I’m just annoyed that he said wake me up when October starts
OI
Fun fact: Aragog in the films was voiced by Julian Glover who also played Grand Maester Pycelle in Game of Thrones. His son Jamie Glover voices Lupin in the video games and also played Harry Potter in the West-End production of Cursed Child.
This is my fav new fact!
@@aarondavison4366 Here's another: Snape, Filch, Lucius Malfoy and the Sorting Hat in the games are all voiced by Allan Corduner who also voiced Gehrman the first hunter in Bloodborne. Edith Karpf who voiced Professor McGonagall and Professor Sprout voiced Alvina the cat in Dark Souls. Hagrid and Flitwick were voiced by Jonathan Kydd who was Scirvir the Wanderer in Demon's Souls.
@@HellsGayngel your facts are fun
@@JamesSmith-es1mr One more:
Ron in the games based on books 1-4 was voiced by Gregg Chilingirian who played Zoroaster in Da Vinci's Demons and Domenico Michele in A Discovery of Witches.
Harry in the games based on books 1-3 was voiced by Tom Attenborough, Richard Attenborough's grand son, David Attenborough's great nephew. He also played Christoper Robin in the Tigger Movie.
Sirius Black was voiced by David Robb who is also Doctor Clarkson in Downton Abbey.
Also General Veers and a baddy from Indiana Jones.
I love how all 3 of them go to a class but only one of them can learn the spell. Nevermind the rest of the students that also came to class.
And almost died without anything in hand.
I don't think this is cannon, but I like to imagine that only certain spells and schools of magic can be learned by what defines your connection to the magical world. But then again, I'm pretty sure that isn't how it works.
But this is how I explained many shortcomings in the story.
@@SirSkrall It absolutely doesn't work anything like that at all. This is just a tie-in game, it doesn't need headcanons to fix its shortcomings.
They just needed a reason for you to play as anyone other than Harry by giving them something to distinguish themselves aside from Harry being the athletic one, Ron finding beans and secret passages, and Hermione fitting in places the other two can't.
I like how instead of fighting the bogart like professor lupin actually had them do their first lesson he sends Harry, Ron, and Hermione off by themselves to solve basic puzzles and fight a giant cauldron
It's because Harry, Ron and Hermione are the special ed class. So while the main class is taught, they're sent on little adventures. It's in the manual man. XD
Was not at all prepared for AC/DC to pop up at 3:13 but I'm very glad it did.

Official report from the Ministry inquiry: Death by suicide in the one moment in two weeks when all of the Dementors weren't looking
That's the "Magical Bag of Bags" that Uriel Potter used in the war against Sauron in the year 234 BBY, Genius!
I am seriously impressed by this damn game. The first two were pretty typical crapped-out movie games, flying around the big open Hogwarts grounds was the only remotely fun part. This game actually has some personality, the occasional clever line or bit of dialogue, and they made up some fairly decent puzzles and gameplay involving all three protagonists. It has *way* more effort put into it than I ever expected...even if everyone does look like the Sims.
Look into the chamber of secrets for pc mate that game had a lot of personality
(These games were different for each platform)
I'll have ya know, this is a _Philosopher's Stone_ and _Chamber of Secrets_ positive channel! I do, however, agree that this game rocks! The PC versions of all three do as well. (I've only played the PC versions of the first two with the exception of messing about at Ron's house on my friend's PS2 version of CoS.)
I like how the first 3 had a slightly more toony aesthetic that makes it feel like it's more out of the books, the later games are all clearly based off the movies exclusively
@@lowhp_comic Not to mention how the games started becoming wand-based shooters after the fourth one. (I mean, I get you can't really have a cozy run-around-Hogwarts-collecting-beans-and-wizard cards-game based on _The Deathly Hallows,_ but I'm sure they could've done _something_ that didn't involve turning it into «Harry Potter and the Gears of War» [nothing against _Gears,_ it just doesn't fit].)
@@cheezdoodle96 I think the fifth was very good. It had a huge open hogwarts, cool minigames, and the spell combat was not cover-based as far as I remember (more in line with earlier games, just strafing + auto-aim)
I love how this game is quite the jump forward, but still keeps aspects of the older game. Kinda like how games should be if there is a sequel lol
the 250 bean count is just how many you can carry you can shoot at the jars and bushes around the castle to get them B E A N S
9:31 Harry's apparently the only one of the 3 with any athletic ability.
To be fair, at this point in the series Harry is already a successful Quiddich player while Ron and Hermione were most known for playing chess and reading books. Harry is the designated jock in a group of nerds
Harry potter, the boy who jumps
22:10 The game's version of Lupin clearly hated the trio since he forced them to go through fire and ice chambers to collect a spellbook then set a giant living cauldron on them.

Some tips that might help at some point: you can flipendo the sliding blocks in the direction you want instead of pushing them by hand, and you can auto aim at a lot more stuff which will help a lot in situations like the hands of the monster or the salamanders

Lupin: 2 metric tons of ice!

Lupin:.....
Dumbledore: why did I hire you again?
20:08 ah cube world was so hyped. The glitch where archers or whatever could fly infinitely was fun!
Well that's it boys. Micky's comedy chops have peaked at that TNT - AC/DC cover. It's all downhill from here lads lol
I actually remember in the pamphlet that was along with the game, it was stated that Harry was "sporty because of him playing Quidditch, therefore he can jump further than the others" ... so, basically they turned him into a jock for this.
I mean, the books do mention Oliver's hellish training regimes, so Harry probably is the most built of the three.
He's also the most agile, but the books make mention of him being very fast in like the 2nd or 3rd chapter of PS.
@@Mr-Trox you are right about the books. I honestly never thought of Harry as a jock when I was a kid reading the books, because after all they are riding on broomsticks, so it‘s not like they are doing „the work“. I guess it‘s a similar argument one could have about Formula 1 drivers. They have to be sport, although they are „just driving a car“.
On contrary, Harry was never described as physically built. So the pamphlet description of him being „sporty“ was always a little odd to me. But yeah, let‘s just enjoy the nostalgia while we can
@@buddytheoc Jock comes with a negative connotation attached that Harry doesn't really fit, even if he *is* a star athlete.
Motorsports like F1 and such do have a harsh effect on the human body. You have to be fit for them, not only because of weight reduction, but because race cars will 100% kick your ass going so fast and turning so hard. It's like being a fighter pilot.
I assume riding a broomstick isn't much different. Especially for the Chasers and Seeker.
Harry's not described as being very built, no, but then JK never went into much detail beyond giving basic descriptions of their appearance, like Ron being gangly and freckly, and Hermione being buck toothed and bushy haired.
Built was the wrong word, I just meant the strongest/most athletic of the three.
@@Mr-Trox I agree with you. To be honest, I am German and I translated the pamphlets content from memory. It is very possible that „sporty“ is not the best aquivalent to its German counterpart they used which I dont remember anymore. And again, as a kid I did not really think of the whole allegorical argument with Formula 1 drivers who clearly have to be fit and lean.

I love you Harry Potter game videos! It's a wonderful addition to my day
I remember that mirror dungeon being one of my favorites lol
Also yes, some of the bookcases are actually shortcuts. As Ron, you can open them and hidden passages, explaining how Fred and George could get around so fast as well. Why didn't he use it sooner in the games? I dunno, I'm not a game developer.
Anyways, you can also search coat racks and the like for beans and goodies. Anything that has a faint blue shimmer on it naturally, which only shows up when you play Ron. (Not to be confused with the flippendo shimmer effect)
When someone says Oi, I'm required by law to think of TNT by ACDC.
