This is sad not only for the mother of those kids and the kid himself, but the billions of parents who are now worrying about a time that is supposed to be fun and cheerful.
Billions...?
@@nickyblue4866 it's just an exaggeration. I couldn't tell you the exact statistics.
Halloween is actually supposed to be evil.. why would you say it's fun 🤣
@@stonehaven2289 Guess I'm now the devil, oh well!
@@Savma64 no you are right there are billions of people on earth. There are millions just in the usa
This might sound weird, but the fact that he made his poor baby suffer through so much pain as he was dying makes the murder like 1000xs worse, if that's even possible.. RIP to that sweet little boy💔
No part of that sounds weird, just true...
that does not sound weird at all
He was the precursor to BTK, only his anagram would've been PTC; Poison, Torture and Cash-in. He probably smiled either glee as his child writhed in agony in his arms, the evil bastard.
@@themoonlitquill what?
The story is fake. Cyanide does not smell like almonds, in fact almonds don't even have a smell. And cyanide just smells like chemicals, similar to a cleaning product or something. Look up NileRed's video on it. He smells cyanide and bitter almonds, and comments that they do not have the same smell.
I love crime documentaries, expecially when u tell them
It's weird how we're told not to take candy from strangers, but it's okay only on Halloween🤔🤔
Well when it started your neighbours weren't strangers, everyone knew who lived in their neighbourhood
@@cottoncandiez8872 except as a gen z, no one in my generation knows what neighbors are 😕
@@squarebreads I do :D
Yeah, I agree, but when I was still celebrating my family and I only went trunk or treating at our school and went to my other family's houses.
@@kidneytransplantwarrior21 ha ha trunk XD
I swear, these stories just keep getting creepier every time and I like that! Keep up the nice work Jack!
You know you fucked up when even the inmates hates you
You got a point
I remember when this happened. Parents from all over USA were extremely leary about Halloween/trick or treating for a long time! I didn't know the man nor his victim but he messed with MY Halloween as well!
In America (where I’m from), I seen a lot of parents wrapping up their childrens halloween candy collecting because of this. People in my area are still Leary as this was very sick, and other kids would’ve ended just like
Timothy, if weren’t for the police. Also, that’s why at a lot of Halloween parties, people check the drinks if they do fruit punch because of this. This case literally ruined Halloween, and also messed with my Halloween as well. I’m glad I stopped a long time ago. Not that it happens as much anymore, it’s still sad knowing what happened, and also that people don’t trick or treat the same.
Jack I remember when all of this happened. This is definitely the man who killed Halloween it has never been the same since anywhere. Some kids didn't even get to go outside because of what this idiot did. And now this is the quintessential Halloween story great job Jack!!!
Holy shit out of all the people to do it, the father did it. Never would I thought that someone would kill their own child.
I sure didn't expect that, either.
Sometimes greed does that to you.
Obviously it's not excusable, but yk.
I mean he could've just killed himself and let his family take the life insurance instead but noooo he decided to murder his child with cyanide.
Are you being facetious?
unfortunately that is common. Filicide is from what I read the 2nd most common ways a child will get murdered. Number one is other family member. Sadly a child should be more concerned about family than a stranger
I've heard this story told many times and this is by far the best coverage of what happened well done
You know you dun goofed up when the prisoners hate you
Found it really hard to "like" this video, but, gotta boost your channel, Jack. Your work is important, I hope you know that. Thanks for what you do
It’s why I like all his stuff. No matter the subject. Jack deserves the recognition.
I can't believe I never heard of this incident before. What a fucking monster. Unbelievable that he would do that to his own kids, but beyond evil that he planned to kill 3 other children as collateral damage. Damn.
Wow!! I lived thru this.. Grew up in Pasadena, TX when this whole thing went down! It Truly Did Kill Halloween
The myth even reached PR because we weren’t allowed to go outside to get candy because of that man, my parents would say people are giving out tainted candy.
This was so sad. They are worried about people giving out there edibles. Please need to be more worried about weirdos doing things like this. Nobody giving up their edibles 🤣😂
You can only hope
if they were giving out edibles, i would go trick or treating more often.
Sorry- but that's just uptight old women projecting!!!
NO ONE!!! I REPEAT - NO ONE!!
ZERO PPL
are going to just GIVE out edibles to kids... Especially kids they don't know.
Have you seen the prices of those things??
For just a small dose you're talking $20 or more. If you're someone who dabbles in THC. then you're looking at $40.
The cheapest pack is still like $20.
No one's doing this!!
I said- especially strangers kids.. cause
I only say that... young adults giving it to teenagers... To be the cool parents.
I've seen it.
But that really don't count.
To just give to a toddler you'll never see again.
No one's just tossing $20s like that.
They would put it in dog poo or something gross and FREE first.
