachings.
Thanks so much for all your research and courage! God bless you in Jesus Christ. Sorry, for the short comments.
So glad you're doing this. Very impressed with how well you know this material.
Cute kitty! Maranatha brothers and sisters.
When an individual proclaims himself to be God in their temple (their human body).
1 corintheans 6:19 kjv "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"
God made our bodies to be temples. Not everyone has the holy spirit because some are proclaiming themselves to be God in their Tabernacle. It is an Abomination that leaves them desolate.
