Visual approach to runway 32 at Rijeka International Airport, Krk Island, Croatia. Airbus A320 cockpit view. Produced in 4k.
Approach starts over the city of Rijeka and continues over the island of Krk, with beautiful views of Soline Bay, the healing mud beach of Meline Bay and the cities of Klimno, Soline and Cizici and the Vinodol Channel.
Originally we were cleared for an ILS (instrument landing system) approach to runway 14. Due to an increasing tailwind, we decided to discontinue the ILS approach and to fly a visual approach to runway 32 and landed with headwind.

I must admit that the control tower looks odd because it's rectangular and not circular.

London Heathrow - Rijeka, Croatia Airlines je imala tu rutu jednu ili dvije sezone prije nego što su je ukinuli.
Trans. Croatia Airlines had thar route for one or two seasons before they cancceled it.

Here is an update. The plane came from Duesseldorf in Germany and it was a Eurowings flight.

Thank you for your comment. I agree with you. The approach to Split runway 23 is more spectacular and much more challenging for the pilot because of the mountains. But approaching Rijeka runway 32 gives you also nice views of a very beautiful area.

Approach and Departure Videos Yes Sir, in my opinion Pula, Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik, Tivat have an amazing scenery from all sides :) Even Zagreb is very nice. Sorry for writing in croatian I simply taught you are from here. Happy flying :)