Ppl ain't just got money like THAT
It was on the news the other day a kid got went to a trunk or treat thing at church and he got a thc gummy a few kids did. someone actually accidentally passed out the wrong kind of gummies the kids had to be monitored because some were feeling messed up
Those gummies are expensive. Any idiot who confuses them deserves to lose his stash.
Man... can you ever tell a story..a sad one but with a good ending.🎃
This channel is literally all about murder and dark stuff though?
If he told mostly happy endings then it wouldn't have the same appeal.
@@LevitheEldritchAbomination He’s most asking to do happy endings all the times though???
@@corimoon3360 Please reword your reply because I have zero Idea what you mean
@@LevitheEldritchAbomination i second this statement
No one went trick or treating around our neighborhood this year because of the fentanyl scare here... Halloween is my favorite day of the year and it's just sad it's being ruined more and more every yr...
Your full video uploads are my favorite videos on RUclips
Showing LOVE for the channel thank you for the work you put into each and every video you do I'm a huge fan of the channel. Thanks again man and have a blessed day everyone
That ending though ... Well done Jack!
I'VE HEARD OF THIS BEFORE AND EVERYTHING YOU ARE STATING IS "FACTS" ITS TRULY SCARY AND SAD ALL AT THE SAME TIME..
I've actually heard about that guy when I was a kid in the 80s and my parents still checked out the candy before me and my brother could have any
What type of dad would do this I hope This Kid Gets all The candy he wants in heaven
What monster would do this. Halloween is supposed to be a beautiful night of free candy and hanging out with freinds, and then there are sick twisted people who ruin this by poisining random children and overall being horrible.
Finally another long form upload from you, love your content man, you & John Ballen need to Collab.
1974 was the last year I ever went to trick or treating I was 14 but very short I had to go it alone my friends said we were too old. I knew I could pull it off one more time so I did but that was the year of the Candyman who ruined it for thousands of children to come poetic justice that he died on Halloween night. So satisfying that karma catches up with those who do evil. Love you Jack
i watched it from start to finish, W video my guy
Glad that you're uploading again
Great videos. Really gives the spooks
Can we all agree that Jack delivers the best content handsdown.
There are so many good channels out there but he is way up there.
Hey! The last time I went trick or treating as a kid, 1964, my parents wouldn't let me eat anything from my bag because poison was supposed to be in the trick or treat bags, as well as razor blades in apples and candied apples.
Love ya Jack...never a dull moment
He got what was coming to him, what a sick, sick, man. Still can’t believe that he wouldve done that, and its suprising that someone with a nonexistent criminal history would do this. Cant trust anyone on halloween, it seems
Ur hand gestures are really impressive i love it... 💖✨
this takes: "always check your halloween candy" to a whole new level
Its so sad because he only wanted to go trick or treating.
He wanted to go out with friends even during all the rain and down pour.
They just wanted to eat candy and go to sleep.
He never knew this would happen and ended up vomiting to death.
I can only imagine how the father must feel..
Poor boy. I hope he rests in peace with all the pixy sticks he could ever want. :(
The father is the one who killed his son. How did you miss that?
But...
The father is the one that killed him-
As soon as I heard "Halloween night, 1974" I thought of Michael Myers 😂
This story is so sad I've heard it so many times
What happened to that rumor about people putting razor blades in chocolate bars? Was it true?
I was born in 1970 and I totally remember those Halloween customes. They were the Best!!! The masks would cut your cheeks and you could never see out of the eye holes. 🤣🤣🤣🎃🎃👻👻💀💀☠️☠️👽👽👿👿
And you could never almost breathe out of it
@@AmericanGrunt. you got that right!! 🤣🤣🤣
love your videos so much
This might be the reason why parents check halloween candy
So we dont die
So is this where the fear of laced candy comes from...? Thats really insane, actually. One single case defined Halloween for decades to come.
CONGRATS ON 12M🎉🎉🎉
And this is where the urban myth about poison/razor blade candy came from. There has literally been zero instances where laced candy has been handed out to tricker treaters.
My mother never allowed me to celebrate Halloween 🎃. I really appreciate her for that.
Not all candies are poisoned
Even the prisoners Hated him
I already heard this story before and it’s pretty nuts
So heartbreaking 😔
This is the real definition of *Always check your halloween candy*
damn this guy has a serious talent for storytelling
“Your rich neighbors are handing out the good stuff.”💀
The thumbnail looks like something from troom troom or 5 minute crafts
His own child is just so sad
Great, now I’m terrified to go trick or treating
Creepiness people can make enjoyable things terrifyin 😖 , Happy Halloween y'all!! Peace and much love to y'all all!! 😁✌️♥️💯🙏
That took a dark twist fast
The second you said he gave him a pixie stick (even though the kid picked lollipop) you knew it was him. How on earth you can kill your own child is beyond me.
Ruin Halloween for all time.
