I saw the picture of this on Instagram and knew it had to be a latte cake! I absolutely adore that yarn, it's so soft and washes soooo well ❤
Beautiful!!! I've been looking for a pattern for the afghan I promised to make for my 6-year-old grandson, and I do believe I've found it! You're right Crystal, it's much easier than the finished product makes it look. While watching the video, I was so excited that there weren't any back post stitches! And then, bam... the border! 😂 But I'm pretty sure I can hang with back posts for a few rows to achieve this stunning afghan. My grandson is gonna love it!

CRYSTAL,…I am sooo excited! I have always loved the waffle stitch,…but MOST Call for a BP Dc…which I cannot get the hang of, and I DON,T THINK I WOULD EVER LIKE DOING IT….THE Fpdc is great, kinda fun…so I can do this Waffle stitch….thank you!…I love it..❤️❤️
Gracious i need new glasses. I thought it said waffle basket 😂. Asked my husband, Have you ever heard of a waffle basket? Google it...and then I saw it was a blanket. Now I'm hungry for waffles.
That yarn makes so much of a difference to something simple (a good type of simple, the waffle stitch is a lovely stitch pattern still)

This is beautiful! I like how you always do a turning ch 1 instead of 2 or 3; it creates a really neat edge with no holes, and I love the ribbed border

Hi Crystal! This is one of my favorite stitches! I made my mom a queen size blanket using this stitch with Homespun yarn and it came out so heavy warm and snuggly! I know a lot of people think Homespun is hard to work with but I have no problem with it at all. Its actually one of my favorite yarns. Thank you for sharing this tutorial. The waffle stitch is such a fun pattern! I've never thought of using this stitch with a fuzzy yarn. It really softens it and makes it look like a very fluffy waffle. 😁 I'm actually making a waffle stitch blanket for my brother right now. With the yarn I chose, I decided to do the waffle stitch in a rectangular pattern going round and round. It's completely changed how the yarn would have looked had I done it in straight rows back and forth. I'm going to have to actually take a picture of it and post it for you to see. (Most of the time I keep forgetting to take pictures to post because our lighting is so bad.) Thank for this tutorial because it gave me the chance to see how beautiful this stitch is with fuzzy yarn. Blessings!
