Thank you for your insightful videos. I love seeing an insider scoop into the lives of other race mechanics. They don't make many videos like this for my series
Would love to see some set up details. I know you can't get into the 3'rd dampers but any info about what you guys do for a set up would be awesome. If you can get into details like the preload range you shoot for on the torsion springs, acceptable weight splits across the front & rear. I have a Norma M30 that I've up spec'd and any deep dive into the how and why of processes and set up are great knowledge for me.
Championships like F2 have moved to electric wheel guns for stops now and I’ve noticed that more & more GT teams use them in the garages during practice sessions. Supercars in Australia are supposed to be trying to introduce them too. Do you think ACO series will end up moving this way?
Yes for sure they are becoming more popular and the technology for them now means they are more than good enough for the job. I haven't heard anything about them changing but I wouldn't be surprised if they do change in the near future.
Just found your channel, love the content! I'm going to college for automotive technology, I want to make it to F1, I would love to see a vid about how you got to where you are and how mechanics can get into racing. Thanks!
@@TheMotorsportMechanic I am currently writing my master's thesis on suspension geometry of our upcoming formula student race car so i am very much looking forward to that Video! So feel free to dive a little deeper into the topic :D
MAns theres so much things we dont know here watching racing. i hope dont happens to you guys but.. when the car crash what is the procedure? we see on tv sometimes a car fix in one day. keep making this videos is a joy
Sadly crashing happens to everyone at some point it's a part of motorsport. If it is during a event we will get it fixed as fast as possible to get the car back out for the next session.

Yeah I can do a video at some point in the workshop when we have time about how we set the car up. Nice the Norma is a nice car, great to work on.

Yes please. Anything on how much work goes into aligning and how you manage changing a corner but keeping straight.
Think it'd be pretty cool to see what all the buttons, etc are for on the steering wheel and dash.

Would your average 1in impact forse putting on semi truck lug nuts not fit into that socket it looks like a 1-inch
Yes the socket is a 1 inch drive so could work on that
Could you please go over the suspension System of the car? Would love to see that and also how to Mount the parts. Really love your content!
Thanks and yes I will try and do a video of the suspension and setup stuff at some point

Oh my God that is crazy expensive. I better not see someone throw it or drop those guns and nuts. I would lose it if I had to pay for that
Yeah it still blows my mind the money involved and that's only a small part of it.
even in Karting, you own a shop and you can print money.