That's crazy. I grew up and lived in Houston all the surrounding areas you just mentioned
What's crazy that I used to live in that area, Pasadena, TX. I've heard some crazy stories when I lived there. What's crazier, this story happened a year after the Houston Mass Murders caused by Dean Corll aka The Candy Man.
I love your videos
Hold up though, how did my man "lean in to feel tims breath" when my guy is DEADD
I'm adding this into my Halloween Horror Story List
The other sad thing is how as Americans we are so quick to panic about things...a parent poisoning their own child...causing the rest of our parents to fear that strangers are poisoning children's candy, or razor blades (another parent) when it was always someone who targeted the members of their own family, but the rest of America is scared for their children, but they don't seem to hear the part about it ALWAYS being a family member and NEVER a stranger to poison an unknown child with Halloween candy. What is wrong with people?
As soon as I heard that Timothy picked a lollipop but Roland gave him a pixy stik instead. I knew something was suspicious
I love it when someone gets what they deserved
Thanks!
Bravo! Excellent work.
this is why always check your candy
I miss pixie sticks. I also miss the innocence and fearlessness we had as kids.
Damn thats crazy I didn’t even know this happened in my own city of houston 😮 rip to that little boy 😢
one of the few times someone gets ill/dies from candy and its a family member
(ill not because of eating to much candy that is)
U finally started posting again yay
Nice vid jack
The Candyman can cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good
He certainly did kill Halloween. He changed it a lot, going forward, for the worse. He created all the paranoia that now happens every Halloween, since that night. He is why parents started checking their kid's candy. Etc. So sad. Especially since. The only case of Halloween candy tampering / poisoning etc. is this case.
Disgusting, you're supposed to love your child, not see them as money bags
I am glad that my children are grown. I wouldn't let kids go trick or treating. I don't trust people much anymore.
Ur the best true crime reporter love ur channel
This is why u don't celebrate Halloween
I tried not to cry to this
Who would do such a thing to a poor child
I remember the candy stigma back then. It was crazy. My mom didn’t play that. We had bags of candy, but until she looked at every piece, we couldn’t have any. That went on for a few years. It was said to have razor blades and shit in them too!
Thanks for the link XX
This same or similar situation happened in the early 80's in Colorado. I was a kid and remember that a married couple was putting cyanide in medicines and sweets that fall. Halloween was literally cancelled that year.
Some people are sick. Imagine doing this. Unbelievable.
I was born 21 days after his arrest. I remember my parents always sat down at the kitchen table and individually scrutinized every piece of candy. If they found Pixie Stix, they were immediately trashed. Apples and oranges were tossed, caramels and candy bars were checked for syringe holes, and if there was even a small wear tear in the wrapper, they tossed it. It's because of people like this POS that Safe Street was invented later on, because there are just miserable, hateful people in the world that despise kids, apparently.
This also reminds me of Dennis Rader aka the BTK Killer. Upstanding community member, church going father and husband; but a killer psychopath in subterfuge.
Because of shit like this, we always check our candy, and try to remember which house gave what.
My dad is super worried about this because we live in a druggie town.
Just last Sunday, apparently a drug dealer down our street got arrested.
But, I remind dad that I don't think drug dealers give handouts, not even secretly in candy.
Granted, you never know.
Actually drug dealers do tend to give out "free samples" to kids, hoping that after they try it they'll want more (and pay for it). Also, maybe you have heard about a couple recent cases where people were poisoned by touching something random they saw on the ground. There was fentanyl on the objects and that is an EXTREMELY dangerous drug that is easily absorbed through the skin and a very tiny amount can kill you. So be careful out there. Sorry you are living in a town with a lot of drug users/dealers around. It's no wonder your dad worries about you.
@@horsepanther I more or less meant they they wouldn't give secret freebies, but that's a good thing to know!
And yeah, I'm happy he worries about me.
He's a good dad.
Oh I heard this guy before
Having lost 2 of our children because of miscarriage I don't know how you can possibly want to kill your son
I sorry for you
Oh my goodness i feel really really sorry for you
I really cannot imagine the feeling of loosing 2 children
Are you doing better now?
@NuggetDoggo it's been a while since we lost them, not gonna say it's easy but you find ways to deal with it
Candy killed?
Damn
Jack I love your videos please upload my bangers like this it's so entertaining 😣
This is why you check your Halloween candy. I found a fully loaded original 1950 Thompson SMG in my Twix. I could have choked, glad I checked my candy.
Ever since I was a kid we weren’t allowed to eat the candy until our parents looked at it, I didn’t know why till now!
There was a similar video on Russian RUclips from Utopia Show. But in any case, thanks for the video, it's quite interesting to listen to the same information with different presentation and in different languages.
I LOVE the old home movies of Halloween!
You can tell those costumes are from probably the 60's and 70's lol cause I remember them 🤣
2:45 here’s the part where the short started
I got a Sweet tarts ad at the end
